   Wow ender, where do you find this stuff. I've already got Ashampoos Winoptimizer which is a cool piece of kit. Not sure where I can use the rest as i've already got what I need, but it's gretat to be able to get their older software for free. It seems like other big sofware houses give away older versions of their software as well. (forgot the name but there are posts elsewhere on the forums about the company).

   Thanks ender. Didn't quite understand since it's not English, but I got the gist of it!
   One question.. I already have their Burning Studio 6.. do I have to uninstall that to install this one or will it upgrade. Anyone know?

   well, i was too lazy to make an post in English, and since I didnt test it, I dont know if their versions were available in English, so I did only post in the German forum.

   and whiterabbit, I have an extra gmail account, just for my million freeware software newsletters (aside from using RSS feeds), so yeah :D
   i hate to miss good and free stuff.

   and while I know, where to get all the cracked stuff now, I dont really resort to it, since a) giveaway often has the stuff i want, sooner or later.
   b) there is so much freeware or open source, that is either as good or nearly as good a paidware and most are free for private users.

   copmom, I would , unless you already have specific setting profiles you want to keep, just go for a clean uninstall and new install of the software.
   (best uninstaller for free would be revo uninstaller , here are short reviews:

   when you install the soft only the mail must be fill the two other are optional (freiwillig) in german

   Ender, thanks for the list.

   Copmom, I have both Burning Studio 6 and 2008 versions installed on my PC. I have found that the programs with a year in the name seem to have slightly fewer menu options than those with a single number. In this case there are small differences in the options available, rather than one having more than the other. I don't know if the differences are only in the descriptions or in the functionality. Try them both and see which you prefer. If you uninstall version 6 make sure you have retained the license key in case you want to go back to it.

    I concur w Ender about Revo. It is indeed better and does a great job.
    You can tick/untick at different levels, make sure everything from a soft you need deleted is - and what you don't want isn't.
    We tried several, never satisfied. Even tried the ones offered by GOTD, thinking commercial SW would be better - They weren't.
    Been using Revo for a couple of years.
