   For those of you having troubles installing and activating:

   -Install and activate todays giveaway.

   -Please continue this way:

   1.Send your unique User ID by email to fga@webgraphicsoft.com.
   Make sure you copy it properly(18) or you won’t get an answer.
   (don’t use the copy button)

   2.You will get an email with your reg code and a link to download another version of the program.

   3.Uninstall the Gaotd version.
   4.Install the new version.

   5.When you launch this second version you will get a screen to enter your reg code and a “rigester is success” window.

   Success to all of you.

   Or maybe GAOTD could ask webgraphicsoft.com to upload a new version.

   How lame...!
   I installed gotd version. Although surely nice, I will remove this software and that's it... Are editor crazy asking to install, send an email, uninstall, reinstall...
   And what else ?

   What else ? Just the trash bin, I'm sorry.

   Hi Jaddis,

   I've now been waiting almost 5 hours - I think the monkey they trained to type the numbers in and reply to the emails, has gone looking for some bananas. :(

   Is there some procedure that has to be followed to send that email? Does the User ID get pasted in the subject or the body of the email? If the ID is suppose to go in the body then what goes in the subject? Also, is there a specific Username that has to be used? As an aside I noticed that if the User ID is copied and pasted in the email by using the right-click menu that ID number is NOT the same if the ID is copied to the clipboard by using the Copy button on their registration window. Can anyone confirm this? It may be the reason people are having all this registration problems (myself included). As for all these theories going out, stranger things have happened, but I find it difficult to believe that a developer would do something like this merely as a ruse for building a mailing list.

   Just paste the full unique USER ID in the body of the mail.Don't use the copy button.
   Subject:Flex GIF Animator
   Use Gmail or whatever.Click send. :)
   And wait...a couple of days I suppose
   You could try sending some bananas, as BuBBy did suggest, to speed things up.

   This really seems to have been my lucky day...
   It took about 30'' to get the email with the registration code .
   I suppose all reg codes will be sent eventually.

   What makes me really *REALLY* mad is that GOTD appears to be ignoring the situation, well that's what it looks like! No "we're onto it" or "sorry folks, we'll get it sorted" not even a "yes we are aware of the situation". They may or may not be sorting it, but it appears that they couldn't give a crap. (Yes I @#@*&%# well know I swore). In the UK it's a Bank Holiday, but even I have been trying to help a few good folks of this forum out today SO WHY CAN'T GOTD. Actually it makes GOTD as bad as "Web Graphic Software Inc" in my books. There I said it, maybe I'll calm down now.

    Sent them bananas and some of my coffee - but nothing came back.
    Meanwhile I have registered 6 programs with Ashampoo, without any troubles.

    Hello, my first time here. First time downloading a program.

    I sent 2 emails. No reply. Second one I included a screenshot of the screen with the User ID number.
    Figured that way they can't say I didn't follow instructions or was not within the time limits.
    Heh...

    Does this kind of thing happen a lot here? Or is this a rare?

    Hi scri8e, Welcome to the forums.

    This is most definitely a first (and hopefully a last).

    (I'm still waiting for a response & activation code some 17 hours later - so I'm fairly certain your lack of response is not because you didn't follow instructions).

    Normally it takes about 20 seconds or less. Stick around - only a few hours until the next giveaway.

    No scri8e this sort of thing doesn't happen often - don't let it put you off :)

    Maybe the drugs Robert put in the bananas first made you happy (that's how he got his software) and then put you into a deep sleep (which is why we didn't get ours). LOL

    Poor Robert, don't worry we're not really blaming you.... well not all the time. ;D

    Hello and welcome to the forum. To answer your question no this does not happen very often. In fact almost never. I have been using this site many months this has only happened once before. Eventually the problem was fixed but it took about a day and a half. Check out this thread to read about why this Giveaway is having problems.

    I give up. Going to bed. Hopefully it will be in..in the morn. Since I did the GAOTD activation hopefully it will reg then.

    Welcome scribe and BTW Really nice website. Lots of nice graphic goodies I saw as I glanced through it. I know a few people from another graphics forum that would have a field day if I gave them the url to your site.. Bling, bling! :) ....if you don't mind.

    I’m thinking maybe the software site only set up 1 code for the GAOTD I.D. that we’re all sending in and Robert’s email was the first one to get the ONLY one code back. If their email server went down they should have at least gotten a few more codes out to others before the server going down. It reminds me of the time when in a band I use to take care of the band's mailing list and went to send out like 100 emails and got suspended by my IP Compuserve at the time for sending spam, but at least 40 on the list got their mail from me. More then just Robert should have gotten a code back before their sever went down. Looks to me a big miscommunication between GAOTD and Web Graphics Software.

    No, the codes are all different!
    That maybe the problem. As of this post it is 3 hours to the new giveaway, lol, Have to go out of town for about 2 weeks!

    I'm hoping that if we get the code pass the time limit it will still work. From the 2 projects I tried this seems like a good program to try and keep. I like the many features it has, more then the few freebies I've come across. Just that the trial version has the DEMO watermark. Does look like a promising program. Oh well onto the next Give Away. 2 hours to go.
