funky, that first picture, with the fence, looks just like my childhood backyard. Is that weird? We did have a swing set and a small picnic table in there too. I'm not kidding.

Over on the "amazing" thread, we were talking about starting a "weird" thread. Can we use yours as that thread? I've got some strange things that, as you said, just don't fit anywhere else.

    definitely!

i thought there had been some discussion of a weird thread, but i couldn't find it.

i have a friend who is a stand-up comedian. he does a lot of word/language stuff. one of his bits points out that it's "i before e except after c............. or if it's weird". i thought it was pretty funny.

    Hi GirlFriend Mama Funky
Thank You for the new thread.
This place is getting "Weirder" everyday, so why not ;D

Say ... why can't I understand that joke?
"i before e except after c............. or if it's weird"
Been looking at it for a bit ... No, Nothing lights up in my brain!

And as always, my back thanks you :-)

in english it's a basic spelling rule when the letters i and e are adjacent, i goes before e (fierce) unless they follow the letter c (perceive) or the word "sounds like" a (weigh). the word weird doesn't fall into any of the "exceptions" categories.

    and that is weird.

as always, me and my swords and butter knives and toothpicks are there for you.
    no thanks required.
    ;D

Brett Wilson and Keith Lowell Jensen have a blog dedicated to the Truly Awful Stuff they've give to each other over the years. It all started with "a small plastic statue of a child, on a toilet, clutching t.p. in his (or her) hand, shedding a big tear as the water in the toilet mysteriously foams over. On the back of the toilet was a slot to insert coins. Yes, it was a bank."

It's really awful what people collect - we have some of those curiosities too.
But all those health-lies can be dangerous, not only for your purse.

OTOH I could need some vitamins or some hugs or both, am plain weird too, can't get my other computer online. Each time I only look at it, my brain freezes - weird...

If you're a Star Wars fan, you probably, often think of it and discuss it with your friends as If Star Wars Was Real. So much information exists on planets, species, technology and the force, that it might as well be! In fact, you may know more about Star Wars than you do about the 'real world'. We all know what a creative genious George Lucas was as a story teller, and we also know of his passion for history, which caused us to ask the question: "How much of Star Wars is influenced by real events in the past?"
