  1. Hey there folks. A warning, this requires .NET framework as indicated. Previously given away was iMoney, which didn’t require the framework, so I am favoring that way over this. Note that the file for the framework is over 200MB, so this isn’t a great option for people with slow internet. I put up a small review which I am updating as installation completes. I have a T1 line, so just need to install the framework really quick. Overall, it isn’t looking to great in my eyes, but we’ll see how it installs. Full review and subsequent photos to be up soon are below.

  2. Was going to say “I don’t care about 200 meg, I have .Net installed already”, but this giveaway application did not like the version of .Net I have (for x64). Tried to apply a MS update for compatibility with . NET 3.5, but it didn’t go either. I really need an expense tracker but stuck now with discovering .Net updates.

If there’s anyone with x64 and gets the today’s application running – what .NET do you run or had to install?

  3. Today’s games have been posted over in the game discussion forums. There’s two unusual puzzle games, on of which has been nominated as a finalist for innovation at the Independent Games Festival, these are Afterlife and Mightier respectively and the Western game is called Smokin Guns. and an excellent first/third person Western Shooter. You can find details and some videos of game play via the link below:

I didn’t download this the last time it was given away four months ago, so am glad it has been repeated. Those who don’t like Microsoft’s Net Framework won’t like this one because you require v3.5 for this program to work. Some games require Net Framework so I’ve had to install it anyway. :) Installation is a breeze, with a separate installation set up file and activation module. You have to install the Net Framework first, which seemed to take forever to install. I thought it had frozen at one point as the installation bar hadn’t moved for several minutes so I cancelled it and re started. Thankfully the second time it installed much quicker.

There’s been several useful upgrades from v1.3 which include multi currency use, which is great for Europe with all our currencies. Then there are account transfers which in today’s climate is also a useful feature. Transferring your money between the best paying interest accounts is a must have. The read me tells you all the updates.

The GUI (graphics user interface) is simple and easy to use; and with features like a built in currency exchange rate calculator I think this is going to be a useful package. No doubt there are some good freeware alternatives which I will be checking out as well as and when community members post them. (Thanks in advance  )

Thanks again to Indentix and the giveaway team for bringing something useful.

    Regards Whiterabbit.
