This program only revovers data from compressed files? It seems that I have more data on mobile phone than on the computer as compressed files. I think I need Android Data Recovery instead. I am still waiting for such a giveaway.

Maybe I'm missing something here but I have don't remember the last time I had a problem with a compressed file. I don't really see this as that big of a problem and definitely not enough to spend $60 on a program to fix it.

Is this intended to recover archives that have somehow been corrupted? Or can this recover archives that are password protected? I don't have any corrupt archives to test this on, nor do I even know how to corrupt one intentionally. If it just recovers these types of files from a formatted drive or deleted partition, how is this different than any other file recovery utility other than it ONLY targets files with a known archive type file extension?

If this program allows me to open password-protected archives without the correct password, it would be very useful. I didn't see anything about that function on their website, and judging from the reviews so far, the program wouldn't be worth installing otherwise. I understand the difference between repair and password recovery, but wanted to inquire before testing it. Thanks.

I just tried it on a password protected .rar file. It said it had successfully recovered the files but the results were unreadable, and half of the "recovered" files were 2KB or smaller.

Took a few minutes to get the idea of what he was trying to do and how to use it properly, but have now tried to use it on lots of archives and it seems to work well. No crashes so far. I will be keeping this one

Come-on people, 123 votes (mostly negative) and only 3 comments. If you have a problem with the program offered here, at least post a comment.

I agree with Jeff. If you vote, post a comment as to why you are in favor or NOT in favor. JS.

Spot on Jeff. Should be no review no vote. I care less about numbers than quality.

Installed and registered without problems, opens up to a very simple interface.
Would be nice to choose a folder to search but instead had to choose a whole partition.
After the search it created a list on the left hand side and this is where I really started to dislike the program.
It is not possible to sort this unsorted list alphabetically and the top bar for search does not allow wild cards rendering it pretty well useless.

From a user point of view I found it very poor for the price, a $59 program that has the look and the feel of a $10 one. The type that makes you wonder if the developer has ever tried to use it.

Did not really test its recovery capabilities because I found it so frustrating to use, will test that later when I don't feel like taking a sledgehammer to my computer.

Installed and registered without problems on a Win 8.1.3 Pro 64 bit system. A clean install.

Today's software is part of the MunSoft Data Recovery Suite 2.0, which was GOTD on January 10, 2015:

The same version Easy Archive Recovery 2.0 was GOTD on June 3, 2014:

Todays version is at least a new built - the same version number but:

I update my existing version - never used up to now, but who knows.
Read the old reviews.
Have a happy Easter!
