Hello,

I have come to know of your site only today.

For latecomers like me, is it possible to have access to and to download any of the software that were as a free give away for any day before today?
Is it possible to obtain them for free now?

I can see that we can download them as a trial version from the archives but that is not what I am seeking. Can we download them free as a 1 year free usage?

Awaiting an early reply.

Warm Regards,
Leena A.
Mumbai, India

Thanks all comments.

For an individual, it maybe bot applicable.
But please consider the company requirement: send birthday greetings to 30,000 employees manually? This is an impossible task.

In fact, most clients of AMSBE are companies.

Just noted.

This might be a fine free toy but $50 is just ridiculous for what it does. (I know it's free here today, but I'm talking about what the publisher expects.)

A program to remind one of birthdays and important dates is practical, especially for a birthday for someone you hardly know. But even that isn't worth more than $20 at best. Even for a husband.

The trick is to send the birthday wishes for all your friends and family to yourself a day or so in advance of the real event so that you can make the phone call or buy a card and or gift and get the enjoyment of giving!!

I can see aa backwards use for this as I wouldn't mind entering my friends and family's birthdays to send ME an email reminder (e.g., Mom's birthday/anniversary/whatever next week) so I can choose to send a personal greeting. Yes I do use a calendar but I respond better to an email. However the one year limitation keeps me from using this gaotd. Thanks for spawning the idea and may look for alternative freeware.

For this program to work, you had better hope that Gramps and Grandma have a computer and email.

I gave up trying to find out how to insert the GOTD license key. I don't understand the need for an SMTP link. Just too much jazz. Uninstalled.

Well the website tells of a few different licenses, and each costing different amounts from free through enterprise with free only allowing 6 contacts.....

So, which is included with this giveaway?

Nothing showy, very static, I can make my own boring email with an attached picture... I prefer the animated ecards.

To make myself a little safer from identity theft I tend to register on unimportant websites with a birthdate of 1st January. This way, if criminals get access to my information (on the unimportant site) they will not get key information for accessing my important stuff (like bank accounts).
Anyway, as a result of this I get many automatic birthday wishes sent to me (from unimportant websites) on 1st January every year.
What's the point of my comment? I don't find these automatic birthday wishes to be particularly endearing. In fact, I would appreciate some software that would automatically filter these (verging on spam) emails.
Do I want to send my own? No!

A question:
Is it possible to use a free SMTP service so not to get problems with our own ISP?
Alternatively, would be possible to use an SMTP desktop software?
If so, any free SMTP free software that you may recommend?
What?! I am not able to count?
No, no, no...
It is just one question split using three question marks.

A couple of ideas about using this program not just fro greetings...

First of all, if you set the option "rich text" you'll get a sort of WYSIWYG editor.
That way you may create and save a page in HTML format.
Quite handy if you do not have a HTML editor.
For simple one page only you do not need a lot more.

This works also just a mail-merge program.
Why use this only for greetings or festival.
This can be quite useful also for sending invitations to friends:
Halloween party, mid-summer BBQ in your garden, any occasion you like.

Just be creative and this program can be useful in many different ways...

I wanted to post this using the "Leave feedback" panel but I did find it somewhat cumbersome to use...
So I'll publish my suggestions here.

Among the various options is possible to set the number of days I want to send you greeting ahead.
Unfortunately this option works for both festivals and birthdays.
It would be more flexible to have the possibility to set this option separately for those two different cases.
Let me explain:
In some countries greeting "Happy Birthday" before the birth day is considered a potential bad omen.
To the contrary, for festival, effectively, sending an alert in advance cab be very useful.
Hence my idea about having the possibility to set those two options separately.

What a dreadful idea.
OK so you forget someone's birthday, fair enough, maybe you send a belated greeting later, perhaps with an apology; at least that's personal.
Sending automated wishes is not personal, it's not a wish at all: it is no more than a robot carrying out a chore and it means you don't care about the addressee or have any interest in his/her well-being.

fennec: At the top of the page there is a bar with links (Windows, Games, Android, iPhone). Click "Games".

Actually not a bad idea. I am notoriously awful about remembering birthdays and special occasions. It might seem a bit impersonal, especially if you don't change the messaged from year to year, but still probably better then having to apologize for forgetting altogether.

What? Really? Try 123Greetings at www.123Greetings.com Lots of cards of every kind and nature. Include your own text in a bunch of different styles and colors. Cards include an audio file of your choosing. Import your contacts into the Address book and set up automated reminders for when you want them. Best of all... its FREE. No subscription required. No application software needed. Unlimited Address book.

123greetings has been mentioned many, many times as an email harvesting/spam site. If you send someone a greeting card through them the odds are that you just signed them up to receive a bunch of spam and marketing material they did not want nor asked for...some present you are giving them.

Thank you for this offer, at first thought i thought it to be an email client.
I use Email Sender Deluxe for this purpose.
This program is not too pretty, just like a Birthday reminder; which Facebook does better.
I have no use for this except using it to send mails in case Email Sender Deluxe fails sometimes.
Better software to look for :
Atomic Mail Sender 8.30
Fast Email Sender 5.0.8

Here is a warning - anyone who sends me an automated 'wish' will be deleted from my friends list, and all future communications will go directly to Spam.

Other than that, I'm sure this is a wonderful bit of software.

I wonder, does the recipient have any way of knowing if this is an automated greeting, rather than being personally sent?
