I had no problem installing on Win 8 Pro 64 w/Media Center. None whatsoever. No company could afford to have me lie for them, so no.

If you do not have one of the newest graphics card do not even try this program. Program ended up producing two screens right next to each other and not 3D overlayed video.

Downloaded and installed on Win 7 Ultimate x64. Activated with no problem. In fact my installation was as a 'portable' app and all works fine. I even put my own name in the registration field and it activated fine.

Comments above relate to regular installs. However, my virtual or 'portable' installation works very well. 3D conversions work well. The application is nicely responsive and trouble free. The result is as good as one can hope for (though personally I think this 3D thing is a fad). Thus I give it a good 4.5-stars.

One might ask why I wanted to make a portable version of this. Well, to tell you the truth I would use this software VERY seldom. But, beyond that, I use my computer mainly in a music composition environment and in such I must keep all overhead processes etc to a minimum. The easiest way for me to do this is by virtualizing other applications as much as possible.

Quite honestly, I think it is about time that more developers realize this and provide portable versions of their software. This is the way of the future and some of you will know that this is the key to the success of Apple Computers, where all applications are virtualized (or "sandboxed" if you will) making the success of virus attacks highly unlikely.

You can create avs scripts that play a 2d video with a simulated 3d, without having to do any conversion. I wrote an application that creates the scripts automatically and plays the video in any one of four players; media player classic, windows media player, mplayer and zoom player. Scripts created are for red-cyan anaglyph either way, yellow blue anaglyph either way and side by side either crossed or parallel. You just choose your player and 3d options and view the video in the 3d style of your choice.

Saw the DVD copy pro and wanted to take advantage of the 50% off offer BUT realized Avangate doesn't take paypal. Bummer - the aiseesoft copier has a nice interface and all copy options. But I have set up paypal for these transactions so I am out of luck. The offers are good but us paypal users have no easy way to take advantage of them.

Got this last time it was released. My computer crashed and I lost it. This was one of the programs that I missed. It may not be movie theater quality 3D but it certainly gives a great 3D image for home movie entertainment. It did great on a drifting video I made. Fun Stuff. Thank you.

No offence, but if Christ would have had to say something about this GOTD it would have had a lot more substance than (Ididn't try).
A simple 'thank you GOTD and Aiseesoft' would have sufficed. ;)

With only one download attempt (Windows 8 64bit), upon registering only once, a (!)warning came up reminding me that 'This is a trial version'. I have read the caution in 'read me' warning not to register twice or re-install, and I did not. So am I to ignore this 'trial version notice' and be confident* I have the full version? Or did something happen along the way without my knowledge, that took me to the trial version? (*I have yet to use the program nor will have time to experiment with it today)

Some more information in comparison to other 3D software is to be found here: http://2d-to-3d-converter-reviews.hotsoftreviews.com/
They seem to have done a lot of professional work. Thanks!

And as usual with aiseesoft etc., top secret concerning country, address etc.

With 3D from 2D material it's like pulling yourself out of swamp by pulling at your own hairs.

Excellent freeware for converting different types of true 3D formats to each other: StereoPhoto Maker and StereoMovie Maker from Muttyan's homepage http://www.stereo.jpn.org/, available in English, French, German and Japanese, e.g. for conversion to anaglyphic to be seen on a non 3D TV set whith 1$/1€-spectacles.

The software works well, but the registration procedure is annoying. I installed for all users, and registered the product from the account which I used for installation. The registration worked, but only for one account. To make the program available to other users I had to switch users and register in each account in which I wanted the program to be available.

Umm, first time leaving a comment but here goes. Downloaded fine, used the reg key, it works :) (vista 64bit). I am not a computer "geek" nor am I a TV or film editor but I have converted some 2D black n white and 2D colour vids which I gave the "3D" treatment. I used all kinds of conversions (thank goodness for children who buy 3D glasses at the cinema), with varying results so far. I am not reading any instructions (yup, typical bloke, I hear) but am feeling my way through, which I am finding very easy and more importantly, Fun.
Thanks GAOTD, easy to use and works.

I am using Aiseesoft Total Media Converter Platinum, which is a great video conversion tool. that said, today's giveaway (as well as any 2D to 3D conversion tool) is useless. It does not convert the video too real 3D (for that you have to capture the video originally with a 3D video camera) rather it manipulate the media digitally which leaves you with lower quality non-3D output result.

I've installed every conversion program offered by Aiseesoft offered here in Win7-64bit. As Mountainking mentioned, these programs are my go-to for zero configuration conversions. Never had an issue transcoding. Big fan of the CPU core usage options available.
Thank you AGAIN, Aiseesoft! (and GOTD)

#6: "if i convert a movie with this software can i view it on my laptop with blue and red type celophane glasses or do i need special glasses"

That's called Anaglyph, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaglyph_3D , & yes, Aiseesoft 3D Converter supports it along with Side by Side 3D, and Top and Bottom 3D. Sites like Meritline sell cheap red/blue glasses BTW that are better than the cardboard affairs.

If you have a 3D HDTV it uses glasses specifically for the type of 3D display tech it uses -- that's where you get into the side X side 3D etc. ATI & Nvidia graphics hardware can let you do the same thing using your PC/laptop using special glasses [ http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_3D_VisionKit_us.html ] or a 3D monitor similar to a 3D TV -- from what I've read Nvidia is easier to set up. Google on "3d without glasses" [without quotes] to get a look at where 3D's headed.

A tip to the developer, include some examples of what your software can actually do on your website, such as before/after footage. I'm undecided whether to download at the moment, and it's free, so I certainly wouldn't bother if I had to pay

For comment #6 about required glasses, this is from their web site:

*Support Anaglyph 3D, Side by Side 3D, and Top and Bottom 3D

Anaglyph 3D is the type with the red/blue or red/green lenses, so yes you will be able to use those glasses.

Nice clean interface with all the 3D gizmo options. Aiseesoft products always work good on Win 7 64bit. This is just another of many giveaways from them.

Most of their products are for video/DVD. several have been given away here. They seem a little pricey to me, but there is a 50% off coupon above, so I browsed the site. Noticed you can get the Audio Converter for $10.50 with coupon - nice. It's a good program with a lot of features. I have several audio converters (some from these giveaways), but the Aiseesoft one is definitely my favorite. Check it out on the site.

Thanks Aiseesoft and GaoTD!

Missed Aiseesoft 3D Converter's giveaway last time. Just download it and install easily. I am now using their Blu-ray Ripper from GOTD. It works well. I have some video that I want to watch it on my HDTV with 3D effect. I will try to use Aiseesoft 3D Converter to convert. Can anyone here on GOTD suggest which 3D mode Aiseesoft provide has a better effect on HDTV. Thank you very much.
Thanks GOTD and software vendor also.

Download, register Aiseesoft 3D Converter smoothly on my win 7 desktop.
Checked the settings of the 2D to 3D section. Because I only have 2D videos so I can only use this functions to convert to 3D to have a try.
It provides options for users to choose anaglyph (half and full, monochrome and so on), users can also choose Side by Side 3D, and Top and Bottom 3D according to your needs. You can set the depth of the output 3D video from 1 to 50 and also choose Switch L/R Image (did not try). Users are allowed to choose many normal settings of other video converter, such as resolution, aspect ratio and so on. I have not finished my conversion yet, General speaking it is a nice converter that allows users to change 2D videos to 3D effect. You can directly preview the output effect in the middle of the interface.
just post this comment to thank GOTD and Aiseesoft.
