Provided installer contains a 64bit only ScnRec.exe, and a 32bit copy of GPLv3 FFMPEG.EXE and FFPROBE.EXE There is an update available 12.0.5 that I checked for AFTER activating the giveaway license and I let it install and the giveaway license continues to work... I removed the giveaway license from 12.0.5 and re-applied it and it was accepted by the latest update at time of writing. It uses around 29MBytes in users \appdata\local\ZD Soft\ folders for WebView2 control files no matter where you tell it to install.

It might be worth mentioning it has a scheduler but I have not tested it. It looks limited to one event and I don't know if it will start a stream to recorde unattended
I agree with Mr. Book the Icons are small but it may be a feature not a bug.
I did not see a way to change the Icon size
To add to Mr. Kovel Rowel's comment I stopped using flv format It has mp4 & avi formats available as well but I do not know their quality

I downloaded ZD Screen Recorder 12.0.4 from Giveawayoftheday and tried to install.
I keep getting the same error 'installation directory must be on local hard drive'.
My C drive which it picks by default, is a local hard drive SSD.
I tried different directories, tried the SW from your web site. > keeps giving the same error.
Please HELP before the GAOTD is over.

Have V11.6 for over two years and it work great but will not record TV shows. I can't get this V 12 to install and I'm not going to uninstall V 11.6

I have an earlier version of this. Can I have both versions on my pc or will it over write my old version?

I had a total fail - downloaded but did not open well - ghost screens, and disjointed screens Got a bar menu but it would only record me from my camera, and did not record my screen. Had to uninstall twice. i will try again later today hopefully.

Great output quality in flv format (1:1).

Thanks Giveaway as instant download for this app worked well. Unzipped fast then flawless through installation, with license code already inside readme.txt file. So could use it right away, a big plus. Tested it with several online videos to see how well works and it did simple screen recording without problem when just a Start and Stop. Other features had issues. Annotation while recording did freeze. Some editing features like Marker had unusual stickiness meaning would not close after using it and would not go away unless my recording stopped and app closed. Just to terminate app required hitting more than one X as program ran several operational windows that overlapped recording area, a big minus. Icons tiny and hard to touch with mouse as all close together, including exit X. A useful feature allows my webcam live onscreen on top of recording, to do video atop video. Really like this feature my other oft used recorder Passfab not good at this. I like todays offer for simple start then stop recording with webcam onscreen, though found some other features iffy.

I've tried numerous screen recorders over the years, with mixed results where some have such poor compression or choppy framerates they're unusable. Today's offering is definitely one of the better options; frame-rates seem very good, clarity is great, and it's lightweight and easy to use, being a lifetime license is also excellent.

Definitely a keeper if you're looking for a screen recorder. Thanks for the giveaway.
