The only thing this is good for is hiding porn other than that took me less then 10 minutes to defeat the decryption without using the program lol

Thanks for the laugh though

DB, You can easily move the program from C: \ to another partition. (if there is one)

My advice is never encrypt a file on your computer unless you have a backup copy of it.

Installation went without a hitch, installed as administrator in W10, applied serial code, Done!
Don't understand why others have problems to install, Great software, Thanks.

I'll stick with [Free] VeraCrypt.

The recatcha is getting more crazy than usual. Nothing like a loooong key sequence to copy and past to get rid of commenters.

Question
If a file on a USB-stick was locked by this program and you take that USB-stick to another Windows, also with this program, but different password? Is it still locked?
This because I install this program and locked some files and map's. (sadly only one password can used for all of them.)
After that I rebooted this Windows and therefore I lost the program on purpose.
I could not open the files:

After that I installed the GOTD-program with another main password.
Now all file's could be opened.
Also I used the option "lost password" and after entering the code again, I could set a new password and all files were accessible:

and: https://www.dropbox.com/s/k6h9gbwb86qpta5/NieuwWachtwoord.png
Is there only one method of encryption and the only purpose of the password is to let the program run?

it not efficient enough or at all because you can bypass any locked or hidden folder or file using data recovery software. i used Do Your Data Recovery 6.6

The developer wrote: "Supports fast encryption and decryption of very large files or folders, which is done in an instant."

Now that is impossibility, it means nothing has been done to the file but some parameters at the file heading are changed, no real encryption or decryption has been done but the file is marked as hidden only and access was changed and limited to the password used as user only. Cleaver trick to fool the users.

Sinny, I would use 7-Zip and use the encryption in that. I have a lot more faith in that software and I know you can't break it if the key is modestly long.

No clear if this is lifetime without updates. GAOTD should put that label right after the product description to eliminate all guesswork. I do not see that anywhere here, so I will pass on this one. The last thing I want is to lock something up and not be able to get at it again.

why don't you create a virtual drive (vhd) on your hard drive, use bitlocker to encrypt it, and store confidential files on it? when you have finished the task at hand, right click on the vhd, and eject it.

when you need access again, simply click on the vhd file in the root of and enter the password when prompted.

walt, Not all Windows Versions support BitLocker
Supported operating systems:
Windows 10 - Education, Pro, or Enterprise edition
Windows 8 — Professional or Enterprise edition
Windows 7 — Enterprise or Ultimate edition
But a similar product is the free Safehouse Explorer which also can be used on a flash drive
