As part of system requirements this also requires WINWORD.EXE (Microsoft Word) to perform the actual find of email addresses. If Word crashes at any point during the search for email addresses it is NOT re-launched and no indication in the crash alert box gives any indication of what document file caused the crash so there is no way to know which file to exclude next time if the list of searched documents is long. Maybe the current version (2.5) addresses this bug?

IF it really does require .NET Framework 4.6.1 then it cannot possibly run under XP as 4.5 .NET client was last installable under XP and 4.6.1 was a Vista or above version of .NET framework.

I tried on all my hard disk. Found all my doc, docx and rtf files but cannot find and extract email adresses. il am sure I have some adresses email in some files. Created 3 rtf and docx files and put inside email adresses. Same result: cannot find and extract email adresses. My system windows 10 pro 64bits 21H2 build 19044.1889

detenova, do you have a 32bit edition of word or a 64bit edition or no official MS Word installation and use a 3rd party app? without a 32bit edition of Word being installed no errors are generated but the search just wizzes through the list but produces no results as the search is performed by WINWORD.EXE and the program produces no error when the Word installation is not found.
