I have read all info on this software and i can't find anywhere if it is window 7 compatable. If its not thats ashame because it sound pretty good

I have downloaded this photo recovery software in two forms: the first one thru Software Informer, though since I downloaded on 12/29 told me the software expired; the second one I installed yet when I typed the keycode an invalid message is given. On both of them I ran more than once with the same results, which leaves a serious disappointment to this free giveaway since nothing is working - sorry to mention all of this.

Couldn't post this last night due to Gateway 502 error.
Running xp pro, my screen resolution is set to 1280 x 800. I too am having issues with the product screen not being correct. Product blends into desktop background image, has a "next" button orphaned on lower right. It sort of looks like the product set it's hypertext or buttons to one size screen area, and then set it's own background to a different smaller area size. The product background right side ends at "Help" half of the word "help" and the word Exit to the right are writen on my desktop background image. as it the right side of the paragraph in the center of the start screen. It has been activated correctly. I'll check back later to see if there has been some response to this issue.

Main issue with this, which severely reduces the usefulness, is that it renames all the files it finds. Trawling through each file individually to find one I am after takes forever, especially as it lists ALL FILES on the whole drive, not just the ones that have been deleted.
At least it separates the files into filetype folders. (YES - not just photos are recovered.)
Perhaps an option to select which filetype you are looking for?
Or even which folder they were deleted from (if known)?

We strongly recommend you not to install Photo Recovery to the same partition which being searched. And also, do not save the recoverable photos to the crashed partition. You should install Photo Recovery to another normal partition, and then select the crashed hard disk from its main interface to search and perform recovery. Then you can get the highest quality of recovery.

Display is terrible, UI isn't scaled properly. The buttons were somewhere off on my desktop. And program crashed after spending an hour on a scan. Sorry, but I uninstalled this...and tried Recuva instead (Recuva worked perfectly I might add).

This version is obviously not yet ready for prime time, so since we are the end users who are suffering the ill effects of what is in effect a beta test, we should be given a revised copy when this build is fixed, assuming it is not corrected tonight as now appears highly unlikely. Since we had to give them our email address to get the keycode, it should not be too hard for them to figure out a way to send us a link or otherwise devise a way for us to download and activate a new copy.

I could not complete the activation of the product. I have the keycode, but when I click Activate and enter the code and press OK, it tells me to close the main program window and then click OK to continue, but I don't see any other program open. I was doing this as administrator on Win7Pro x64.

I too am having problems activating this program!!!

I went through the process of getting a registration code, but it will not work. The activation program just sit there doing nothing (Not Responding). I have tried several times (uninstalling and installing the program), but to no avail.

Please correct this problem as I needed to use a program like this one A.S.A.P.

The activation program for Wondershare Photo Recovery will not complete it's task, it just sits there. I let it sit for 1 hour, but to no avail. I went through the process of getting a registration code from their site.

Who can I use a program that I cannot activate?

I have had great success with other programs offered here from Wondershare and others. This is the first time I have met with a problem like this.

Please correct this problem as this was a program I wanted to use A.S.A.P.

A great giveaway for me. I did initially have trouble downloading (getting 502 error on both links) but after several refreshes it worked. No problems with activation on Vista 32. I mimicked a problem I had had (when my computer crashed a few weeks ago)ie moved pictures from my camera SD card & then used this prgramme to recover the deleted pictures on the card. It worked a treat & would have saved me more than the cost of the programme even if I'd purchased it as compared to getting a camera shop to recover the photos after the crash. I am still wating for a reply to the problem as mentioned by many people (32, 33 , 34 and so on) I've tried to use my reg. code a thirty times or more but still no activation because of a failing connection with a server.

First, the UI is messed up. Not sized properly and the buttons display on my wallpaper.

Then, after running the program for an hour to list the files...it crashed.

So I shall uninstall this and play with one of the free alternatives. Perhaps a good concept but flawed terribly in its execution so far.

Program installed fine on xp sp3, and got keycode with no problem, but activation process either returns network error or else it stalls for what seems like forever and then gives a failure/termination notice. If if makes any difference, I cut and pasted the code in when their instructions say to type it (but then they say to enter email there too where no place to do so exists). I don't know if something important has gotten lost in translation or what, but time in running out on getting it activated as both GAOTD and Wondershare have taken great pains to point out, so it sure would be nice if one or both of them would read this and the other comments about this problem and come up with a solution and post it here where all of us can see and use it.

AWESOME!

About a month ago I had a USB hard drive failure, managed to backup about 80% of what was on it before it said "BYE". Scrubbed drive using a "secure deletion" program, then reformatted and got the drive back. Gave up all hope of getting anything else back from the drive (tried all sorts to no avail). D/Loaded, installed, ran it (albeit, not a full scan). Not only did it recover lost photos, but it also recovered lost mp3 files. Amazing! Probably one of the best GAOTD's to date. Many, many thanks. Might even buy it to make sure I've got it permanently.

Installed and activaed on vista home premium 32bit and run as admin.

I would like to restore a half dozen accidentily deleted pics from my FUJI FinePix J150w. Until the last week or so, I have been able to upload pics directly through USB into FinePixViewer but now for some reason the program is not recognizing that the camera is connected and on. While trying to figure this out, I accidentily deleted a few pics and can't upload any new.

I connected my camera through usb port but when I open wondershare the devices only show devices hard disk. Should it show USB? Any idea how I can get this to work?

can't connect for registeration - same for me - all other internet works just fine ......

If you entered your email address on the registration page and the activation process seemed to have stalled, just check your InBox and you will most likely see an email from Wondershare with your registration code.

#5,#23,#29: CCleaner and most similar programs will cheerfully clear unwanted files beyond hope of recovery, either by overwriting specific files or by overwriting all free space after you have deleted the files you want gone. Using CCleaner to find and then clear temporary files, and then overwrite all free space, is a good way to insure that all traces of the unwanted files are gone, although specialized programs such as Eraser reach into a few areas that CCleaner does not yet touch. CCleaner and the others will clear the Recycle Bin on request.

This and other prorams for this purpos can only recover what is there and if that space is needed for another use then the original will be at best dammaged or completely covered over by something else. Most photos most likely would be at least dammaged and lrge files would be in pieces that do not fit together.

These programs can't do miricles so if that is what you want the go to church and pray.

Excellent product. Same old story, Christmas holiday pictures inadvertently deleted were restored! Amusing to see an additional 173 additional photos that I had forgotten (but saved). Easy to use and fast, fast, fast.

Can't we just use "recuva"?
