WinX DVD Ripper GotD license expired after a few days on two different computers (Win7 and WinXP)! Not happy. Anybody else had the same problem? Anybody knows a fix?

Downloaded new link. working okay. Can't remove subtitles even when I pick 'disable'.

Converts at 90 FPS on my computer (high-end) CPU(920 i7), Memory(3GB), Graphics card(1GB) aren't being extensively used. can't speed in up any more, don't know what the limiting factor is. I assume it's the harddrive.

Overall good program.

Obviously,it's before July 10th. I downloaded it yesterday and works well.

I guess they are panic about this issues, so it's natural to the little mistake. But it doesn't matter, I got what I wanted from GOTD and the result is good.

BTW, WinX's action shows apologizing and responsible for GOTD visitors, so don't blame they any more. Everboby probable makes mistakes in his lifetime!

To #38, thanks,
The new download works fine and does not crash anymore, BUT this
thing is SLOOOOW as molasses, it appears to convert in realtime only,
i.e. a two hrs long DVD to AVI (divx) rip takes 2 hrs.
And no it's NOT the computer which is an I7-920, 12gigs memory, Windows7RC 64bit.

To #20
It's beyond me why someone would just plain LIE to get their 15 minutes of fame....

Have a good day,

PnP

#38: Did you mean to put by July 10th because June 10th was like 3 weeks ago. Wouldn't help anyone if that was the case either!!!!

Thanks!

The software installed properly. Not sure how well it works as I have not had the need to test it yet.

It just didn't like me I guess... I wanted to rip Iron Man to and MPEG 4 on my computer so I could watch it on trips without risk of breaking the DVD, it would do one title and then crash.

From then on no matter what DVD I tried it crashed upon me clicking "Go."

Installed easily on XP PRO SP3.

Help and instructions are non-existant. Grammer on menus make you question whether the developer really has a clue as to the steps you should follow.

GUI is confusing and illogical. Very difficult to use. Will have to try again when and if I can figure out how to use it!

Sorry - thumbs down!

XP,Service Pack 3. Installed, Nice simple looking interface. Upon starting the ripping (a DVD) process 3x, software promptly crashed 3x: "WinX_DVD_Ripper.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close".....blah, blah

installed quickly, registered apparently correctly, crashed quicker than most programs start. Have tried my usual 3 times to rip to give it the benefit of the doubt. Didn't work on any of the 3. Core 2 Dell media PC, 2gb mem, uninstalling it. Thanks but no thanks.

Tried to rip a variety of DVDs old and new thinking the newer copy protection was causing the problem, but the same results. After pressing the START button to rip the DVD, the progress dialog pops up for a few seconds, then a Windows message, "WinX DVD Ripper has stopped working." Tried the default output formats, modifed, but nothing changed the experience. (Windows Vista 64)

Thanks for giving me the chance to try it out though.

Nice interface, installed nicely, but kept crashing when converting....Win XP SP3 and Win7 RC1.

Not worth what I paid;0]

Handbrake does a better job, for the same price, just needs improvement in the GUI.

Does anybody knows if this software deinterlace the dvd while ripping?
Because most of dvd rippers don't do this and we always can see in the final video image some black errors!

Installed the program on Windows7 running on a 64bit processor and 4 GB RAM with no problems.
Trying to rip a movie failed nomatter in which compatebility mode I tried. Even ran the program as an administrator but still no luck.

It might be a good idea to do a little more research/testing on different OS/CPU's before releasing a program ;o)

This software is better than most previously offered DVD rippers because it's a lot faster and the ripped files are more compact. For example, using a previous giveaway, Wondershare DVD Ripper, the ripped file took 25 minutes and was 4.3 GB. This time, it only took 15 minutes and the file was compressed to 2.5 GB without any noticeable quality downgrading. This giveaway is definetly worth the download, especially from such a trusted Developer. Previously offered WINX DVD author was of extremely good quality, too.

# 10, and 8 install on your disk and only let the software put a Desktop Icon, not start menu.
This worked well on my machine.
Pentium 4 3000 dual core running Windows XP Pro 64Bit SP2.
Many thanks to GOTD for this issue

THE GOOD:

Smooth, easy, quick download, install, and activation/registration on Vista x32.

Simple, easy-to-navigate, clean user interface.

Clear, easy-to-understand, self-contained, thorough, step-by-step usage instructions on main screen, providing detailed guidance on how to convert DVDs to the various accepted output formats.

Various output options (with multi-level) sub-options include: AVI, MPEG, MP4, WMV, MOV, FLV, VOB, DivX, MP3, AC3, XviD

Audio Options include: Audio Format, Audio Sample Rate, Audio Channel, Audio Quality setting adjustments (per user-chosen specifications)

Video Options include: Video Format, Video Frame Rate, Video Quality, Video Resolution, and High Engine Selection Feature (if desired).

Program processes and functions operate smoothly and efficiently.

Output Profile Options include: Original Size & Keep Aspect Ratio, Custom Size & Keep Aspect Ratio, Custom Size with Custom Aspect Ratio.

Program offers multi-language options for Audio language and Sub-Title language.

Software Developer offers a support e-mail address button that users can click on if they need assistance with the program.

THE BAD:

No Help Menu/File, other than what is on the main screen - but this is a minor issue, given that the step-by-step instructions on the main screen are thorough and fairly complete.

Output file is automatically listed as C:\OutputFolder - but you do have the option of Browsing to select your preferred output folder. To the software developer, IMHO, it would be muc more convenient if the Output Folder were set to the software user's default computer output folder (if possible) - but again this is a minor issue.

SUMMARY:

All in all, I give today's GiveAway a two-thumbs-up. Thanks much, GOTD & Digiarty Software, for a wonderful, useful program.

WinX DVD Ripper coverts DVD to other formats, just reverse of earlier GAOD WinX DVD Author (that converts other formats to DVD). Hassle free installation on Windows XP SP2. No specific registration required, but has to be installed before give away offer. Easy to use and definitely a keeper though many other alternatives available.

Downloaded and installed fine. Interface looks good but when I tried to convert a video it crashes. OS is Vista Home Basic 32 SP2. Tried running as administrator but still crashes. Then tried running as administrator and compatability set to WinXP SP2 but still crashes. At this point I'm giving up.
