#16 (Gareth), we've made a lot of tests and it worked well here. But we'll certainly make more tests on the "adding external *.srt subtitle" feature. If you can email to our support team (support@winxdvd.com) with your detailed problems (such as OS, screen shot, etc), it would be much appreciated.

#21 (Bruce Coxon),we feel sorry for the trouble. But WinX YouTube Downloader itself is absolutely clean and safe. We tested it just now. It is because you need to download CNET Installer first. Please choose "Custom Installation" instead of the default one. Otherwise, CNET Installer will force you to download third-party toolbar. :(

Alternatively, you can download WinX YouTube Downloader from our local sever. Here it goes: http://www.winxdvd.com/youtube-downloader/

I need help. I have seen that converted movies (DVD to other formats) downloaded from torrent sites are highly compressed while having NO loss of visual and audio quality or crispiness. This is something I have found in NONE of the giveaways here. Anyone here knows here what software could the uploaders be using to accomplish this - meaning compressing a DVD quality movie into a CD quality movie while RETAINING near-original-like quality in a SINGLE file? Thanks.

.....the edit function did NOT work or even show the video to edit in its window, just a rotating lined circle busy symbol!

GAOTD: I haven't thanked you in a while for all your amazing free software and games. We DO really appreciate all of your hard work and we also appreciate all of the software developers who so kindly share their ware for a day. Many days, you are the best thing that happens all day. Love you!

@17(Mike Richman)

Same goes for Mozilla Firefox. I also had to use IE.

There are some odd naming conventions for the profiles such as Android Mobile Video as well as Android Pad Video, which is news to me I have to confess.

I'm not really sure why every Android device has to have it's own profile in any software really.

All my devices will just play plain video in a host of formats without any need for customisation or need for conversion.

I wonder about the balance between time spent carrying out so much conversion, against just popping something onto an SD card, which once watched is often replaced for a while with something else, so unless you have a rather larger video collection and want to carry as much of it around as possible, then this kind of thing tends to be a little gimmicky.

It's conversion rates are not that fast either, so don't seem, from what I can see, support Nvidia or AMD video card processing and for the money I would expect to see that.

There are too many fragmented products on their site and I would rather see fewer of them with more logically combined functions.

I think that they would also make more money that way than creating so many cross over products that it can put off a purchaser when they can either see what they are doing or even seems too complicated to choose the right solution for them.

Conversion quality was good from the tests that I did make but I just found it too time consuming to make me want to really bother for any advantages that it does have.

I didn't quite take @1 the same way as you have; I think he/she was trying to be funny and yet encourage others to partake of the freebie today. After all, the reason companies give us free software is for us to use it, fall in love with it, and then buy it one day! The more people that participate, the more coverage the company feels it's getting. This is a good thing for them and us.

As for the "pitch" of saving money on another good program, you can "pitch" to me 'til the sun goes down and up again! Do you guys walk past a 50% off sign in a window and just walk off disgusted because that store is trying to "pitch" to you? If you do, you're either rich or crazy. I'm neither. If you don't want it, don't buy it, but please don't discourage companies from desiring to give us sale prices on other software. It's not very nice.

The mobile converter installed OK, but I would warn you not to install the WinX YouTube downloader offered for free at the License code site, as it installs a SweetPacks Toolbar and makes Bing your default search engine, even when the box is unchecked during the YouTube installation.
These are very resilient unwanted insertions and take a lot of effort to get rid of them.

Their web site states that this will output for the Xoom (Motorola). I installed it and there is NO output option for the Xoom. Not happy about the deception.

To prevent losing this software through automatic updates (which reminds me of Aiseesoft and some other developers) go to "Option" (sic! singular), and where it says "Always": change it to: "Never".

Cheers,

Bob

I really wonder why Giovanni always complain in his daily comments about the cost of every offer in GOTD disregarding the fact that the software is FREE during the day of offer! Its really disgusting to see everyday his monotonous whining about the cost in his every post. Why can't he stop whining and be somewhat a bit nice to the offer, to the developer and to GOTD????

There are many simular video converters but if its fast as it claims to be then it might be worth trying.
Has any one that has tried it noticed the speed at which a video is converted?

Installed without problems.

Converted some videos with "use high quality engine" checked.

Seems to work faster than the previous GOATD "Aiseesoft Media Converter Ultimate" with the same quality result. The Interface is clearer, enough options ...

The claimed "200 built-in profiles" are a joke (as always), they are a few options under different names for each manufacturer, but who cares. It's marketing.

Will stay on my Win8-64 Bit machine. Recommended as a free gift.

#2 Giovanni [dude] They are not asking us 50 bucks for this. There is a clue in this site's name. I get fed up of comments from people who have never tried the software but just post to moan about the price. I've installed this and find it works well *and* I have a need for it, owning (and using) two Tablets, Galaxy Samsung Note 10" and Google Nexus 7. This software is ideal for my needs and I thank both Giveawayoftheday and Digiarty.
