Useless software for future because activation code does not support future software upgrade. For that you have to buy full version.

Well a good company so I thought this was a good deal until they ruined it by forcing us to view their upgrade notice via forced daily update checks Bye bye

Uninstalled just like any adware should be

Thanks for this - after a reinstall of the system I lost everything. Tried a couple of youtube downloads and found it easy and liked the way you can choose the quality.

I dislike the way the program keeps trying to connect to Google. I've bocked in on my firewall, but that's a work-around, not a fix.

I also can't seem to find where to enter the reg code, but I'll keep looking. It's probably hiding in plain sight.

Reply   |   Comment by David  –  9 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

Hi, there is a button named Register in the UI. Just click it, you can enter the reg code, then hit Activate button to activate the code.

Usually I'm wary of any software with the word "Deluxe, Premium, Platinum, Ultimate, Extreme, or Gold" in its name. Because that makes me suspect its crappy software and the vendor is trying too hard to sell it. That is not the case with WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe.

I've tested at least ten different video converter programs and this is one of the better ones.
The interface is clean, simple, and intuitive. The list of video formats is well organized and easy to use. The conversion speed is good and the quality is good. I also appreciate the "auto shutdown" when conversion is complete feature.

It installed flawlessly on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (see what i mean about "ultimate" being a red flag?) The Software registered easily as well.

I used a 100Mg AVI video file to test it by converting to MPEG2 (VOB Video Object) and FLV formats.
Both tests concluded quickly with good quality.

Good Job and Thanks Digiarty Software.

Last but not least, thanks to all the users who take the time to post a comment including Giovani and Karl. Your feedback has been invaluable in helping me choose which software to install and avoid installing software that would be a waste of my time. You guys and gals rock.

Alternatives and viewpoint after hours of testing:

For downloading videos Free:
Clibgrab.org - THE FASTEST BY FAR, NO STARTUP TIME, FAST DOWNLOADS from many major sites. Use this first if you just want a copy on your hd with some options.
Freemake Video Downloader (NOT THE CONVERTER which doesnt work the same) MUCH slower, but gives a nice menu of various formats/resolutions you can choose in a easy menu. For most people this is a great free second choice when you need more options/formats.
This program: MUCH slower, but for power users. After analyzing, it pops up an ugly but much more option menu for nearly all resolutions/formats you can download & convert. I was able for example to download in webm and upconvert it from this menu.

For video converters:
Freemake Video Converter (NOT DOWNLOADER): Very user friendly interface. Select at the bottom what you want to watch on (Iphone, TV, Xbox, To Youtube etc) and does a good quality conversion. Good for basic usage when not very experienced.
Many alternatives to try free:http://pcsupport.about.com/od/tipstricks/tp/file_converter.htm
This program: Power Users. Not very user friendly menus but much more capability. Click edit prior to run and you can do basic edit like trim the video before conversion. Can convert to make ready for uploading to most web sites like youtube or vimeo, adjust the quality and speed of each conversion. Conversion quality is excellent on higher quality. If you are a regular video converter or uploader to web sites, check it out, very powerful.

I'm running Bitdefender IS 2015 with Intrusion Detection set at Medium. When I try to run WinX HD Video Converter Setup.exe, Bitdefender Intrusion Detection blocks Setup and says it is potentially malicious. Does anybody know, is it malicious?

Installed and registered without any difficulty, on opening a simple interface.

Converted a number of videos rapidly into high quality.

Unfortunately, the preview window would only play the audio in either the main or the edit window.

Attempted to load images but all I got was a divide by zero error message.

It claims to be able to download BBC programmes but I had no success. Did it work for anyone?

A shame as WinX programs are normally pretty good.

I had problems with the last version 5.5.3 where the rename function did not always work when downloading a video. The text in the dialogue would show the proposed new name but when the file was download the file name remained unchanged. As I say, this happened quite a lot of times. I emailed Digiarty who promised to look into the problem and take the necessary steps to rectify it at the next update. I was to be emailed if changes were made. I have not been emailed since, and there is no reference to "renaming problems" in their changelog.

Has anyone else had similar problems? There were also occasions when the app steadfastly refused to download a video. Of course, this may have been down to factors outwith Digiarty's control although other sources had no problem downloading the video.

I've never quite understood the appeal of WinX products over the competition because whenever I have tested them I have found the conversion to be inferior to many others and again, with this one, sadly replicated.

Looking at the specs, whilst it has multi cpu support, there is almost nothing with regards to GPU acceleration aside from AMD 3DNow, which was retired back in 2010.

So for a 2015 product is does appear not to be keeping up with the times to allow a truly fast transcoding speed.

In the supported output formats, it also states Chromecast and unless I am incorrect, there is no such format.

Thank you for this nice converter which I am now upgrading from the last time it was offered here. I've been very happy with the results from this program as it works well but might I suggest you add to the interface so that it shows the output size. I recently switched to a converter that not only makes the file smaller while maintaining quality but also one that shows me the size of the converted file PRIOR to converting it. Since I am specifically trying to stay under a certain size this feature is a must. If you can add that I think you'll get a LOT more happy customers. The app I now use also allows editing and watermark additions and some other useful features and it is also free. I guess I should be emailing this to the developer but since the first post is from the company offering this software I'm assuming they pay attention to this page which is always nice to see!
Model things after this program iWisoft Free Video Converter (http://www.iwisoft.com/videoconverter/) and you'd have about the best converter out there as far as I am concerned. Thank you again for a great product...now please make it better so I am possibly others can return to using it rather than alternatives. (Handbrake also is great but iWisoft is rather amazingly capable).
Thank you!

A humble Dual-boot here! After many hundreds of tests with this converter & their DVD Ripper & their stellar customer service - This company is what MOST other companies wish they were. I installed today's offering & it seamlessly picked up my ser # & all my settings. The non-size changing screen may be a problem with some (I have poor eye-sight and so I use a larger monitor when dealing with unforgiving types of programs. That is my only critique of this give-away, I have done many & to date only 4 were not able convert. Keep it up - C U tomorrow - Thanks to Digitary & GOTD for today's offering. HAGD

Hello, ok going to try to leave this comment. Installed on a Win 10 64bit machine and registered just fine. After installation I decided to try a youtube video and like Karl was able to see the different resolutions that were available to download, To do this you have to chose a video that offers them not all youtube videos do. When I went to download my system froze up, but I was able to recover I restarted my system and tried again, unsuccessful on the download. I will keep it installed as hopefully the Authors will revisit the page and maybe offer some insight, if not then I will uninstall via Revo.

I purchased today's give away BUT I am unclear - When I buy your program & I bought the DVD Ripper program & the Video converter at the same time & I was just a couple of weeks ago. When I try to "UPDATE" it says I must "UPGRADE" and PAY for the program all over. Is this how you do business? I really believe clients, customers BUT MOST OF ALL - FUTURE customers might want to know what they are getting into, BEFORE they get into it!

I've been using this for quite some time with very good results. I currently have ver 5.5 installed. I upgraded to v.5.6 and kept getting BSOD. I reverted back to 5.5 and have no problems.
This happened 2 times, so for now I'm staying with 5.5. I'm running win 8.1, quad core 2.9ghz
with 16gig ram. (problem can't be from weak hardware) I still give this program thumbs up.

I have WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe which was given away previously. Weird though, I couldn't find the version number written anywhere in the menu system, so I'm not sure if I have the same version as today or an earlier version.

I had a chance to use it several times and always had fast and reliable results. I have no complaints abaout that.

However though, this software changes some attributes of the video file, so that the video name is always displayed as "WinX Video Converter - my movie", regardless of the player. And I just couldn't find a way to erase that WinX phrase. This is inconvenient for me for various reasons so I stopped using the software. If you don't mind about that stamp though, as I said earlier, this is a reliable converter.

To find out what version you have, go to Program Files>Digiarty>WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe, hover with your mouse over WinX_HD_Video_Converter_Deluxe, and this should show you its version. That's what I did, and it worked for me. Hopefully it will work for you, too.

Cheers,

This time my comment will be a little bit different. At the end you'll understand it. LOL

I installed the software, wrote a little bit about the installation, about the company, the previous version.
The I checked the options, the change of the language is under the question mark, made a screenshot and tested the new features, which concentrates on downloading from online sites.

I searched a YouTube video, pushed the "analyze" button and the program came back with available resolutions. I made another screenshot, showing, how this worked. Some words about that. So my comment became longer and longer.

Then I pushed the download button and...
The system freezes. Had to reboot with the power off switch. Whole comment lost, the screenshot and the installation, too.
Don't want to install it the second time and to repeat everything.
I hope you'll understand it? Maybe you have more success.

No new uninstall, the program uninstalled itself via reboot.
Have a nice weekend.

Guten Morgen, Karl :-)

Nobody takes your daily reviews for granted - we're just happy, when somebody takes their time to actually test the soft and share their opinion. I just got a new notebook, and of course, I want a reliable and advanced converter. There was a giveaway of WonderFox DVD Video Converter yesterday, and I grabbed it. However, it would be a great help, if someone, who knows the converters by practice, would drop a few words. I simply don't know which one to choose.

Anyway, thanks a lot to, Digiarty, for the generous offer.....and the team behind GAOTD. If I can't find a giveaway for converters, there is a reliable freeware alternative, I'll recommend. At least, you can take a look and decide for your self. A nice weekend for all of you from a sunny Denmark.

Freemake's converter have the same download features as their video downloader. You can choose to install a browser plug in to oprate from. It cnverts the video, while it's downloading. Not that bad for a freeware solution, I think.

I downloaded the 5kPlayer and it seems to want to make itself the default media player. I don't seem to be able to find a way to make it stop changing the default. Is that possible. If not it's a deal breaker.

1) While the web site says you will be re-directed to Softonic to download the 5kPlayer software, it didn't for me - it just downloaded the file. No noticeable bundled AdWare.

2) Be very careful about installing the 5kPlayer software just to test it out; it steals all video filetype extensions, and does not restore them when you uninstall it - they are left un-associated with anything.

Reply   |   Comment by RODNEY COPELAND  –  9 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+9)

I got tired of waiting for a response to my comment and deleted 5kplayer. And RODNEY was indeed correct, it automatically made itself the default player for all media (at least mp4, avi and mkv that I tested). And despite the fact that it's gone, it continues to try and make itself the default player. I'll probably have to reboot to get rid of this problem.

In the past Digiarty didn't seem to do this. Now I'll have to be more careful when deciding about their software.
