I got the serial number and all else seemed to work as expected. Yet when I attempt to login using the email address as my username and the serial number as the password, as per the readme file instructions, I get the error message that one or the other is invalid. Please help me!

Not in the least bit intuitive. Runs out of instructions and just sits there. The engineers should give instructions to someone who can translate into English.

Is it safe to assume that it is activated if I never saw any place to put the license key in to register it?

nstoll, I did this. I have the code|License Key: KE-YKEYKEYK-EYKEYK
WHERE DOES IT GO? When I opened the program after downloading it I never saw any place to enter the key. SO AGAIN, is it safe to assume that it is activated if I never saw any place to put the license key in to register it?

"1. Download this program from GOTD.
2. Go to Digiarty official giveaway page: https://www.winxdvd.com/giveaway/gotd.htm
3. Click "Get Giveaway Version" button to obtain license code. "

A friend shipped me some anime DVD recently. And this DVD copy tool indeed saved my concern of damaging the DVD discs. I copied my DVD to single MPEG2 file. Did not notice video quality loss in the MPEG2 file. As for the speed, WinX DVD Copy Pro did not let me down. FAST.

Fortunately installed and activated without any problem in my machine.
Launched the program instantly and the interface is very neat and well-organized. For testing inserted an old commercial DVD purchased in 2011. For testing the whole process of DVD to DVD copy costs less than 8 minutes, while the result quality looks pretty good for playback.
This program satisfies my DVD backup needs so far. FWIW, I'll keep using it.

M. H., although it was there well before your comment, it can be easy to overlook, especially if it's a new program to others who never heard of it. I also had v3.7.0 and was pleased to read what was new in this version. Usually I have to hunt the developer's website to find out ;-)

Followed instructions in the readme file. Received a popup from GOTD informing me the software had been activated. Win X is nowhere to be found on my computer. I did however, show a fresh install of Software Informer, which I promptly uninstalled.

Reply   |   Comment by Robert  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-7)

Robert, first of all, GotD always shows an 'Activate' popup -- whether or not the software has actually been activated! I always ignore and exit that popup, automatically.

As for a fresh install of Software Informer on your system: this is because you clicked on the Install/Update link on the left (I don't remember the exact verbiage) instead of clicking on the Finish/Close link on the right (again, I don't remember the exact word). A Software Informer box almost always pop ups after installing a GotD program. Make sure you click on Finish/Close only.

Once WinX DVD Copy Pro has been installed, you should see a shortcut on your desktop (if you chose that option).

Reply   |   Comment by Suze  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

Suze, OK! I tried again. Still does not install. Clicked out of the popup like you said, got redirected to GOTD page that said WinX has been activated. Went to the desktop, no shortcut. Checked Program files, no WinX installed. I've installed many programs from GOTD in the past without a hitch. I am not a newbie at this. Also, I again had to uninstall 3rd party software that installed when I was trying to install WinX.

Reply   |   Comment by Robert  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Robert, I'm sorry to hear that you were still unable to install WinX. It seems that many folks have had issues with either downloading, or installing, GotD programs ever since the .gcd wrapper became a requirement.

I hope this is the last time a GotD program gives you problems.

I read the instructions on the downloaded "readme.txt" file (needed to read them carefully!) and followed them, and everything worked first time for installation and free registration (Windows 10 64bit machine). Thank you!

It is necessary to be careful to click on the download link for this program and not the many other "download now!" buttons that appear on the screen, starting just under the title, that appear to be for the Giveaway of the Day but are actually for other programs. I don't know if this is a "feature" of GAOTD or of my browser (Chrome). Many people must be misled into installing programs that they don't actually want. If GAOTD can prevent these pop-ups, that would be great.

I got this and the previous version in order to make dvds that were region free from dvds that were region 2. Neither version strips region code, even though both say they do. Lovely program, but even with the 'Remove Region Code" box checked, all the disks come out as Region 2 only.

Am I doing something wrong, or is the 'feature' not really a feature?

HUGE Thanks for this great offer, GOTD Team and Digiarty!
We recently moved to a rural area and the only ISP available has a data cap of 20GB a month. Just shoot me know as we are very plugged Empty Nesters with online classes, SmartThings, Amazon Echo, Netflix, numerous purchased movies and TV series on Amazon Prime Streaming etc. Meanwhile, our DVD collection was relegated to a storage box and some of the movies are unreadable on our newish DVD player.
We have said good-bye to Netflix and were thinking about buying new copies of the DVDs and then this was offered today!
My husband immediately said that we just need to buy the lifetime license.
Thanks, GOTD Team for all your hard work!
Thanks, Digiarty for offering this as a GOTD. You just made another sale! :-)

Completely unable to get the "download by email" link to work.
Tried 8 different browsers. No difference. Nothing works.

TEXT on site:
"Alternatively you can get a personal download link via email"

Press> "Get the link" & nothing happens.

Also tried turning off all antivirus still nothing.
This has happened on other occasions before.
Sadly, I just gave up.

Maybe it will help to clean your Windows with Ccleaner.

I was enjoying the integrated DVD burning solution that Windows 7 offers, however, this benefit no longer available after I upgraded to Windows 10. This giveaway offered by GOTD and WinX is really in time as I'm expecting to find a free yet robust program to handle my DVD collections.
I installed the giveaway copy and got stunned that there're really 9 copy modes are available, giving me flexible control over my DVD discs, even if they are more or less scratched. I am happy to catch this giveaway, get great and useful stuff here. :)

Hi GAOTD Team,

Once again the installer goes straight to "Product activated" but does not install the product. This is NOT a problem with my antivirus. This is a repeat of the problem I had with Ant Download manager where no solution was found to resolve it. I recently installed Ashampoo Snap 8 since without issue, but this download once again doesn't seem to want to install. I'm a technician by trade and I run a corporate network for a living so I do have some idea of what I'm doing. Could you mail me a link to the exe perhaps to bypass the installer?
I'ma big fan of GAOTD so this is a source of frustration, mostly because I can't figure it out myself :)

Reply   |   Comment by Chris  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+4)

Dear Chris,
The following workaround should olve the problem:

1) disable the anti-virus suite and restart the computer. You need to disable all the anti-virus systems if you have more than one installed. Make sure it won't start automatically upon the system boot.

2) download the program archive once again and extract the contents to a dedicated folder

3) Carefully follow the installation instructions in the readme.txt file.

There should be no problems with the installation. Make sure you switch your anti-virus back on after the installation. Please mind that all the files are checked for viruses beforehand, so you may rest assured, the installation is 100% safe.

Giveaway of the Day,

This is not a reply to the foregoing message but it was the only way I could reach you with my query.

I just noticed a Giveaway notice in my mailbox from some time ago about a photo enhancement program that enables the user to sharpen fuzzy images. I don't recall its name but I think it would be useful to me for my desktop slideshow (10,000 photos, mostly of mountains and other spectacular landscapes). I'm really sorry I missed it. I know it is no longer available as a giveaway but I thought you might be able to direct me to the site where I can find it. I would greatly appreciate your doing so if you can.

sam, Do you open the package with windows itself? in that case, remember this is a zip package, you have to extract the setup.exe and setup.gcd first to (for example) your desktop else indeed only the "activation" pop up will work. also if you use another zip utility (7zip, winzip, winrar etc) first extract the files before running the exe

Winx’s product is very great to make backup copies of the Disney DVDs we have for our niece. My current code is also from gotd giveaway :) I tried with a regular 120min DVD to Verbatim DVD+R DL recordable Disc I purchased on Amazon, the output DVD plays just like the original one. Thanks gotd to run the giveaway again, but I do want to have a lifetime free upgrade. Is there anybody already get winx dvd copy pro lifetime license? @Digiarty, please count me in the contest.
