What is wrong with Companies? Surely they offer their software FOC for publicity and the hope that when the licence expires you will upgrade to the paid version or latest update. So why do they consistently fail to send the licence key, even after 7 days and 3 emails to their support department. Come on GOTD, you need to read the comments where people are saying the same thing and chase these companies to get their act together. And NO, their emails have not gone into my Junk or Spam.

I have my key for VSDC editor pro.

I've used the free version for about six months now and love it. Found the software to be a lot easier to use than a lot of the other "free" ones around, and the output to be better quality than those ones.

Read Readme file. Downloaded, installed, and activated with no problems. Looks promising but have not tried. Just looking to do quick edits. *Window 7 64 Bit

Pretty slick program! I can see I'm going to have a pretty steep learning curve, but the tutorials are very nice. I have also used video pad, but the current offering may have more features. We'll see as I become more familiar with it. I think there would have been fewer negative comments had the download process been more simple.

Can I still activate the program tomorrow? I mean I've been waiting a while for the key and it is getting late. I've an early day tomorrow and probably wont get back to this till evening. If not then thanks anyway.

Have been monitoring this editor since a few years back, even though the price is decent, you get what you pay for. The really only superhot feature that used to make this video editor stand out initially, was the included online video downloader, which was a unique option for a video editor, but these developers could not get the simple online downloader to ever really work correctly, so they just removed it.
Installed on my WIN 10 PC 16GB RAM pc, This program has been improved some, but still not as user friendly as similar, much better editors used.
Still somewhat a mediocre video editor missing many options, finally can import MP3 format like other editors, but video Audio sound hiss and feedback removal still lacking options, and sounds terrible.
Tested the video auto color effects, but made video color even worse.
Still No video and audio smooth blending or crossfade. Still lacking many video and audio enhancement options as previous versions, but at least their support normally responds timely.

Crashes and dies on Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit

How long does it take to get the email? It's been over 2 hours! This is a ridiculous system we have to go through!

After successful install and reboot, I get message box saying that I have a folder in C:\Program Files called "Program" which might be a problem. It further suggests that I rename the folder "Program1" which I have done. Still every time I reboot after having used the program the same message box pops up, prompting me to rename it "Program 2," etc., even though I have checked a box which says not to notify me of this again. This folder contains .p7d files. What is it for and how do I stop the message box pop ups?

As an aside, the Free Video Recorder that gets installed will only record on the system's primary monitor. I have four monitors on my stsem and would want to be ab;e to record from any one of them.

By the way, when submitting comments, today I keep getting the warning "Cannot contact reCAPTCHA ... Check your connection and try again." There's nothing wrong with my connection, it's running at 100 Mbps, so the reCAPTCHA service must be overloaded. Perhaps you should use a dofferent service?

Regarding installation, if it's necessary to use "Run as Administrator" to luunch the Setup.exe installer then:
(a) The Readme.txt should stipulate this; and
(b) Why not set the "Run as Administrator" property in the installer Setup.exe program itself?

As it's past midnight here in the UK & time for sleep, looks like I'm left with the 'free version'. Poor show.

I am using a free version of this from FlashIntegro website for 6 months and it is excellent for my needs which is mostly adding text, credits and subtitles to videos. Free version does not have hardware acceleration when exporting projects to common file formats so export is rather slow. I hope this version has hardware acceleration supported.

Been waiting all day for email. Still not arrived

My problem with this install is that the setup will install a malware: itdownload.dll and, according to Google, it's considered to be a "dangerous" malware. Fortunately, my Malware Hunter detected it, so the install went on okay without installing that malware.

One more thing: it will install (yet another) Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package. If only the programmer could have added a check box either to install it or not, or better, to make sure the setup checks "beforehand" if the package is already installed, and if it's older than the setup files.

Installed on Win7 Ultimate SP1 x64, the editor running smoothly without error, the activation key arrive at my E-mail inbox in 1-2 minutes, so far not encountering any problem

the screen capture program make a videos that run like a frame skipping at 2x normal speed with audio that running with 1x normal speed which make it not synced, unusable for me but it might be my hardware setup

Meanwhile the editor doing good job but kinda confusing for me to use and try to find "Help" but only "Video Converter" help file is exist, and the "Help" button is nowhere to be found or it so well hidden, until my finger press F1 button accidentally because of habit and it open Online Help.

i hope that Dev make a complete offline/downloadable help for using this Software because my internet not always available.

Installed very quickly, with no issues. Received the registration code within 25 minutes. Activated, again, with no issues. I have opened the program but have not actually used it. Where does the " license key" you receive in the email go? My "activation" buttons are inactive everywhere I see them, and I don't seem to have a separate option to enter the licence key...

The lifetime license is compelling. Does anyone know or have an opinion about how this editor ranks with Windows Movie Maker, which I already have.

Although the program doesn't come with any updates or technical support, it looks like there is a good database of instructional material, including video, to help with the learning curve.

Why have I not received a registration number? I've downloaded and installed the program and now have VSDC free version on my system. I've followed all instructions to get the registration code to upgrade the installed program from free version to pro version, but no registration number has arrived in my inbox. What's the problem?

Downloaded and installed on i7 Win 8.1 laptop. Selected install to D: drive (rather than my C: SSD), during install I chose not to associate file types as it doesn't indicate which file types it will own. I also opt'd not to have a desktop icon created. When install completed, I could not find a program menu entry for the program, nor could I find a program folder for it on either drive. However rerunning setup.exe prompted me to first uninstall the program, so I took it up on the offer and cut my loses.

I have version 5.5.0.601, and am wondering what this new version has over my older one.

Do I need a license/code for the free lifetime service that I get here? If so, where do I get one?

Confused by activation process.

Help. Having got the pro license key. I clicked on the activation tab. There was no obvious place to enter a license so I clicked on the about button. The activate button in this pop up was greyed out and unusable. Looking at the title line near the top it said among other things "pro edition" and registered to Give away of the day. On reading other posts I noticed one that said to register you need to run it as an administrator so I did so and was then able to enter the registration but it did not seem to register. So I shut it then re ran it as administrator and once again it opens with the activation button greyed out and the title line near the top saying among other things "pro edition" and registered to Give away of the day. So it looks the same as it did before I activated can anyone tell me what the pro edition has that the free one doesn't so I can find out if I have registered it or not.

I followed the directions given here for setup & it's registered the Pro version through GOTD. So, every time I start the program I'm required to open with Administrator Privileges or it reverts to the free version? Is there a setting to always start program as Administrator? Very confusing setup

To anybody having problems getting the "Pro" version: I ran setup using Admin privileges and when I re-started the software I used Admin privileges. However, I always got the "FREE" version despite entering the serial number. I twigged after 3 re-installs produced the same result. At the end of the set up you will be asked to launch VSDC - do not click on this button. Exit the setup and then open the software using Admin privileges then enter the serial number. That means you need to use Admin privileges 3 times to get the Pro version.

Installed but then saw it was not a TRUE free version but a one year licence.

Downloaded twice and tried to install but every time the installation doesn't go on and there is always a message saying
"A required privilege is not held by the client"

I fail to see on the website if the licence is for 1 year or for lifetime.
I purchased a licence when VSDC first started charging thinking it was a lifetime licence but 12 months later they sent a bill for another payment,. I had even sent a donation to them before they started charging.
So I do not use it now but have gone to Cyberlink Powerdirector which I find easier to use...

I already own this software. It's stunning, and great value for money. Adding cool effects is a breeze.
