I have to say this program is very good and not too hard for me to use. We have to be thankful that this company is giving a lifetime license away yes there is free software but how long will it last everyone has to make money somehow to live. I think $19.99 is a very fair price if you compare this to other companies charging from $50 to $100 or even more for the same thing or in some cases even worse software.

In 2010 I needed some software and as I do I email companies if I don't know them to see if they respond. The person did and sounded great paid close to $150 for the software. Within a year he had closed his company that made the software opened a new one under a different name and a lot of people got burned just like Slysoft AnyDVD sold lifetime licenses to people then changed to Redfox.

My point is when you find a good company like VSDC stick with them and support them.

Possibly not the easiest of video editors to use at first, certainly not if you're previously only used to Windows Movie Maker, but largely because it can do so much compared and there's plenty of tutorials available. The addition of unexpected features like screen capture, chromakey, and image stabilizer make it all the more attractive. I've had the free version for some time and jumped at the chance to upgrade to pro.

The one disappointment would be the low number of transitions offered, though the ones available are the more useful and professional looking.

A definite must have if you're looking for a decent video editor.

This program has lots of features which i haven't explored yet, i'm currently using it for simple slideshow creation with effects and transitions for image and music and it's doing the job well enough for me (i usually used to utilize Windows Movie Maker but it's kinda too simple sometimes), definitely a keeper, imo. The only downside is, that exporting projects can take quite some time, depending on what you select. Almost missed it, since i always overlook the competition part on the GOTD frontpage. So thanks for the offer to GOTD and Flash-Integro.

I received my activation code via email associated with my fb accnt., you have to follow both links to gain +10points each. By visiting their website, and sharing it thru fb post. I've had my free version before, now i have the pro. Thanks as always, GAOTD team and VSDC for this offer. Been waiting for this long time. :)

Activation greyed out and so like others I was assuming it might already be "activated" BUT I did find an activation.exe in the program folder and when I double clicked on that I was able actually to enter my activation key.
AFTER that the PRO replaced the FREE on the main screen. My second PC was able to activate using the normal program button so may just be an internal issue depending on your pc's hardware. Hope this helps you!

The GiveAwayOfTheDay description says "License provided is lifetime". Does that mean that future VSDC Pro version release upgrades will use this license or is this license only good for version 6.3.3?

I have used VSDC for several years. It is my favorite video editor due to its many capabilities. I have not taken recent updates because the license only for one year. I am taking this one because it is a lifetime license. Thanks for that opportunity.

Would love to try VSDC out, but I don't use Facebook, and don't plan to. If GAOTD is going to host something like this they should require the software vendor offer an alternate method of obtaining it other than social media such as FB, which many don't participate in.
