Thanks for this offer but i am already using XYplorer 17.50.
I don't like programs that require Dotnet Frameworks.
Check out the file size 70- MB , that quite a lot just for a xplorer.
XYporer is hardly 5 MB and way too advanced then this: i guess.

I think Total Commander (Ghisler) is much better as a file manager.
The plug ins make it far more powerful.
The user interface is very good and easy to learn.

What a croc.... Installed it, tried to run it, and sat waiting for 10 minutes for something to appear onscreen, and nothing!
Task manager showed it was running, but nothing actually on screen. And as for the amount of hoops you have to jump through if you want the unlimited licence? No thank you.Uninstalled it, going back to Explorer. Explorer++ does everything I need, and it always free.
Latest version of Windows 10 64bit is my O/S

Hello everyone,
Thank GOTD and Sanwhole for this giveaway! This program seems to be good. Is it similar to some popular software such as PowerDesk Pro, Xplorer, Total Commander, MatirSoft FolderViewer or oMega Commander? I don't really understand the functions of this software. Hope someone can help! Thanks!

The software isn't bad so I checked into the "lifetime for free" option and it destroyed my trust completely.

Sure, I'm going to upload my picture id to a Chinese company that communicates in broken English. I'm also going to drive bamboo shoots under my fingernails.

Uninstalled.

I've tried looking at the home page but the English is so poor that I can't make sense of it. For example, what does "scene reproduce feature" mean?

When installing, .net 3.5 is required. After installing .net 4.0 still requires .net 3.5 and refuses to install.

Won't install. Keeps asking for dotnet framework to be installed. It already is installed. What's going on?

I'm having trouble getting the licence to 'take'. I select the licence test file but the 'Renew Code Manager' is greyed out so nothing happens.

Download and installation went smoothly on Windows 10 latest build x64. Activating was no problem. The program itself leaves a great deal to be desired. First, it is a large program which uses a substantial amount of memory...158mb compared with 19mb for Xplorer2. It required 5 seconds to load. The user interface is straight out of Vista Longhorn. Accessing folders on the local pc was smooth and prompt. Accessing network locations or external drives was clunky and slow. The experience of resizing the window was incredibly slow. Also, once you select the window boundary and attempt to resize, the cursor does not release the boundary unless you right-click. Until you figure that out, you are stuck with the molasses slow accordion of making the window larger and smaller. Finally, as with many programs from this vendor, there is a built-in tool for creating video presentations that is difficult to hide or avoid. Overall, I did not find anything that Windows Expedition did better...or even as good as...applications already available from other companies. I uninstalled the program.

Douglas, but, then you will first come to the conclusion that the program does not offer any added value.

I find it hard to accept advice from anyone who doesn't know the difference between memory and storage space.

Douglas, I have yet to find ANYTHING as slow as Xplorer2 in accessing network locations. It is truly pathetic in that regard. This program isn't much better, incidentally.

Sounds really interesting.
One question though. Can I install this if I'm already using an explorer replacement? I use Opus 12 and am worried about conflicts, that's all.
I checked out its requirements :
Operating System: Windows All with .NET 4.0;
Word Processor: Optional;
PDF Reader: Adobe PDF Reader;
Codec: Update Window Media Player codec to play more audio and video format in built-in Media Player;

Do I really need Abode Reader installed to use this file manager?
Will it connect to Network Drives and Cloud Storage?
I'm genuinely interested in the software, but worried about conflicts.
Any advice would be appreciated.
thx
Richard

Richard Sebire,

Software that can be used with Windows File Explorer can also be used with Expedition at the same time.

Adobe PDF Reader is optional. You have to install it if you want Expedition preview PDF in built-in Media Player.

Windows File Explorer can see what resources, Expedition can also see.
