Same here, sadly:

Purchase Code is expired!

Still waiting on a working purchase code (and it's been 3 days now).

I have to add a comment if for no reason other than gratitude. I downloaded and installed the software without a problem. When I attempted to submit the Purchase Code, I repeatedly got a response saying the Code was invalid.
I emailed Sanwhole and within minutes Norman replied.
After sending him a screenshot and meanwhile trying a coupla remedies myself, Norman suggested I check that there were no empty spaces before or after the Code as I had typed it in the box provided (I had tried copy and paste as well as manually entering it a number of times). Turns out I had indeed left a space before the Code.

My thanks to Norman, Sanwhole and GAOTD for offering this great product. But especially thanks to Norman for the speed of his reply and willingness to help.

this program don't even have Microsoft digital signatures Windows Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk that's a no no when normally you would want $60

I went looking for reviews of this software offering on the Web and could only find links where it had been given away in the past, or is presently being given away, which is weird, I will pass on this offer.

Hello,

I have installed and activated it successfully. I have a question. If I reinstall windows, for example 6 or 1 year later. And then install Vole PageShare again, will the license work?

Thank you.

Reply   |   Comment by Simon  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+8)

Simon,

No. You don't have to activate the computer again. Because the license is for user, not for computer. The license allows you activate all you own computers. It doesn't check your computer hardware.

also if you back up your computer on a regular base you should have no problem at all. I use aomei backupper witch is a personal preference and works well for me

An easy builder is always a plus to have, especially for quickly needed sites that won't necessarily see heavy public traffic. However, I'm skeptical of this one because of [1] the many grammatical errors both in the description here on the GOTD page and on their own website (don't care enough to proof your text for $20? what care have you put into this pricey $60 software?) [2] the lack of the word "responsive" except to describe tabs... or tables (the site is truly mixed up!!).. and I don't care much about responsive tabs OR tables if the page itself is not [3] the potentially tedious registration process requiring signing up for some account I don't want. I'm with #5 Jim on this one.

The icing on the cake is the SLOW-loading developer site and the auto-play music, the use of tables for layout (view source code.. it's MS Word coding) and more. It's all too much. Thank you for the offer, but I'll pass today.

Fine, the license.txt which I got from them is also working with the portable version which you can download from their website. So no need to make an installing on my PC.

Thanks to Sanwhole and GOTD.

Installed on win7 pro and ultimate with no problems....no error messages. Easy registration - the instructions where very clear. Neat idea to use a document as a template..using M$ and Open office with no issues. Now - to figure out how to add social media to the site.....BTW - GREAT product.....

Since I'm looking for offline web design software I downloaded this.

I was able to evaluate the software without registering it - as it defaults to a basic free version. Just run setup and then open it.

There are templates and I guess for someone new you'd pick a template and then work from there although as the others have said the software could use a wizard. Although the link you click on defaults to internet explorer (you can right click and copy the shortcut and open it with a different browser.)

On Firefox the website was responsive - i.e. if would be mobile friendly.

However, you have to take note of this: https://sanwhole.com/Products/VolePageShare#VolePageShareSupport802272146

And then click open the link that says plans - and you can see the limitations of each plan. However, I couldn't find the price of anything as the store isn't functional on Firefox browser. To register and then try out software that doesn't have a functioning store and I don't know upfront how much I'd have to pay for the upgrade package - as it seems to be the only one that will allow you to build a fully customized website with a directory structure from - is somewhat pointless.

It also plays annoying sounds on its website - why oh why do people do that?!

So I guess I'm still looking for decent offline website building software ...

JJ, "It also plays annoying sounds on its website - why oh why do people do that?!" : This is a Chinese developer site -- this is how they seem to like it over here. Be glad you didn't have to chase the OK button all over the screen with your cursor :)

I think I'm going to give this one a miss : Chinese software is general (not saying this one in particular) are notoriously hard to remove, as they embed themselves really deep into your system.

As far as the software goes, I had a good look on their website itself, and came away more confused than enlightened.

I think if I were to make my own website, I'd rather dig in and go WordPress with own webhosting, or if webhosting isn't an issue

Reply   |   Comment by Louis  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+2)

continued : .... or if webhosting isn't an issue, go for Wix

JJ, look at https://www.90secondwebsitebuilder.com/index.html - the best one I've ever used was WebPlus X8, but they discontinued it in 2016.

Reply   |   Comment by Goldenbarstewart  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Louis, agreed. Wix is very reliable and incredibly easy to use. Weebly is way too broken and buggy.

Reply   |   Comment by Jum  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

JJ, your link is not working, however, copy'n'paste the link text will open the page.

JJ, GOTD's offer is for the 3.67 PRO LTUD version - up to 100 pages/site & 50MB/file limit. No Directory type site with this license.

Reply   |   Comment by fritz  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+22)

JJ, You can use Xampp and Wordpress together on your local PC to build offline. When you get ready to launch you can just use a migration plugin. Wordpress and new drag & drop builders like Divi are the best available resource. Of course if you're just wanting to build it privately online you can use a "maintenance" page plugin then nobody can see the real site but you.

S----T----O----P ! ! ! !

This made my MalwareBytes and antivirus go insane! I figured that must be a problem with the installer, but when I disabled them, I was still getting wierdnesses ("To continue installation, press [1] the button below..." which produced... nothing. No message that it was proceeding, nothing. Then, after a minute or so, up comes a box telling me my browser (Chrome... d/l last week) is "out of date" and I should click their button to experience the joys of using Chrome (right...) with the Yahoo search engine. A bleedin' "crap package" as I've not seen since Java downloads.

Ooo! Righty-o that! Yahoo is it? Thank y'very much old lads, but I'll now uninstall anything to do with "Vole".

(And, if you're reading this o' vole-masters, hire a native english speaker (who can spell) to do your splash boxes, eigh?)

vince brennan, seems like it attempted to install adware/trojan on your computer. run a scan using malwarebytes and your antivirus to clean it up.

You have to jump many hoops to actually install and license the software. Even create an account on their web site. Then you are on your own and have to battle a not very intuitive UI, based totally on the assumption that you start with some .doc file. It may be useful or not but right now I can't be bothered.

Tony,
Login (after registering), then click on your name (top right-hand corner) - this will display the "import Purchase" link (on the lef-hand side) - then insert the code, and click on "import purchase"

Whew!!

Othello86, thanks, I've done all the setting up and was just trying to get a feel on the handling and found getting around a bit awkward. What you see is also not exactly what you get with menus not showing. Still haven't found a switch to show the source code. You have to beat Seamonkey and Kompozer to impress and make it worthwhile to learn a new software, don't you? I'll spend some more time.

Radek, probably a good thing considering antiviruses are detecting it as suspicious and some claim it's installing adware, so you were saved.

Everything is moving toward responsive design (Mobile first), yet their own website is not mobile friendly, so I can only assume the software will not spit out responsive websites. Any comments Vole?

As I said, their own site is not responsively designed
