Sorry. English is not my first language. I corrected my comment to show as the following:
It will be great if you can add a feature to prepend numbering to each video downloaded in the playlist. Example if I want to download a playlist of 100 videos from youtube, the software downloaded them well but when you go to the downloaded folder, I can NOT tell which one to watch first as there is no numbering. Henceforth no ordering or sequencing like in a list.

I have this on my other PC from a previous offer on this site. I like the product, it works very well. However, ever single time I start the program it calls home and then comes up with an advertisement for a product. This is extremely annoying as I sometimes have to wait awhile for that process. Otherwise, I strongly recommend the program.

I own a number of lifetime licences for Digiarty products, but this the first time, EVER, that I've had an installation problem. I even uninstalled the Iobit Systemcare from GAOTD this week, thinking it was causing the problem, but still the same issue.
"C:\Users\MyName\AppData\Local\Temp\nsd1726.tmp\license_videoproc.rtf
Click Abort to stop the installation
Retry to try again, or
Ignore to skip the file"
I have v3.9 at present.
Only Windows Defender is running.

Richard Hind,
Did you try a "Fresh New Installation" on your OS?
1. uninstall current version of VideoProc 3.9
2. Download a FREE software program called >>> Everything 1.4.1.1005 (you can get it at voidtools dot com)
3. Using Everything, do a search on your hd/ssd for VideoProc. There should be 5 leftover folders that should be present. Delete them all. No need to look in the registry for anything to delete there. Reboot PC. Done.
4. Lastly, install the new version of VideoProc 4.1 and follow instructions to register it. (easy to do)

Richard Hind,
Or boot into "Safe Mode with Networking" and then try installing. Maybe something running in the background is preventing you from installing it fully, as you pointed out. Booting into safe mode with networking should avoid any issues. Try this method first before trying my previous post above.

Robert, Thank you for your suggestions. I recently been thinking of resetting my PC, and this has made up my mind. My son had a similar issue with another program when installing. So it looks a reset is necessary. I have also collected far too many unused programs. Many thanks.

I love this software, but it lacks full screen mode. The window is a bit small for precise manipulation.

Yeah- same here. In my 15” laptop- I’m not able to see the buttons at the bottom of the window.
Which make the program useless to me.
Uninstalled- sorry.

Have used it a lot to download videos. Another big standout of VideoProc is the built-in codec libraries. I can throw every media file at it and nothing to worry about while editing. It helps cut, merge, crop, add text to videos and these are very handy functions for beginners and semi-professionals. That's why I’m keeping it. Just tried editing a 4k @30 fps video exported from iPhone. It’s fast with very good results. Video stabilization worked!
Thanks for the new version. Hope to see dark mode in future version.

Good program, i have that one from another giveaway and it is one of the best video converters i have on my PC. The video downloader works well, and it has more video editing functions than other converters. There is even a screen recorder and a DVD copier. A keeper. Thanks GAOTD for the lifetime license.

I installed it last time they had this promo. Guess it worked for a month and started to ask to upgrade. What is the deal this time?

Raju Patil,
The setting for automatically checking for updates/upgrades cannot be unchecked. It was the same for the previous v3.9 when offered here.
No doubt this is intentional for the Giveaway edition. If you accept an update, then your "lifetime" registration is over -- so simply endure it as a condition of this free "lifetime" offer and do not accept the "update", or else buy a license!
Today I initially tried to see what would happen if I allowed it to check for an update as sometimes it works for certain titles on a Giveaway day; but it simply went to the following page for either downloading a "Free Trial" or for an offer to buy at a discount:
https://www.videoproc.com/upgrade/free-update-pc.htm?old-gv&ttsoft=vpwin-3.9-upui-gvtime-setup-gotd201015

I have tried to activate several times but each time it fails with the error:
"E-mail and registration code verification failed with error 222."

I am also getting the same response.

Danielle,
Looks like I'd copied and pasted the mac code instead of the Windows code from the registration details (doh!!)
Give it a retry with the appropriate code as this registered it fine without the 222 error message.
Hope it works OK for you.

I tried this on a previous giveaway and liked it well enough to buy a license. Since then I've used it for a variety of tasks mostly ripping DVDs and BDs. I've found it to be reliable and easy to use.

Can this handle subs without losing the sub timing when you trim ,crop, and join videos
I recently tried a couple all-in-one's and they worked for video but not for subs(subs are still present however they are out of sink)
Save | Cancel
MOV, subtitle files are just text files with timings in them, so if you adjust the video, the subtitles will be out of sync. It would be very time consuming to amend that file manually for every subtitle.
Save | Cancel
Subs or captioning may be present in different types of video streams. DVD & Blu-ray subs are like audio a separate file that's combined with the video. Streaming services and cable also use a separate subtitle or captioning stream alongside video and audio streams -- they may use their own proprietary format. DVDs may also have captioning embedded in the video itself, but it cannot make it to a TV so the TV can decode it over HDMI -- however, traditional captioning can be included in digital over the air broadcast streams.
With few exceptions, e.g. some versions of Nero Recode when used with DVDs, subtitles &/or captions need to be treated separately whenever you're not using/viewing the original video stream that includes audio & subs, e.g. with re-encoded or converted video files. There are tools, e.g. ccextractor, to extract embedded captions to a specially formatted .srt text files, and there are tools, e.g. Subtitle Edit, to OCR DVD & Blu-ray graphics-based subs to .srt files. Methods & tools for streaming, cable, & satellite video varies according to the source & the tools you use to download or capture these usually DRMed streams.
Once you have an .srt file, the easiest way to view subs is to store that file next to the video file, using the same name for each -- very many players, including OEM players on cell phones, can then display those subs. Video converters can also often import .srt files, but any advantage is dubious -- as a separate file you can turn sub display on/off, and usually have control over how it's displayed, e.g. font, size, shading etc. Note: there are apps or tools to adjust subtitle timing *if* needed, modifying the .srt file.

Mike, Thank You for the response. Between you and Chris sub's seem to be quite involved and not a simple thing to keep synced. Are you aware of any all-in-one video editors that do because the stand-alone sub editors as mentioned by you, and as Chris said "very time consuming"

Yet another installer that offers the option of changing the install path but won't accept anything but the default. Kinda pointless offering a custom install option if you are not going to accept an alternative install location. Guess I will stick with version 3.5 as I don't really need the new features.

I had V 3.9 from a previous giveaway when the thumbs up reached over 100 if that helps.
Mine had expired which is strange as its not supposed to (lifetime licence?)- oh well - perhaps that has been solved with this issue.
I havent tried this out in order to compare, just yet, but to save a few people some time i tried installing over the older expired version on my W7 64 bit system with no joy.
I had to do a complete removal inc leftovers and reboot before running v4.1 in order for it to let me register - so prepare to have to do likewise.

J.Barry, I had no problem installing over version 3.9 on W7 64-bit. I also have their older product WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe. I use it all the time and did purchase the multiple license. The tech support is also great.
