Installation went fine, but program failed to work. After several attempts, it was promptly uninstalled.

This is the second time I have tried this giveaway software. On both occasions the app appears to install correctly as there are no error messages shown, but when you try to load a .mp4 file it just locks!!!!

Doesn't work at all for me. Downloaded and installed okay, allows selection of video for editing, but it never loads into the app! It's a shame as I've been waiting for a simple video splitter.

The one word that I can't find is "Lossless". Are we to assume that all edits will require re-rendering?

Peter, it requires re-encoding probably using a lossy encoder (pirated distribution of FFMPEG.EXE is installed into a subfolder of your Documents folder!)

I have installed Video Split & Trim 3.4.4.40 from Give Away of the Day and now have problems with playing the video in the playback window. It is simply black regardless of what video I load for trimming, etc. Can someone help me with the current version offered by Give Away?

because of the same issue AF Phantom has, I can't say if it converts later
If it did work the statment ~multiple segments with high time position accuracy~ is it???keyframe or non-keyframe???time position accuracy to the second or hundredth of a second

I've been wanting to get a simple splitter for a while because I hate having to re-render videos just to split or trim a file. Didn't have time to test this yet but if it works as advertised it's definitely a welcome addition to the toolbox,

David Jaynes, this re-renders and re-encodes trimmed sections to allow it to be frame accurate otherwise it would only be keyframe accurate. Better to test it rather than just assume it does what you'd like it to do.
