I wanted to try installing this on win 8.1 as most of the comment is about win 10 lock out, this program locks the computer soon after the installation, i have never seen a program which prevent ctrl+alt+del to open tast manager, this programe is too buggy it wont even let open tast manager, uninstalled right away!

2Vince: Thank You for review. Sorry for problems. I think, the TwinkiePaste has problems under Window10 64x :(

After reading the comments I don't dare install it on my windows 10 rig!
Windows 10 is flaky enough without this extra grief.
I use Ditto as per Gerhards comment.

@Carc or Corek: Sorry. Not ready for Prime TIme. Not ready for ANY time, I fear.

Nice idea but there are many competitors which don't lock the computer (Win XP, Win 7, Win7-64 and Win10-64) (Well, at least it's consistant!) every time.

aPPRECIATES for the effort but you need to add a few more Frog's toes to the pot.

Any program that freezes your computer is not good
Sorry but I'm not willing to even try this after seeing other posts here.

I've been using Flashpaste (also a GAOTD). It seems to work well even with very large amounts of data and I'm very comfortable with it.

Can't see myself changing now.

I did install the program in WinXP and in Win10-64.
Both the installations went fine and smooth.
Also the registration went smooth.

As usual I tend to down load and try out the software before reading the comments. In my opinion this has the potential to be a very useful tool but sadly it doesn't seem to have been very well thought out and as a result hogs system resources making it impractical and it is way to complicated for what it does, there's much room for improvement, think the programmer(s) have gone a bit over the top with their coding, I fairly sure it could be trimmed down and still function as intended. Nice try but no cigar.

okay d/led it but after installing it on Win 10 64bit and the FRUSTRATING registration the program flops, locks the computer up. So I figured I'd try it in a Virtual machine running Windows 7. installs fine and runs but does not do a good job. Phrases are not pasting to even notepad much less word. after several times uninstalled with uninstaller program and removed the MANYYYY entries it had left behind in the registry.

Now lets deal with the name???....lol wont even go there...

It does not crash my PC.
Remember to refer to the path and file name of zip file holding the key.
Do not type in the key.
User interface is a bit crowded. It takes getting used to.
Remember to untick the [Check for updates]
Correctly, by default the box for [Start TwinkiePaste with Windows automatically] is left unticked.

There is a gross English grammatical error in the menu.
It says, for example "5/5 childrens"

Please note that "children" is already a plural noun.
There is no such thing as adding a "s" to "children" to create "childrens".

If it locks up your computer and forces you to do a power down, how can there be much GOOD to say about it?

Terrible program that appears to be in a alpha stage of development. It did install (win 10) seems to run, then it all goes wrong.Try to add a group, fails with bug report. Try to add a phrase, nothing happens, try to copy phrase from clipboard seem to work, but open note pad to try it out fail, ctrl+alt+enter does nothing, then computer totally locks - never happened before so very likely caused by this program. Can't shut down via task manager have to do a power off. Now, no proof it's related but was fine before this, on restart everything missing from utorrent!!!

Same experience as Tony Benett: The program freezes the computer even after restart. You have to be quick uninstalling after a restart (Windows 10)

The activation was an awful process. I had to put the zip file separate onto the desktop. Then it copied from the link. Meanwhile the CPU usage was 100% so nothing was getting done. When the licence was done it still was using nearly 100% of cpu, so deleted it. And will go back to Clipx. Thank you and no thank you for this software

Reply   |   Comment by Tony Bennett  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+80)

Yeah, looks like it's bottlenecking the CPU very hard for no reason. It literally freezes the whole computer.

I've tried the newer build from the homepage and it's the same thing.

That's a very serious issue that needs to get fixed ASAP, otherwise there is no use for it.

Worse if possible for me on windows 10. Never got to register it just turned off power on what seemed to be a locked up pc. So So glad I made a restore point before installing.

Installation process & activation went very smoothly (from single shot):

but I confirm, that interface is little to much sophicticated ;-)
Right Click Tray icon Menu is very strange (2 columns)
and options menu appears on bad side of menu.

No furter problems finding yet.

Many thanks.
