I had Itunes a long time ago, and bought some music from them. Never again. So... I have Itunes music but cannot play it, and I will not install Itunes again (and register things and go thru their hoops) just to convert those songs to MP3. So... this software is useless to me. And generally speaking, why require a program you're trying to get away from in order to execute your software? You should re-think this requirement.

Ummm . . . what do you do if you install today's freebie - and it takes out iTunes from your computer?

I don't use iTunes myself, but I mentioned today's giveaway to someone who does. And now we're both trying to work out how to recover the Missing Link.

Well, after lots of testing and grumbling - at one point it said it was only a demo copy, at another it wanted cash before working - it does seem to have settled down and it has now done one music file. It won't do books except for a few minutes at a time, but he says if the music thing will work, he'll be happy enough with it.

I would like a ibook/epub DRM remover, my iPad screen just broken after fall from 30cm from my desk on my knee. So I could read it in my computer or android tablet.

I dont have any itunes music with drm to test this, but just asking - anyone now how it works? Some work by playing music and capturing the analog sound. This tends to reduce the quality of the result.
happy converting.

Edit to my post #4, the program is fast and works, but not writing title, artist, album track etc to id3 tags of mp3. This is a huge issue, am i missing something here? This would cause huge amounts of work to retag, must be a mistake or bug?

If you're looking for a great tagging program, check out "MP3 Tag Express". It saves a lot of time setting tags and cleaning-up file names.

Installed, copy and paste worked, program is working great. This and sidify apple music converter giveaway are the only 2 that have worked on my itunes library (which is large) - If the purchase is lifetime updates i would like to buy this program so that i can install it again later if i get a new computer.. Itunes is not running while the program is converting to mp3, i am not sure if it is required, but i assume it is. By the way i have no use for movie or audiobook converter, is there a way to purchase just the music converter portion?

ITunes is required (if you can actually register it).

M.Ray, iTunes being required is pretty obvious, the description says it removes DRM from iTunes purchases.

Jum, Not obvious. If I have iTunes songs saved on a hard drive But don't have iTunes itself installed, I should still be able to remove DRM.

Paul Silvan, how could you have that? You would either have downloaded iTunes and uninstalled it, or downloaded it online, which is not recommended at all.

Before I download this I have one question of the developer.

Is iTunes required to be installed on the computer in order for TunesCopy Converter to work? Most software like this require it. I dont like iTunes and dont want it on my computer, so please let me know. This program is useless to me unless it can work independent of iTunes.

gregn357, it's an iTunes DRM remover, so yes.

Reply   |   Comment by Jum  –  5 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

gregn357, I agree Greg, I do not allow iTunes on any workstation in my SOHO or in my IT department or any user's workstation at the office. If iTunes is a requirement, I will pass on this utility. I also noticed someone mentioned that the metadata is not converted with the track, has anyone else notice this, as all convertors I have used are metadata tagging utilities as well. Its probably just easier to write this utility for conversion usage without the iTunes requirement, as I can download iTunes DRM and convert on the back-end.

Spyke - to SaaS or tonot(SaaS)', So you'll allow free software from a tiny and relatively unknown company on workstations in your company, but you won't allow free software from one of the biggest names in computing?

I'm no fan of Apple, but your rationale seems massively flawed.

G P Hards, I never said "I would allow free software from a tiny and relatively unknown company on office workstations", you are massively uninformed.
