Maintain a healthy corporate network!
Total Network Monitor helps system administrators maintain local area networks by continuously checking the availability of network computers and services. While continuously monitoring your local network, Total Network Monitor sends instant alerts once an issue is detected, helping to correct issues before they become problems. Low bandwidth and low CPU consumption, multi-threaded performance and comprehensive reporting make Total Network Monitor an ideal solution for networks of any size.

Total Network Monitor does much more than verify availability of servers on a schedule. A wide range of sensors allows to check the status of various components of your network infrastructure. In addition, Total Network Monitor can perform steps to mitigate the issue automatically (e.g. by launching a troubleshooting app, performing a remote reboot or attempting to restart the affected service). All issues can be silently logged into a text-based log file.

System Requirements:

Windows OS; CPU: 1000 MHz; Memory: 512 MB; Disk space: 30 MB for the installation plus 1-5 MB for the monitoring project; Network: TCP/IP

Installed (seemingly) without a hitch on Win-7 Pro 32-bit machine but upon launch got access violation error messages that wouldn't stop - had to shut down. Started over (new download and new installation) but got same results. Uninstalled. Surely glad I didn't pay 150 bucks for the program!

Too bad - I get the access violation this program is apparently famous for. Can't even open it because that violation box comes up and comes up and never stops coming up till I turn off computer!
"access violation 773DD968 in module ntdll.dll address 00000014"

Not many comments. Maybe because people are having trouble installing the software. I've tried several times and all I get is a message that the software has been activated but the software doesn't ever seem to be actually installed.

Installed with no problem but will not run, just get an Access violation error

I agree. Without Asraf, Karl, and Giovanni (just my 2 cents worth!), this place is a lot deader. We didn't appreciate what we had.

Ricky, agree entirely about Ashraf and Giovanni.

Ricky,
and since they left, the ratings for the giveaways are much more positive!

Ricky, I even missed myself here! The numbers sure have plummeted, huh?

Peace!

Hi, althou this past GOTD offer (Total Network Monitor) is few years old and 'much' probably evolved since that release - it's the same Software, same Company and even price.. Some interesting Comments (including entries from past and present Experts) giving people better idea how this Product worked after testing and how it was received by GOTD users - can be found here: https://www.giveawayoftheday.com/total-network-monitor/ Please note that this Company (from Pittsburgh USA, we read on their homepage in 'About us') has already released version 2.1.0, that is Today's Giveaway, which is nearly double in size compared to that previous one, so few more features/tasks must have been added on, no doubt.

fran, You are misinformed. The "security" certificate for this software
indicates that the company is Russian- located outside of Moscow.

forus, Thanks for that, when You go to their homepage and click on 'Company', on the right You will find this:

'Address:
651 Holiday Drive
Foster Plaza 5
Suite 300
Pittsburgh, PA 15220
United States'

That's how I got 'misinformed'. Naturally by quoting this info simply from their hompage.

Product looks interesting. I'd like to work with it awhile but I can't find a way to register it. The program tells me that I am using an evaluation copy which is good for 60 days. You give me the name & registration # but I don't see any place to enter it.

insomnia mon ', Anyone know if Karl is writing or working for another website? I hope that nothing bad happened to him and that he is in good health/spirits.

Pretty good website.

BillyB,

And don't forget Giovanni.

All were/are wonderful at reviews and comments, but maybe this just became too much like a real job with no viable return on time and thought investment. Just my thoughts, not their words. I'd like to hear from all of them, too.

But, there are some still here and some new that give valuable input, just not on a daily basis. Maybe we'll get to keep them awhile longer.

BillyB, What about the WONDERFUL Giovanni?? What happen to him . Missing his great reviews and alternate sw programs....

BillyB,
Let us not forget Giovani too. I miss all three guys. Hope they are all fine & will soon be back- at least occasionally.

Reply   |   Comment by Aworawo  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

It may be that there were enough "you don't know what you're talking about" or "who are you to always be posting free alternatives, don't you know this is about the vendor giving us a trial version, and not about undermining their efforts" types of comments that wore them down, and they decided to invest themselves elsewhere. Everyone likes to be appreciated. Very few enjoy warrant-less criticism.

Yeah, they were appreciated. Yeah, they're not here anymore.

Dan, we all miss them... Thanks for remembering them!

Peace!
