Who still uses GIF, PNG and SWG files. That is from the time when a CRT screen (256 colors) was common. One should not take that seriously, offer something from before 1990.

Norman, animated GIF's are still popular as animated avatars and statement animations in comments that permit embedding images to express ideas. The 256 colour restriction is only a big deal if trying to display photographs.. for animation it's normally ok. PNG can be upto 32bit colour as well as the older paletised 256 colour versions.

This company has a strange idea of what the term Freeware means! On their site that have a page of what they call "Freeware" http://www.thundershare.net/freeware-center.html
all but one is actually a crippled program that requires paid upgrade of the license in order to derestrict it and make it a useful program. That is not the definition of "Freeware" software! That's the definition of crippleware! Or at best a Free download of a feature limited demo.
I'm not bothering with todays giveaway as I have tried earlier versions and there is no development history of the program to show what if anything has changed since 3.1.0
