Well I didn't win. But I'm greatful for the chance. And Ashampoo does carry some of my favorite products. In fact, I just pre-ordered Winoptimizer 15 from Ashampoo.

Really cannot enter as have all these software titles (No, i don't have another PC).
Out of the seven, Snap 9 is my personal best, even though it has been superseded by Snap 10 now.
The company gets a lot of criticism regarding junk emails. These options can be turned off within the software.

Seems to be some problem - when I click on subscribe to news letter that option disappears and I'm offered not 5 but 4 options and I don't subscribe to any of them and never will. This has happened before preventing me from entering the competition

Colin, Does it completely disappear from the widget? because ever since the first time I subscribed, whenever I now click that button I just get the tick by default without any remaining pop up. As for subscribing to youtube, liking pages and such, you can always unsubscribe or unlike after the task has ticked.

On that note, youtube subscriptions should not bother you nowadays, they changed it in such a way that you are only bothered by notifications when you also enabled the "bell" icon next to the subscribe button

Although I already own Snap 10 but can highly recommend 9 as well. Ashampoo has some incredible software and this "suite" is a very nice and generous giveaway. Good luck to all who enter and don't forget to read the comment by Louis Hazard on how to get rid of the nag screens.

I already have older versions of all of these - and they aren't my Go-to, but they are next in line. I don't have any requirement for the latest, so I'll stay out to give others the chance. Ashampoo has always dealt well with me.

I posted this as a reply to another comment here, but thought it might be helpful to post it for all......

If you do not want to get frequent, or even occasional, popups telling you about offers, new versions, or other info from Ashampoo, they have made it possible for you to do just that.

Just follow the instructions provided by Ashampoo itself.....

Solution:

1. Access the service channel settings through the "Settings" or "Configuration" menu in your application. (me - Not all current programs have this listed under "Settings" or Configuration," but they all have the "service channel" available.)

2. Uncheck any or all of the options as desired.

Please repeat these steps for all affected products.
*************************************************************************

I normally leave the option to notify me of updates on everything, but uncheck the rest as I normally check the website twice a month for new programs and special deals.

As to emails, they give you full access to either get the emails on a regular basis (as published), once every 14 days, once a month, or not at all. This can be easily accessed via your account on their website.

These are wonderful programs that are frequently updated with new and improved features, as well as for fixing of bugs customers report. I am thoroughly satisfied with all the programs I have purchased from them over the years. I already have licenses for all of the programs in this offer, but if I didn't I would jump at the chance to get them.

And while ALL programs come with all boxes checked for getting notifications, they DID make it possible for you to uncheck these once you install the program.

SO please do not let the negative posts about how they "spam" you, or hassle you with "nag screens" stop you from the enjoyment the actual programs can provide. ALL such "negatives" can easily be stopped.

I have been using Ashampoo products(some paid for, some free) for many years. I consider them essentials, as necessary and useful as a good security software. Thanks Ashampoo. Keep up the good work.

I don't mind the emails, as you get good (much cheaper) offers.

Edwin Killick,
Agreed. Good software. The problem is, the company NAGS you incessantly. Every time you open a program, you have to close the nag screen to upgrade (at a cost, of course). And be prepared for spam offers from them. I use a spare gmail account for any dealings with Ashampoo, so they won't clog my regular account.
Be warned, folks!
