Reading through all these comments this initial version of the software is plagued with problems of all sorts.
Lets hope they release an update shortly with all the bugs ironed out and offer it via GOTD again as we have been very helpful to them as "beta" users.

Getting ANYTHING to allow end-users to manage their own CrApple products can be dang near impossible anyway, but ...

... whoever designed this Tenorshare product AND giveaway dropped the ball, seriously.

NOTHING WORKS.

But thanks for trying anyway.

1 - when installing, it first runs multiple screens over themselves, downloading unified supplemental iOS-drivers or CrApple-drivers or who knows what, making it very hard to find and enter the registration information.

2 -- those unidentified downloads repeat endlessly, even after forcing the program to end and reloading, the downloads repeat endlessly.

3 -- I'd love to actually TRY the product, but since it NEVER stops trying to download supplemental CrApple stuff, and NEVER accepts the supplied registration information as legitimate, there is NOTHING I CAN DO WITH THIS GIVEAWAY.
__________

Can ANYBODY FIX the Tenorshare iAnyGo 1.0 giveaway to make it work?

Can't register the program. Windows 10 x64 Pro / Tried what someone stated to try in these comments by downloading the trial and using same info to register and still says "Authentication failed, the registration code has been used on other computers or something changed your computer hardware. If you have any further questions, please contact our support team."
Looks like I have to contact them. Very tedious is all. I know it's free but come on.

loophole13,

I got the same message when I used the email address I received and the registration code that came in my email when I followed the instructions in the readme file. So I went to the developers own website and manually downloaded the "TRIAL" program without using GOTD's link. Then I launched the program and entered the email address and code I received via GOTD into THAT program's "Register" boxes (located in the little icon in the top right of the main window.) The program accepted the info.

Hope that works for you, too!

I'm still a little scared to use the program because even though it lists 10.3.3 as an available OS to downgrade to, I've heard that Apple stopped signing that version, so I'm not sure what will happen.

Has anyone successfully downgraded 11.0.3 to 10.3.3 using this program yet?

A bit of googling reveals that Apple has indeed stopped signing 10.3.3. https://www.macrumors.com/2017/10/04/apple-stops-signing-ios-10-3-3/

So can the developer (or someone who has tried it) please comment on whether the "10.3.3" option listed in today's GOTD version actually still works or not? I'm trying to downgrade from 11.0.3. (Hate it!)

Maybe YOU ruined it for the rest of us, because I tried that too, and got the "has been used on another computer OR your hardware has changed".
__________

Regardless, the given registration fails on either the GOTD program or the web-trial ( same exact size executable setups, by the way ).
__________

IF this program actually works at all under ANY circumstances, THEN it would be nice to try even the TRIAL, let alone the GIVEAWAY.
__________

Oh well, I hold NO expectations of success anyway, as I have NEVER seen ANY manager for CrApple live up to ANY promise to allow the OWNER to manage their own piece of CrApple equipment, like we can do on PC equipment.

Peter Blaise,

Ouch!

I'm a bit taken aback by your accusatory tone, Peter, as if it's solely my fault that you can't download and install this program, since if you read my entire post, it probably won't work to downgrade from 11.*.* anyway.

I was just trying to assist another GOTD user, in the spirit of cooperation that has always been a hallmark of this board.

In the past, if you had a problem with a program or an install, you asked for help from the developer and didn't just blame another GOTD user.

But perhaps times and the readership has changed.

Stan, et al.

As I mentioned in my original post, Apple stopped signing 10.3.3 a while ago so I contacted the developer to see if this program would no longer work, even though the version available to us today via GOTD says it will. Here is their reply:

"Hi there,
Thanks for contacting Tenorshare Support Team.

As you mentioned, Apple stop signing 10.3.3.So there is no program can downgrade to that version including our programs. Thanks for pointing out,we will update the lists.

Regards

Vincent"

So if you just want to downgrade to an earlier version of 11, this program might work.

Sorry Peter. :-)

All installed and registered - program simply does not recognise that my iPad is even connected. As iTunes does, and is able to read data etc from it with no problem, I can only assume that this "giveaway" is probably not even worth the disk space it's taking up!
Have emailed the "Tech Support" - so will await their response!

What a bunch of bother ... jumping through hoops in order to register. Ridiculous! And making the Download Manager more prominent than the application is very annoying.

I prefer the old way of downloading the application and having the registration information in an included text file.

I installed the program but didn't actually use it today. I really don't want to change to a different version of iOS today. Maybe some day.

I was able to revert from 11.0.2 to 10.3.3 (couldn't be happier now that it's done) on Monday by clicking on "Restore" in iTunes while holding the shift key. I already had the ipsw file for my 6S. I don't know if/when Apple stopped signing, but it worked for me then.

I do not know how Apple controls the distribution of iOS to the devices that operate using that OS. I have an iPad 2nd generation that I would like to be able to upgrade to iOS 11. If that device is capable of running iOS 11, but Apple just does not allow iTunes to deploy it to such a device, then I am wondering if iAnyGo can allow iOS11 to be installed on 2nd generation iPads like mine.
Is that possible?

Reply   |   Comment by David  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+4)

David, you can't install iOS 11 to iPad 2 because they are incompatible at all - iOS11 is for 64 bit devices while iPad2 is 32 bit device. I believe apple just removed all 32 bit code from iOS11 to simplify support and future development. And it also will allow to remove some parts of hardware in future devices like iPhone X.

No - iOS versions will work only on very specific hardware. Don't even attempt it or you could end up with an iPad "brick"

Vaspo, Thanks for that info. I come from a Windows PC background and extensive career built on the Microsoft ecosystem. I did purchase a Mac Mini and inherited my iPad 2 from my wife, so I'm just now beginning to understand the hardware evolution of the Apple product line.

Stan,
From the program's homepage, https://www.any-data-recovery.com/product/ianygo.html -- "You are able to freely select any iOS versions you would like to upgrade or downgrade to AS LONG AS Apple is still signing it..." (emphasis added)

Notice that key last phrase! Though I wasn't able to find it mentioned elsewhere on their site in a very quick look.

Yeah, I was kind of hoping this software could do the "impossible" here too...

J S, J S, what are those b****** then:

"Supported iOS: iOS11/10/9.3/9.2/9.1/9/8.4/8.3/8.2/8.1/8/7 and lower."?

That is on theyr site also, in "Tech Spec" section.

Also- it is not imposible to downgrade to older version, evei if Apple doesnt sign it anymore:

Thanks for the software. I am looking for:
1) A program (or a way to) that can downgrade Itunes (not iOS) without loosing my playlist etc. Especially after the last upgrade of Itunes, I can no longer sync my apps.
2) A way to access, download and sync iOS apps (to a Ipod touch) through a PC with only cabled internet (No wireless can be used on Ipod or in the house). This can no longer be done after the last upgrade and change of Itunes.
Anyone knows about this?

Reply   |   Comment by Aza  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-4)

Aza,

Howdy,

After reading the reviews on this program, I did not bother but, I have other programs that work for what you are asking. I do not like or use iTunes, but do use an iPhone 5, and all my data is backed up, and I even loaded songs to my phone, again sans iTunes.

Did some research and search on free iTunes alternatives, and came up with some sweet programs, and tested them using Shadow Defender (ie leaving no traces behind incase I had problems loading and uninstalling). The ones I kept, worked well, no conflicts, and no problems on my seven year old Windows 10 laptop, after I rebooted out of Shadow Defender.

I kept three, two are giveaway versions available now and the third, is the free software from Copy Trans (uses a GUI manager to run their free programs, and no problems). I do stress the free programs from there, is what I used not their paid programs.

Important *** Loading WinX MediaTrans first as it downloaded all the needed Apple drivers including one for my 64 bit system (x86, 64bit, and Apple mobile). I let it run it's course on install, and downloads, rebooted my system and then entered the giveaway licence. All fine.

The order of install is as follows, WinX MediaTrans, Copy Trans (Gui and then their free (choice up to 4) programs, and finally found EaseUS MobiMover and installed it. All connections where through cable, USB, between iPhone and pc. All done/installed/checked yesterday.

1) WinX installed as mentioned above, played with it, and found some music I liked on my pc, and loaded onto my iPhone, no problems. Deleted and reinstalled from phone to pc, visa versa, again no problem. Just so you know, I had no music(or any data) on this iPhone as it was a recent clean install on the iOS. Recognizes all your data on the Apple device as well as books, drm remover, and it has a ringtone maker. When I say data, mean, media ( photo, movies, music), contacts.
Works as stated!
https://www.winxdvd.com/mediatrans/
I have the licensed giveaway version of above loaded yesterday.

2) Installed {free} Copy Trans Gui/Manager, and then picked which other free programs I needed (wanted) through the manager, and let the manager get them from the Copy Trans Site to install. Complete backup of my iPhone 5, as well as recognized all Apple data . This is the only software (of the three) that does a complete iPhone backup, using {free} Copy Trans Shelby program. They do have another free program that they state, it will download the required drivers for Apple devices. I had no need to try it to see how it works, as I did # 1) first, lazy I guess. ;-)
Works as stated!
https://www.copytrans.net/

3) Finally, came across the EasUS Mobi program, as I am a big fan of their products, and I have all of them, and they all work as stated as well. Working as stated to me means, no conflicts with other programs, does what it is supposed to (installs and works), and doesn't screw up my pc, or add hidden bs, or has ads, or is trial ware (not lifetime license). MobiMover recognized my iPhone 5, as well as all the data in it. Another good program for backing up contacts, music, movies, photos, etc.
Works as stated!
https://www.easeus.com/phone-transfer/mobimover-free.html
I have the Pro licensed giveaway version of above, downloaded yesterday.

There you are, three that are worthwhile, all tested and they ALL do work. Again, no iTunes on my pc, so these programs all seen the iPhone 5 and the iOS (10.3) it is using and the media/data on my iPhone. From what I have researched, all of these will recognize up to iPhone 8 and the latest iOS. I can not verify that as I do not have that, but, so far for my needs, all great, shrugs.

I will stress, or I should also mention this, as I do not have nor use iTunes, and have no idea if any of these will conflict with it, or how they will mesh with it. As I hate iTunes (used it before for my iPod years ago on what is now my backup pc), I will not load it on this machine. Yet with all this being said, these three held up great to what was needed for my iPhone 5.

This is important, if you DO NOT have iTunes on your pc, DO NOT connect your phone without the proper drivers, do # 1 - WinX, or get ALL the Apple drivers installed first. You will have an unknown device error in device manager and some problems. You will then need to get rid of that first and then go with having the drivers loaded.

Disclaimer, what you do on your equipment is up to you, do not whine to me if something doesn't work, or you screwed up your stuff. If you have no idea or not sure on something, (since you are reading this, you know how to use the net, do not be lazy) research it first! I will remain blameless.

Enjoy and Regards,

MS
