I downloaded and installed this program and requested the license in time, and did not receive it from the company. What should I do now? This has NEVER happened with GAOTD before.

I, also, downloaded the program, ran the installation but have never been able to get the software to actually start up. Every time I try, I see the entry in the Windows Task Manager but after about 5 seconds, it terminates from the WTM and I can not find any entries in the log files as to why. This is a Win-XP SP-3 stable system. Real disappointed!

Junk, Junk .. Did I mention junk. Ok if you own a cheesy computer with a 100gb hard drive and lost a family photo it might work. I downloaded it to restore an sd card from a few years back. Didn't recognize my tablet. that is ok because although it is a windows 10 tablet I understand so I booted it into android .. still nothing .. well it is something different. Went into my box of junk pulled out my older Samsung that was rooted and open so I could test it .. didn't recognize that ... went in closed and reopened every usb , degugging Heck they could have snt the most obvious junk into it and it would have said .. sure why not .. and it still told me I didn't have it connected. Would I recommend it .. well if your 4 year old messed up your singing monsters password text file .. maybe .. Something Important .. at free you was ripped off!!

KEY does NOT work on Win 10, used normal install and Administrator install, neither will accept code given. Does not work.

Is there a work-around to fix this issue?

Jon Mood, Key works on my Win 10

Reply   |   Comment by Evgeny  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+1)

Jon Mood, Did you install this software before? Cause if you did, you may still have some registration info from previous versions, and it may not accepting new key.

I ran setup file, but nothing got installed, only giveawayoftheday website was opened. I downloaded setup file form the Tenorshare website, but the registration data provided by giveawayoftheday didn't work.

Tried 4 times to launch, unable to install. Wants to send the email to Microsoft to tell them why. I got the Registration key alright, but no software installation. hahahaha Error message: "Setup.exe has stopped working". Now 5 times, (I wanted the exact error message). Now, I went to the company name to leave feedback. "This page can’t be displayed", 2 dead end in one single deal.

Tested this giveaway Tenorshare Card Data Recovery with the exact same thumb drive that I used to test the previous day's offering. Chose (tick box) to recover photo, audio, video & other document.
Waited about 10 minutes for the scan to complete.

Result:
A blank table with nothing to show for 10 minutes of waiting.

Verdict:
Lousy

From the old thumb drive yesterday's Magic Uneraser recovered 13 images, and all of them were viewable.

Today's offer recovered 10, from the same thumb drive, and none of them were viewable.

I tried it on SD card and still there were more viewable, and more found images from Magic Uneraser.

Evgeny,

Did you try using Tenorshare Card Data Recovery 4.5 on an SD card as well ...

and see if that'll be viewable ...

" Tenorshare Card Data Recovery is a powerful program that is designed to recover lost files from various memory cards: photos, videos, audios, documents , other files, etc."

How about an addtional feature that able Tenorshare Card Data Recovery 4.5 to delete file (permanently) from memory cards:
photos,videos,audios,documents, other files, etc.

Reply   |   Comment by insomnia sat '  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-9)

insomnia sat ', It is NOT possible to irretrievable delete files from media cards, thumb drives, SSDs, et.. While you may stop most recovery tools, you are not going to stop serious forensics tools. Physical destruction is your only recourse to permanent removal.

Elias,

It is NOT possible to irretrievable delete files from media cards, thumb drives, SSDs, et..

If the data on the card (by card I include thumb drives, SSD etc) is deleted and then new files saved to the card then it can be recovered using forensic software, or a substantial proportion of it anyway. However if you erase the files/data using a good number of passes then there is little or no chance or recovery. Depending on the software used to erase the files the index files in the ntfs/fat etc stored in the mbr are also erased. If you are storing sensitive data on such media it is best to encrypt it that way even if it is somehow recovered there would be no way to read the data without the encryption key. Just thought I'd clarify it a bit ... Destroying perfectly good media is a bit drastic ... Unless you're a really desperate criminal, which I'm assuming your not ... Are you!

You should do a Secure Erase to destroy data on the overprovisioning disk space as well.
Also, this command will destroy all data on a flash drive:

sudo dd if=/dev/urandom of=/dev/sdX bs=4k

Wait until it completes. Or, alternatively, use the program h2testw to overwrite the drive to full capacity with random data.

Elias, Why, it's possible, a lot of secure erasers and data wipers out there. But deleted from ssd files have less chances of recovery than files deleted from traditional hard drives and thumb drives, it's by default.

Reply   |   Comment by Evgeny  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

Elias,

I was hoping one day someone will invent such software or gadgets that

will able to permanently delete files from SD and micro SD cards.

Reply   |   Comment by insomnia sat '  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Elias, sure you can. There are a lot of progs that will do it, including "wipe free space (35 passes) on Ccleaner.
