It DOES work. It took me all afternoon to figure it out and I`m still not sure what I did right. I did have to be sign in to Itunes on the phone, recognize my computer and shut off my anti-virus. I don`t know what did it but I finally got the messages

Installed okay on Windows XP. Took about 25 minutes to scan 32GB iPhone 4. Found about 1.6GB of files. During recovery application crashed. Tried again. Same thing. Uninstalled.

Tried to install and it says "Unable to connect"?

FYI I am trying to download this to a windows 7 64bit machine.

I have never had this problem in the past with any GAOTD software.

Tried running as administrator, still same message.

Help?

For iDevices running Apple iOS 8.2 and EARLIER, this is a GREAT application. Unfortunately, for iDevices with iOS 8.3 and newer, Apple Corporation has rendered this application less than useful.

Trying to run it on OS X gives the error: "SynciOS Data Recovery.app can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer."

You have to right-click (Or Ctrl-click) on it and select "Open": this way you'll have a popup asking you if you want to open it or not, instead of simply blocking the application.

I used this software when my computer blew up. I was able to recover all the music files on my iPhone. I had various other backups here and there but this program was fabulous. Without something like this, you cannot transfer files from your iPhone back to your computer.

I use Carbonite. Sure it costs $69 a year but it back up everything automatically. You never even have to think about it. I had a crash, recovered every file. And it will do the smartphone too no added cost. There are other backups programs too. Why worry, there are so many of these. Just do a backup. Listen to the experts.

Question for expert.
I am just a novice. Is this program capable of recovering files from external hard drive or SD card that has "need to be formatted" message? If not, is there any program other can do such recovery?

Thanks in advance for your help. Appreciated.

Try Recuva. Used to be free. May well still be. Has worked well for me in the past when accidently formatted external drive.

Wonder what Richards problem is (except slightly bad English) because Slysoft is a PAY web site whilst GAOTD is a free website. And the software on offer is Data recovery and NOT DVD Cloner Platinum, which is not a Syncios product. However if SlySoft wished to advertise here then I am sure they could be accommodated, otherwise just comment on the product being given away.

I wanted this software to work, as I accidentally deleted a thread of messages on my iphone 5 last week (why does Apple make it so easy to delete the whole thread, without a confirmation??). It installed and registered fine, but it will not recognize my device. The iphone 5 is listed as a supported model and my device connects fine to my computer and iTunes recognizes it fine. Bummer!

maybe give it a little time. i've found with some of these apps that at first it says it doesn't recognize my device, but then it does a little crunching, and there is my device. sooo...try it again, but wait a little while.

Jack is obviously an expert who would never need to recover anything, but what a stupid comment, if you have suffered a crash and burn then you will be grateful for some kind of recovery help

Any DVD Cloner Platinum
As soon as I saw this, I thought I'm not going to use any of your products until you stop trying to rip off Slysoft.
I see it as an indicator of your morality as a group, and if your happy imitating and I suppose defrauding others, then I wouldn't feel safe using your software, as I wouldn't trust it - for all I know you could be just data harvesting, You have no problem ripping off others and there name, so why wouldn't you?
I will pass up on this one and any others you release.
Have a good day
Kind regards
Richard

All these Data Recovery tools on the market, and I have never found one that does what it claims it can do. And here is another one... installed and couldn't find any music files I deleted off my hard drive last week. Thanks anyways GAOTD.

I never know, when something crashes.
After a day's work with a lot of activities, comes a crash.
And a day work will be lost.
