Been using stickypassword since day one. I told my brother about it, he tried it for a month and bought lifetime version.
Once you start using it you can't live with out it.

Just one question! If I ever forget my Sticky Password MASTER password, presumably I can no longer use the Sticky Password downloaded program? Subsequently therefore, I would need to revert to logging into individual websites as before? Sorry if this sounds like a dozy question!

Best wishes

JC

I genuinely like SP having used it from a previous giveaway years ago, however, I use a portable version of Pale Moon nowadays as my go-to browser but it doesn't seem to work on portable browsers. When I installed SP from the last giveaway it did offer to install on Firefox and Chrome, so I have RoboForm on Firefox, (an old version of SP I had broke with a Firefox update a few years ago so I started using Roboform on that platform), and SP on Chrome.

Please could the developer say whether this version will work on portable browsers? Thanks.

Can I import my LastPass data into Sticky Passsword?

dadams,
Yes, you can import data from LastPass into Sticky Password.
Here's a manual:

Marek - Sticky Password Team,

Thank you for your prompt reply. Unfortunately I could not get it to work with either Firefox or Chrome on my Win 10 laptop.

It worked okay up to the point Lastpass was to save the settings as a cvs file. Instead of giving me the option to save as a file, both browsers opened up another tab with the settings displayed but no way to save to anything other than a html file.

I have downloaded Sticky Password onto all of my computers. After using it for several years, thanks to Give Away of The Day, I bought the lifetime license when it was on special. My wife uses a web based password manager, but if the internet is not available, she is stuck. Also, I have concerns about cyber security. Sticky Password I have on my local disc and update all computers over my wifi network, rather than over the web. Then I can control who has access to my info.

I highly recommend this product. As others have stated, they have great customer support as well. Try it for free, then buy it to support the company and their product.

I copied the unlock code in the text file but sticky password rejects it as invalid. I have made multiple attempts even typing in the password provided.

Reply   |   Comment by Walter  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+1)

Walter, if you copied the licence by double-clicking it, pretty likely a space character was copied in the end, too. Remove it.

Reply   |   Comment by nupd  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-4)

1) Click the big green "Download now" button in this webpage.
2a) EITHER Click the big blue "Log into your Facebook account and share our links" button.
2b) OR, under the blue button, you can read "Alternatively you can get a personal download link via email." <--- Click email and you can insert your email.
3a) EITHER Follow the instructions of facebook (sorry, but I'm using the email option).
3b) OR login to your email account, find the giveawayoftheday mail, click download, it will open another giveawayoftheday page, double-click link and the software will be downloaded, in a zip package.
4) Use your antivirus on the downloaded file
5) If the antivirus won't complain, unzip the file: it (usually) contains three files.
setup.exe, setup.gcd, readme.txt.
6) Open the readme.txt and read it.

The "readme.txt" is part of .zip file that is provided by Giveawayoftheday.

I have an earlier free version 8.0.9.41 on my Win 10 laptop. I like to try the Premium version today. I downloaded the file and run set up, but it didn't overwrite the old version. So I uninstalled the old version and install today giveaway and still no install. I didn't get to the set up process and it jumped immediately to activation complete.

Can you help please?

Karen,
Sticky Password is able to install the extension to Vivaldi and run it in a limited mode. To install the extension, Google Chrome browser has to be also installed on your computer and our extension has to be activated there (or that our extension was at least once enabled in your Google Chrome).

To install the extension:

1) Open the following URL in your Vivaldi browser
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/sticky-password-autofill/bnfdmghkeppfadphbnkjcicejfepnbfe
2) Click "+ Add to Chrome"
3) Confirm Add extension
4) Click on the Sticky Password icon in the upper right corner of your Vivaldi browser and confirm the Sticky Password warning about unknown extension (press "Allow")
5) You should see colored Sticky Password icon in the upper right corner of your Vivaldi browser

Limitations:
- pop-up balloons with available logins are not displayed on accounts with multiple logins, it´s necessary to select available logins from the menu displayed by clicking on the Sticky Password icon displayed in the login or password field

This is by far the best password program I have used. I first installed from Give Away of Day and each time it came around I would add another year to my license. I then could not resist their on sale lifetime license and purchased. I have been very pleased with results. Many devices and safe cloud syncing.

It will continue to work: it will just become the free version.
I.e., these functions won't be supported after the license becomes free: Cloud Sync Across Devices, Cloud Backup, Local Wi-Fi Sync Across Devices, Priority Support.

Have used sticky password for 2-3 yrs. I consider it the most useful program on my computer. The program has evolved dramatically for the better during that time. Had some issues with the software a couple times in the early days. They responded immediately when I contacted them, supplied me with a fix right away. They are always updating to make software work better. My computer at the office, home and cell phone are always synced. Companies I deal with often require password changes so easy to make changes. Software pops up asking me if I want to store the changes. (Have seen the lifetime price for software show up on dealnews several times for $49)

I originally found Sticky Password version 5.x and found it to be excellent.

I have been BUYiNG the Full Program or Program Upgrades since version 6.x.

Since your new Lifetime Licence policy came into force however, until now, I have not contacted "Sticky Password"/"Lamantine Software" to ask for my License Upgrades.

Question: DO You have an archive of the English Language Final Release Editions of versions 6.x, 7.x, that I could download and use?

Why, because I would prefer to not use the ONLiNE Versions, (which I think started with version 7.) and I did not keep up with the program updates

if you want email me, I have used my Christian Name & Surname initials as well as my real email address.

Thank You - and I hope to hear from you either here in GotD or my private email.

Reply   |   Comment by J S  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

J S,
There is no such archive as older versions of Sticky Password will not work correctly with current versions of browsers and operating systems.

Sticky Password requires a StickyAccount to be created during installation. Your StickyAccount is your administrative account where you can manage your Sticky Password license and Trusted Devices. Whether you are currently using Sticky Password Premium or Sticky Password Free, your StickyAccount holds your license info and distributes it across all your connected devices.

It doesn´t mean that you have to use the online sync feature if you create a StickyAccount. Sticky Password gives you an option if you would like to use the online sync and backup, local wi-fi sync (sync only through your local network) or no sync. If you disable the sync option, you data will be stored only locally and any stored data will not leave your computer. The StickyAccount will be used just to maintain your license info.
