First of all I would like to say thanks to all the wonderful people who work together on this awesome site and for all the wonderful free software I have had the privilege of having for free..

I downloaded Sothink Logo Maker yesterday and am very pleased with the software. I had no problem with my activation key and it was sent to me shortly after I installed the software.

The installation was fast and very easy….

The software itself is wonderful, works perfectly and the exports are of optimum quality. Very simple to use and has great templates. If you are looking to make a more unique and more original logo then you have the options of using and modifying a wide variety of shapes and you do not need to be stuck to ready made templates only.

I highly recommend this software to anyone looking to create a simple, fast but professional looking logo in just a few clicks. For those who think that you can not create an original logo with this software, then you are wrong.. because the software definitely gives you the tools you just need to use your creativity. I will definitely look into purchasing the pro version soon…Thanks

just an update this is a good software company got an email after the expiration of the free download they gave me new instructions for the code 9 error i am very pleased i cant wait to try it out

I downloaded Sothink Logo Maker 3.5 on August 8, 2012 at about 8:30pm. I got a message that a key would be emailed to me within 12 hours to download for my new program. It is now 10:50am and the key never came and it is not in my Junk mail or my spam mail. I now have to delete the program, because they did not do what they promised.

Two registration process hoop you would think Fort Knox stores it; get an email , then confirm the email then get another email with the key . You have to tick the box to receive spam ( promotions ) or you wont get the key which also is impressively long.

Receipt of email key was not automatic ( immediate always makes a software company appear more professional ), but did not have to wait too long ( was the developer replying manually )?

Installed and registered ok, make sure you deselect the check for updates box and dont end up with a crippled version.

The site has an online tutorial . My first impression is it does not do anything different that any other graphic prog can do , free or paid. Except the templates would attract those who don't want to or have the time to learn the likes of incredible complicated progs like photoshop or illustrator. Graphic design artists would have these expensive heavy weight progs however I doubt the rest of Joe public would they be willing to spend $35 unless the "templates " were extra special or buy a prog which they would not use very often , or would you just try and make your own with a free graphic prog ?

I did not received the serial. Amateurs! Anyone please tell me how to unsubscribe from their newsletter which I was forced to subscribe in order to receive the serial for this product. After 24 hours, no serial number, LAME!

Another washed down version:-( Again, the software offered here is NOT the same as the one on their website. I despise this kind or marketing racket. Plus, you HAVE TO subscribe (obligated if you want the free registration key) to receive updating templates, design tips and promotion and of course their newsletter.

I had installed but will uninstall. It's not in my habits to do so but I've had it with these dishonest tactics...washed down versions and gimmics to get your email...

once you work you way though all of the program features, would think you
should be able to come up with some nice logo's. if you're in the need for this

#50-Griz make sure to use the name given in activation email 'Sothink Giveaway for GOTD'.I got same error until I used that name for user. No leading or trailing spaces,then it should work

I don't think there has a copy right issue. They packed resources in the program, which means they are free to use. Just use your imagination to create cool works.

I have a version of this installed on my desktop that was a give-a-way quite some time ago. Was very excited to find this today because that meant that I could now have it on my laptop (which I didn't have before) as well.

The other version on my other machine has many more features than this one! The other version allows me to change colors etc....this version is much, much, much less the the other version than was given away.

Yeah okay it's free and I shouldn't complain, but I am disappointed.

I will recommend this software maker to anyone, and I do remember them waaaaaaaay back in the day when they were just starting out as 'Sothink'...they used to post on a Webmaster forum I used to visit all the time.

Glad to see you guys have come so far from those days, but yeah, a bit disappointed that this version today doesn't contain the same features as the last time. (Okay yeah I'm greedy.)

While this looks appealing, the offer listed by Fubar seems outstanding. Thanks Fubar, I've missed your comments on this site and had wondered where you had gone. Looking forward to more insights that you have to offer on the software offered by GOTD.

All - this is really a hard one to call. IF you are a small business or someone trying to make a 'name' for yourself (and with all the graffiti tags and interesting user names and even the little logo pics you find next to names on Blogs, Facebook, and such), this is a handy little tool to make something nice for you. By comparison just by cost and size to the others offered by Giovanni and #6 and #17 (2.5G!!! for the later), this is an awesome offer - especially since it is free today.

However, if you are looking for a truly professional logo - you really need to hire a true professional - someone who takes into account such things as popularity, symbology, offensiveness (many of today's rappers could use some help here), legals, etc.

While there are some really great and really expensive programs that do all that, they, like all the other really expensive software require true professionals in that field to make the best products. Ex. if GAOTD gave away a CAD program so you could design your own deck versus buying AutoCad to design a multistory highrise.

So, for what is offered - thumbs sideways (I think the MAJOR difference between regular and Pro and only offering the significantly stripped down regular was a cagey move). But, thank you Sothink and GAOTD.

I just download the software and received the activation serial number right away and I am very much satisfied with the program, and it is free, why do people complain about software that is offered for free. If you don't like what is being offered, check back the next day. I check this site everyday and download what I can use.

I think the idea of this software is great !!( and I probably would have bought the retail version of it) however some companies are just not ready for prime time of which this company is a prime example.I downloaded the program at 11.306am est at 11.56 i received the subscription confirmation at 12 noon i received the faulty key with the error code 9.i unstalled the program and restarted the computer and tried to relaod the same error code the same happened. iuninstalled the program and tried to load as a new application at 12:28 pm sent off the subscription again and have yet to hear back from them
at 3:31 i did the same ....earlier today i sent an email to support as directed by the error code have yet to hear back from them and probably wont..
ok ok i understand its free..
however if you were the president of a company that is trying to make a name for yourself wouldn't try at least for that one day to put your best forward

Sothink - I love your company. I think you rock. I own 4 of your applications. 1 of them is a GAOTD, another is also a GAOTD that I eventually purchased when you upgraded it, and two I purchased outright. You also have provided good service to me by email the 2 times I've needed to contact you. You've always projected a company with integrity, quality, and innovation.

So, I'm disappointed. This software's interface and functionality do not come anywhere close to the great design and functionality of anything else I have. It get the distinct impression, though I may be wrong, that you purchased this from another developer and failed to really make it "Sothink" before offering it for sale.

I trust that future Sothink software will not disappoint me like this one.

About "commercial usage" -- my interpretation -- Use the software to create anything you want for yourself or your company, but do not charge others for work that you do with this software.

Matt (#15): I enjoyed your allusions to the Illuminati trilogy but I think it is a mistake to laugh off #6's comments too easily. As a student of graphic design I know the power of graphics in propaganda whether it is used to sell soap or a war. Color, shape, font and symbols do effect people on a deep, subconscious level, and the Madison Ave. guys who work for the rich and powerful are masters of it. Otherwise corporations and political movements wouldn't spend millions developing, promoting and protecting their logos. The corporations and the politicians who shill for them have no morality; they are perfectly willing to use any means to manipulate the rest of us in order to maximize profits. Study up on Edward Bernays if you want to find out what is really going on.

Hey, this one is actually worth downloading! I haven't downloaded anything from here in a long time. It seems the only things GAOTD has is DVD rippers and media convertors.

This program is great for quick click-and-go effects. It isn't a full fledged art program, but a click-and-design editor. It has lots of shapes to choose from and is quite intuitive.

This doesn't replace a good vector editor, however, such as Illustrator or Inkscape (free), but is fun to play with, and is less complicated. You get all the shapes right there, visible to you in a pallette. That makes shopping for shapes easy and fun, actually.

I think the authour has downloaded all the free vector shapes he could find from all-silhouettes.com! I can recognize them!

You can use your own graphics too, if you like, by "importing" (it even takes png files), but I don't see any way to update the resource libraries. I tried opening the libaries with Illustrator and Flash and XnView, but they seem to be in binary or something.

Funny thing is, you can give it a swf file and it will extract all the images in it and you can put them in your logo.

Meh. Clearly targeting home users, this offers you 50+ star shapes with only a few adjustable parameters where fullblown graphic editors offer you one star and 50+ parameters to adjust it's shape in any way you want. Provided logo templates are really generic and bland, you'll still need lotsa time to create something truly exciting and eyecatching, it all looks like a google image search result. Just as with other programs, one-click wonders simply don't exist.
If Photoshop or Gimp are a bit over your head and you just want some simple graphics for personal use, Sothink Logo could be your thing. I on the other hand am uninstalling. It's a good program as it is, but it just hasn't sparked any interest in me. Thanks anyway to Sothink Logo and GOTD.

Quite cool logo design software. I got code in several minutes and activate this program successfully. It is totally free! Thanks Sothink and GOTD. This software can help me design logos even I know nothing about design.

Why is it always about copyright, this site is about software, not legal issues. Some of you would accuse a pencil manufacturer of copyright infringement because it would let you copy a book.

Installed it, got the key right away, had to agree to receive all their promotions. I entered the key I received and got an error 9 - call support. I don't have the time to untangle all of this so I uninstalled it. Now I have to see if I can cancel all their promos.
Not worth downloading wit all these problems.

This is one time use software, after you design the logo, which will look like 5 years old did it, what will you do with the software, design another logo every few days or toss it in the recycle bin?

For that purpose you can use any photo editing software or design one online for free, there are hundreds of such places (just search for free logo designs).

Funny that so many people complain about the email. It is free and only takes a couple of minutes to make a secondary email to use for offers like this. Everyone should have an email in addition to their main email. Lots availble: gmail, hotmail, yahoo ... all for F.R.E.E.

Warning: Dudes, Be careful taking Giovanni's recommendations! I've been burned 3 times. Yeah, I know.....fool me once..blah, blah. He
seems so sincere! DVD Slideshow GUI really hosed my system. Installation hung on one of the included package installs. Couldn't
kill the processes. After re-booting the install folder's UAC control was messed up. System restore from the same userid resulted in a nastygram stating there were no restore files. Re-booting did not present the "safe boot" screen. Luckily, system restore from an Admin ID worked. Remember the song: "Smiling faces.....". Time for another "vacation" Giovanni! Also, from the WHO song: "Won't get fooled again"!

Seems like a fairly decent program for what it is. Easy to use and quick. Glad to hear from the 'copywrite whiners' already, you guys should all get together and start a class action against everybody else. Not that hard to set up another email account just for registrations if you're worried about spam. And (#6)...what the hell are you on?

Hi, I'm sure I'm not the only one getting slightly confused by "versions" of this Giveaway. Yes, we have established that Sothink Logo Maker offered here today is "Basic", although the Title on this GAOTD omits that fact(!?), but by clicking on links to Homepage to see differences between this one and Pro - you'll see 2 Features in Basic against 8 in Pro, and then on link provided by Sothink to compare versions - you'll see 3 Features in Basic against 17 in Pro.. AND!! if you click on link to Upgrade to Pro (with 20% discount today) - you'll come across 2 Features in "Free Version"(??) against 11 in Pro..

Is there Free version at all? Why would you be interested in 2-featured (or is it 3..) paid version, charging normally all of..$35.00 for Basic - when Sothink cannot make their minds up what's in the Bundle for Your money! I think Fubar has a much better idea Today!:)

Many with an interest in graphic design, would find an imaginative use for this program. The application seems to be template-driven; making it an easy-to-grasp package for beginners and a time-saving resource for professionals in a hurry. At the very least, designs put together with today's giveaway can be exported to Presentation software and serve as a supplement to clipart.
I'm still waiting for the registration code, tho.

P.S .... The first email arrives "immediately" confirming a subscription to their mailing list.... The second email (with the key) seems somewhat delayed, and yet, I am sure, ALL the keys are identical for this offer, so that email should arrive "immediately" too.

Very good program with the necessary tools to quickly create a logo. You can use ready-made designs, but also can create your own designs from scratch logo.
The creative person is a great tool for creating logos, but also other forms of graphics. Using the program is intuitive and very simple. This is a program I was looking for a long time.

I had using this software from early beginning,, but the developers of the software doesn't seems to update the logo database..they have the same logos in every version !

Followed instructions but when I enter code it says error 9.

I'm intrigued but I'm going to pass for a very simple and basic reason -- if their "help" files and instructions are written in the same sloppy pidgin-English as their promo material, trying to make sense of it will drive me crazy. Give your users a break, please, and rent a Business Standard English editor.
