I would suggest just using something like MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision OCX or w/e, anything like that will help you monitor the framerate and temperature of your GPU and CPU. It's not too difficult to tweak things or watch guides on YT on how to adjust your PC's settings and get a bit more performance.

It's a gimmick, you can not get more speed of the CPU because when the temperature of CPU rises it gets slower. I burnt few CPUs in my life time using similar software. Get faster computer is the solution, not the disabling or enabling background drivers or applications.

Yes, a CPU will throttle down if temps start to get close to a dangerous level, but there are all sorts of 3rd party CPU coolers that outperform what comes with the CPU in the box, and the overclocking community uses them.

Smart Game Booster Pro only advertises that it lets you overclock the GPU. If you have a separate graphics card, overclocking the GPU is fairly common -- many models come with the GPU overclocked right out of the box. Overclocking a GPU that's part of the CPU is another story.

It depends... You're not going to get the same performance as a more expensive, higher end CPU, no matter what you do. But you can kill the performance of any CPU if you have too many CPU intensive processes running. It's just common sense that if the CPU is already being used at 25% of its capacity, you only have 75% left to run your games. Smart Game Booster Pro *might* be able to noticeably help performance, or not, by reducing the amount of CPU used by background tasks... not all processes can be stopped, and going from .7 to .5 % usage isn't going to have near the effect of dropping from 10% to 1 or 2 %. It really depends on what processes are running and how much CPU horsepower they drain.

This actually does optimize our computers.
I use this software to optimize my computers, and I'm happy with more responsiveness and smoother performance on demand ... even though all settings can be manually accomplished, somewhat arduously.

All my computers run their hard drives at 88° F or less, all chips at 175° F or less ( I'm working on lowering that, most are closer to 100° F - I don't like the thought of frying anything nearby even if the chip itself survives ).

Virtually identical to FREE WiseCleaner Game Booster ( by Lespeed Technology Ltd ), SmartGamegooster/PCGameBooster is by Chengdu Zhagu Technology Co Ltd, perhaps they cross subcontract, or are the same company.
These do 4 things:
1. Offer system tweaks ( DNS lag and menu speed and such, suggests services and programs to turn off, power settings, such as processor at 100% all the time, no throttling )
2. Checks and maybe updates video and audio drivers.
3. Defrags the hard drive.
4. When gaming, toggles OFF choices of TSRs terminate and stay resident programs that may then free up resources when playing a game, then turning them back on after.
This also has popups that say things like:
- overheating ( but no offering to resolve, such as throttle processor or increase fan speed )
- memory low, click to optimise ( caution, it auto-kills some stuff, like a web browser that is not your default browser ).
I like it, but only use it for tweaks, then kill it.

Yes, by making sure
1 - your system settings are for performance not battery-saving or heat-reducing or pretty,
2 - your video and audio drivers are current,
3 - defragging your drive so the web caches without fragmentation
4 - by killing unnecessary and background programs.
Caution, if you play your online game using a browser that is not your default browser, this may kill that browser, so you have to adjust the default settings to keep your special gaming browser alive.
Everything this does we can also do manually.
This automates all of the above.

I find this program VERY similar to FREE WiseCleaner Game Booster EXCEPT this software adds a few features of overclocking and recording and other refinements.
I wonder if there is a game-boosting programmer's toolkit going around China and we will see more of these look-alikes, each with their own company-specific additions, special features and special benefits.

Yup, I was always shocked - SHOCKED - by kid's fresh out of engineering school who claimed the new chips they were designing can survive at 240° F, totally unaware in their naivete that everything else in the system around that hot chip is getting fried to death.
Supplemental cooling fans, Caig Cromolyn DeOxIt on all connections, and check temp readouts frequently.
But remember IBM interleaving 10 MB MFM drives at 5:1 or 6:1, then Steve Gibson getting the 20 MB Seagate on 2:7 RLL as 30 MB drive interleaved 1:1? We thought we were flying!
Same with some of these game tweaks, where we can smooth a jittery video, and a supplemental cooling fan can keep it all copacetic.
It's all cool.

Installed on a I7-8550U laptop. Installation and registration was simple.(readme file) Added CPUz and ran benchmark. There was no difference in the processor score. Actually, it was a few point lower with Smart Game Booster running. But it does a quick and easy job of stopping running processes so gaming could possibly be better.
