Every day we offer FREE licensed software you’d have to buy otherwise.
Skyfiles 4.0 was available as a giveaway on March 9, 2021!
Skyfiles is a third-party Google Drive client, which allows you to manage Google Drive files with your desktop apps instead of working through a browser.
With Skyfiles, you can edit/view Google Drive files with your local software.
Unlike Google's Backup and Sync, which cost lots of your local storage, Skyfiles is disk-free.

Does this also handle OneDrive or are there similar programs like this?

Mike B,
I can't think of a reason you'd need something like this for OneDrive, at the moment anyway. :)
In win10 you choose what files you want to store locally as well as online, all files are available, whether stored locally or not -- like Skyfiles they're downloaded and synced as needed -- and you can do whatever you want with those files, including working with whatever software you choose.

I installed this from a previous Giveawayoftheday and can highly recommend it if you prefer to edit files stored on Google Drive using a program (spreadsheet, word etc) on your PC. There is a slight time lag when opening a file (presumably as the file downloads to a local drive), the larger the file the greater the lag, but it wouldn't put me off using it.

DComedian, Yes. One Google Account at the time.

I have multiple Google Accounts. Can I use all of these accounts with this program? It is enough for me to access one account at a time.

Hello,
Is Skyfiles able to work with differents Google accounts at the same time like Raidrive ?
Thanks a lot.
Best regards

Spontz, No. But that is not necessary. Because is it meant to edit a file, stored in a Google Drive. You are logged into a Google account, edit a file locally, using your own office software and then the giveaway will store the edited file automatically back into your Google Drive.
If you want to copy a file from one Google account into another, there are other means to do that. The Giveawy is meant to edit a Google Drive file, using your own desktop software, without storing that file locally. And that works fine as I tested with an XLSX-file, editing it with Portable Libre Office Calc from PortableApps.

krypteller, As TK noted last year, you will find all edited files in C:\temp\user\SkyfilesTmpFolder. Every file has its own folder, with a random name like C:\temp\user\SkyfilesTmpFolder\1VE6VNjfj-vQw******zim4dmPA
The final version of the file is stored with its own name. The original file has a random name and no extension. I have edited files of two Google accounts and they are all in their own subfolder of C:\temp\user\SkyfilesTmpFolder. So you do have a local copy, together with its original. After some time, it might be wise to clean C:\temp\user\SkyfilesTmpFolder, if your C-drive has not enough space.

I like it, it really works well, managed to save some files and open some word docs.
