Seems very nice. One thing it's missing that might be essential sometimes is timed recordings, that is, the ability to designate for how long the screen should be recorded.

This worked on a video that another screen capture program failed to record as it only recorded the sound and not the video. I hope to explore it more.
Screencapt is easy to use and does a good job. Top marks to this program.

Good quality recording and simple to use. A slight annoyance recordings appears to play automatically right after stop recording which I don't want to happen. Really should be option in settings do you want videos to play automatically.

Just spotted ADVANCED settings so no prob now locating window to record and to hide window when in the way. Excellent 5/5 for this one.

Having read two negative comments I decided to test the program before dumping it - and good job I did.

I played a music Vid on you tube and recorded the whole screen.
Hit stop and immediately was watching just exactly what had been on the screen a few minutes ago with no apparant loss to the pic or the sound.
Vid only? Tried selected area and it recorded the selected area.
WHILST PLAYING I even reduced the selected area which has the effect of zooming in - NICE!!
Also recorded SOUND only with no issues.
How about WOTS then (Whats On The Screen) - again no issues.
Opened & closed a browser and a few folders - played back the same action without fault.

I DID find however a bit of difficulty in getting the program window to a position that I could get to the controls but that may be my not having discovered how to use it properly BUT this offering is for a LIFETIMES usage and you would be foolish to not download it and KEEP it - as I willbe doing.

Terry E, Thank you for your great comment. I think you deserve more than one +1 (mine LOL).
Question: I reduced the selected area for a zooming effect as you suggested. It works great but I found it's recording the red outline of the selected area. Any suggestions?

I've tried quite a few screen recorders over the years, with mixed results. Perhaps due to my laptop specifications (Ryzen 5 with Vega 8 GPU) many produce videos with poor or choppy framerates that are useless for anything.

However, that doesn't appear the case with today's offering, which produced a very, very good result with excellent framerate, audio etc when tested. Pleasantly surprised with this one and it's a definite keeper, thanks GOTD!

Appears to be a screen capture application which does not capture screen images. Only records video.
