Installed and running very well in Windows 8.1. Will be really useful for some websites which I manage.
And thanks for the lifetime licence.
Some people are really missing out on an excellent piece of software because, as they say, "don't like being spied on".
What exactly are they hiding? I think they need to catch up with the modern world. Are they not using Windows? Are they not using a browser? Do they never use a piece of software which asks for email address, name, etc? All these things get information about you. But so what; it doesn't affect my life at all what these companies know about me.

Sorry to say but..If you are giving away, a free software a life time license, I don't see why we have to sign in to user this software (if it's free for life time) where a 3rd party is a sure thing to collect any info of how you are using this software..I have been with GOTD for several years..But once in a blue moon it a software comes with a life time license..It's too bad that to get life time license, you have to give up your rights for them to know how/what you are using a software...Should be able to use any FREE softwares without anyone spying on you to use your info's for someone else.Because of this,It's been several years is why I have not download/installed their software..But still waiting and looking to hope I can get a free software without been spied on..

Cool features for your product roadmap:
Create HTML5 interfaces and integration for VR, AR, and 360 content. Create animation layer over recorded video content.
Integrate capability for cryptocurrency mining for bandwidth heavy content (some publishers are doing this nowadays).
Integrate GIF and cinemagraph publication export.
Create avatar export alternative to Gravatar.

I have created my account and used the code for the giveaway and it runs satisfactorily when I sign in. No complaints there and thank you for the program. However, my understanding of some of the comments below is that the program will run without the need to sign in every time. When I run it without signing in I get a message displayed that the trial version will expire in 14 days. Should this message be displayed? If so, will 14 days elapse and then I will have to sign in every time? If this message should not appear, how do I get rid of it please?

Reply   |   Comment by emperor  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

emperor,
You should not sign out unless that's not your computer. Why would you sign out anyway? If you don't sign out then you can simply run it next time even when you're offline.
With this account, you can simply use Saola Animate on any computer by just signing in.

Reply   |   Comment by Jerry  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-5)

Jerry, Thank you for the suggestion of not signing out. Please could you clarify for me, when we sign in, are we signed into the program, into your web site, or into both?

Reply   |   Comment by emperor  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+4)

emperor,
You just need to sign in into Saola Animate, not on the web.
When finish using, just close Saola Animate, donot sign out so that you won't need to sign in the next time you start it. And you can still use it when you're offline.
Signing in to the web is only needed when you want to update your account or subscribe to a commercial license.

I followed all instructions, stopped the antivirus, installed, got the lifetime license logged in and tried running from D - did not run. Uninstalled and reinstalled in C -nothing. Running as administrator - nothing. I went to task manager and notices the process kills itself immediately. Any advice?

I install on Win 7 64 bit and Win 10 64 bit.
Unfortunately, the program only displays a frame without content. I've already deactivated the firewall. When I move the mouse over the invisible menu, the menu entries are displayed. For example, the settings dialog is also displayed correctly. Does anyone have any idea what might be the reason for this?

Reply   |   Comment by Gerd  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

Gerd, Maybe a cleanup of your Windows will help(ccleaner).
And is there enough space and access to the storage-map?

Reply   |   Comment by Ootje  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-4)

Ootje, its a nearly fresh system and I don't believe in cleaners or similar programs. There is also enough storage space available. Or what do you mean by storage-map?

Reply   |   Comment by Gerd  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

Gerd, OK, you do not believe in cleaners.
Do you empty the recycle-bin?
Do you empty the folders of Windows with all the residues of earlier use of Windows.
This folders can be found in the explorer with %temp% (type also the %)
The left-overs can complicate/influence a new installation of a new program.
Therefore empty them after a clean start of Windows. And after this operation, do also a restart. Then you will know that Windows will work properly.
Storage-map: the GOTD-program has Preferences:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/tszda5e4x7qr2a9/Preferences.png
Is that map/folders accessible for the program?
And is your Windows capable to handle HTML5 animations ?
I found a site and the second and others works on my Windows:

Saola Animate uses hardware where possible for rendering so it might have problems with some specific hardware. That can be resolved by changing rendering mode.

Ootje, cccleaner was recently hacked and embedded with malware. Using third-party programs to maintain your computer is not very smart and usually results in more problems than solution.

Reply   |   Comment by HavocRock  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+1)

CPU-MD, Not CCleaner was hacked, but the installer of CCleaner was hacked.
And also they think, that only some big companies will get any harm from CCleaner:
https://thehackernews.com/2017/09/ccleaner-malware-hacking.html
And only the installer of the x32-version(v5.33) was hacked, and that version can not be downloaded any more.
So if you use the updated version, nothing will be harmed.

Ootje, It just says it has stopped working, this is before it has finished loading. I checked to see where has been installed on my c drive and for some reason it 's in stalled under Program Files rather than Program Files (x86) where 64 bit programs are usually located. I've tried moving it and repointing the shortcut to the new location, but that hasn't worked. Setup doesn't seem to allow me to choose where it is to be installed, that's is this is the problem.

Reply   |   Comment by PaulW  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

PaulW, "for some reason it 's in stalled under Program Files rather than Program Files (x86) where 64 bit programs are usually located."
There is a mistake in this remark.
In the old days, when Windows was only 32-bits, there was only Program Files for all programs.
When Windows 64-bits was born Program Files is for the installed programs(x64) and Progran files(x86) was for the program's that were only for 32-bits Windows(compatibly-mode):
--
On 64-bit versions of Windows, 64-bit applications install to the Program Files folder. However, 64-bit versions of Windows also support 32-bit programs, and Microsoft doesn’t want 32-bit and 64-bit software getting mixed up in the same place. So, 32-bit programs get installed to the “C:\Program Files (x86)” folder, instead.
-- text from: https://www.howtogeek.com/129178/why-does-64-bit-windows-need-a-separate-
program-files-x86-folder/
Also some info here:
http://www.samlogic.net/articles/32-64-bit-windows-folder-x86-syswow64.htm
"Setup doesn't seem to allow me to choose" In my Windows I did get a screen with a choice:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/261303ctqzhkr1t/Setup.png
I do not see any problem coming from these items. There is something else wrong.
You can try to get a demo from the site of the maker:
https://atomisystems.com/
There could also be something wrong with .js. The files, that are made by this program, have the extension .js, javascript. You can test if this part is ok:
https://www.whatismybrowser.com/detect/is-javascript-enabled
And at comment #24 there is a response of the builder of this program. Send him a mail with screen-shots etc.

Hi Ootje, Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. I misunderstood which folders were 32 bit and which were 64 bit programs. The article was helpful.

I checked my browser using the link you provided and my java script is enabled. I'll have a look at the comment by the builder of the program.

TK, 10000% agree! 95% of the world is rural, and internet access is extremely limited in too many of those locales, and actually as well as too many urban areas for PC users. I am extremely interested in this software, but it's worthless to me if I have to be on line just to use it! The description does not state that net access is necessary, so you've saved me download and uninstall time. TY! Also to the developer, you might say so in the description! That is my suggestion!

Jerry, and what happens if their site is down or out of business or changes domain name? lifetime license means lifetime of the ability to sign in which can be removed with a major version update.... no thanks.
pure offline edition is a must.

Reply   |   Comment by TK  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

TK,
This giveaway license doesn't allow major version upgrade. You can use 1.x versions only.

It's your choice to take it or not. That's what this giveaway offers, take it or ignore it.
It's very simple as that.
I personally think it's already a great bargain when you use it for 1 year, of course just in case you really need a software like this. It's pointless if you don't really need it.

FYI, Atomi Systems has been around for more than 8 years now.

Reply   |   Comment by Jerry  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Jerry, I never said this giveaway license did allow major version upgrades but what if your managment decided that there was a security vulnerability or some other reason that felt legitimate to them and so decided to depretiate the login protocols used by this version and so only a major upgrade version was able to login anymore we would have to either buy a majot upgrade or cease using the giveaway version license since it would revert to a trial either way.

FYI staying in business for 8 years does not mean it will always remain in business under like minded managment, many multi-decade old businesses have failed this century... and others have been bought out by competetors who then dismantled the competition or brought their technology in house and abandoned previous products. I could provide explicit examples if you don't believe me.

TK,
I don't really got your points here. What would you lose if those worst scenarios happen? Did you have to pay something???
If you always go with such worst scenarios then you can also say that the earth may be exploded one day.
Again, if it's not suitable for you then simply ignore it. Why did you bother to comment when it's not about the software features or functionality? BS>

Jerry you said,

"TK,
I don't really got your points here."

ok then the rest of your comment has no relevence and you just descend into a weak personal attack anyway.

Software Functionality of Saola Animate 1.1.0 is limited by the need to be signed in to a 3rd party internet server from time to time and that already is not always possible and cannot always be assured to always be possible in all scenarios. Therefore it is an undesirable software feature! As I said in my original comment the truth of it remains regardless of your remonstrations.

It is a shame it is 64 bit software only, I am sure they could build a 32-bit version if they were so inclined, it is VERY unlikely this tool needs greater than 2Gbytes of allocated working set memory to function, and if it does .... who taught the programer how to program so badly?

Not sure this is lifetime. It says 30 days trial and subscription plan. Which is it, the former or the latter?

Rick Woodbury, the price quoted in the information panel is $99.00 which is the lifetime license as shown on the https://app.atomisystems.com/ page. And stated in bold font in the description above.

Rick Woodbury,

You just need to follow the directions in the readme.txt file closely. It works. You need to go to a couple of different webpages listed.

Michael, Your x86 pc may accept x64 software. There is no harm in trying...will not harm your system. This is how I managed to "discover" my pc.

aba, in what universe will true 64-bit executable run directly under a 32-bit version of windows... It requires a 64-bit shell in a 64-bit operating system to load and run a 64-bit executable, you should have "discovered" that!

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x86 32-bit and I downloaded and tried to install this and I get an error box proclaiming this is for a 64-bit operating system, why wasn't this included in the program description if it wasn't going to work for 32 bit systems, disappointed in this product !

haxer, you should read the system requirements before downloading:
System Requirements:
Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8/ 7/ (64-bit only)

alireza,
Gaotd has used wrappers from day one.

Reply   |   Comment by Basheer  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

Basheer , NOT true sometimes the vendor requests that no wrapper is used and then the unwrapped installer is included in the zip bundle with the readme.txt file and other times the installer is unwrapped and there is a wrapped activate.exe/gcd combination.

Reply   |   Comment by TK  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

alireza, yes the wrapper is used with this giveaway, if you cannot get it to work on your system you could also try downloading the unwrapped installer from the vendors download page and following the activation process in the giveaway bundles readme.txt it *may* accept the giveaway license since the description implies the lifetime license may be valid for minor version updates by saying no major version updates included, therefore this installer should not be a special giveaway build, of course this suggestion comes with no garantees except it won't work on a 32-bit system.
