Installed it. Ran it. There are already 4 or 5 RSS engines that give errors and in 1 case a scripting error.
The problem with this kind of software is that the RSS search engine addresses need to be updated at least every month or so, without updates half of the sites will be wrong in 6 months time...

I was considering purchasing this software a couple weeks ago. If you miss out on the software, I have a page with links to 30 blog RSS feed directories that you can submit to without registration or reciprocal links. You can submit to all 30 in 15 - 30 minutes depending on how fast you are.

It worked fine for me, no problem with install, registration or running the app. I do agree though that it is really a "simple" piece of software, something a kid could have put together and frankly most people don't have much use for it. Even if you have an RSS feed. How someone can charge money for something like this beyond me. But, it worked. I'm running Win XP pro multi-language edition 2001.

#18 - what's bugging you today?!

#16 rightly asks for a re-run of Sticky Password. Have you tried Sticky Password yourself. It's a brilliant password manager - works on your PC and / or on a USB flash drive.

Your quote is way out of order - some might say that you have made yourself the subject of your own quote.

Have a nice day.

Only 64 directories in its database? In that case, I think building an Excel spreadsheet of these addresses and manually submitting makes better sense.

I did a Google search on "RSS Directories" and came up with a couple of sites with directory addresses that cover RSS feeds AND blog directories. One of them offers over 250 directories, with brief descriptions. Add these addresses into an Excel spreadsheet, while time consuming, would give one more direct control.

I gave it a try... seemed to submit my RSS feed to the directories with only 5 failures (expected) but how do you know if the site is accepted?

Till that is fixed you can see a few month old version of the website by going to: http://web.archive.org/web/20070526234856/http://www.extralabs.net/

Program doesn't work (isn't starting) with my installation of Windows Vista Ultimate x64. Not in compatibility mode nor with deactivated DEP (Data Execution Prevention) even Windows closes application because of DEP... and I won't deactivate the whole DEP-dingbat because of one little app.

Mixed review here, just from downloading, installing, and looking at it.

First, when you go to install accept the default for unzipping it. Don't change that, otherwise it will not be able to install itself. If you want the actual program in another directory then wait till the actual install screen comes up, not the self-extracting zip screen.

#3 - rdns. Yes, same thing, Error 403 - forbidden, access denied. I don't think it will be hard to figure out, just look at the program description ;) . Same results when hitting the home button. Most likely the site is down as I tried to go tho there home page, and again, same thing.

#2 - Globi Chat. Under the sites tab it lists 64 RSS directories. You can figure out the web sites from that, and google the name if need be. Then visit the web sites, check their policies, and if you still fell uncomfortable about submitting to a site then just remove a check mark from next to the directory's name.

I'll try the program a little latter, time for some shut eye. Night folks.

Hmm interesting software, I can't justify its price because this sort of technique is most often used by SEO spammers and in most cases without the permission of the directories (hence why some use capatcha to twart such attempts).

If you want greater exposure for your feed you can give this a try, but be warned that spammers have saturated the usage of such programs and may not be all that helpful.

I'm going to be putting a poll so that people can submit suggestions/ideas on what they want, which I will being developing and possibly offering for free hopefully through GOTD.
