Qiling Fast Cache Standard 3.1 was available as a giveaway on November 25, 2025!
QILING Fast Cache can improve overall system performance. The temporary files frequently accessed by system or other application, and the read the RAM memory speeds far greater than the real hard disk, so caching frequently accessed data into RAM significantly improves the speed at which data is read. Additional hard disk, and SSD storage medium has its read and write times limit, so QILING Fast Cache improves the life of a real hard disk too.
Windows 7/ 8/ 8.1/ 10/ 11; Disk Space: A minimum of 1GB of available space on the hard disk; CPU: 1GHz processor or faster; RAM: equal or larger than 1GB

How is this different from something like the open source IMDisk RAM disk, which is what I currently use to cache Windows TEMP files and browser caches?

Tried this on another giveaway, same version. The system requirements on their website is as follows:
"System: Windows 11/10/8/8.1/7/Vista/XP System: Server 2019/2016/2012/2008/2003 etc"
I tried it on my patched 32bit Vista SP2+ server with 8GBytes of RAM and initially it all looked good with system drive sometimes going to sleep due to extended periods of physical inactivity... which never normally happens as Vista always has some disk activity going on or about to happen.. so I left it to get on with it and after a few hours I remote desktoped back into into and it was fresh login, the machine had spontaneously rebooted which it NEVER normally does. I had to uninstall QFCS and clean up after it to get back a stable server environment. Whether this is because the program is unstable accessing PXE memory or some other bug I don't known but it reduced system stability in my case so I won't be trying it again on the same stable and fully patched up till November 2025 security patches machine.

Windows already caches all of its disks. How does this improve that?

I've been a fan of Cacheman (similar product) for years but it seems to be lagging behind lately, so this is what i have been waiting for. The only reason i was still keeping Cacheman was that it has a nice taskbar display of CPU and Memory usage. Hopefully this has something comparable or an alternate can be recommended. Thanks, really appreciate this!

You might want to consider this mature alternative by Romex Software, "PrimoCache":
https://www.romexsoftware.com/en-us/primo-cache/index.html
Lots of explanatory/scenario info that may also apply to settings chosen for today's QILING Fast Cache or Cacheman.
In spite of the introduction of SSD vs. spinning disk technology for which it was initially developed, PrimoCache still has advantages for reducing the "wear" of SSD read/write cycles and extending its lifetime.

Example: Reduce Wear on Solid-State Drives by Defer-Write

It is possible that such a function may also be part of QILING Fast Cache or Cacheman.

Many thanks about the GOTD! :)
I tried it and it misses some futures, like Priority Catch which disk, might be somebody wants to record it to see the results after using a catch demanding software.
And when the window is closed, does it keep working?
Guess so...?
PS: Have a happy work week, weekend & stay healthy! :)
