OK. I have been amember of GATD since the beginning..Most frugal (cheap) {guy} you will ever meet lol..Love the fact that the software being GIVEN AWAY is ABSOLUTELY FREE (other than the fact that you will be asked to jump through hoops on some software offered...lol)
2.To register this program you will be asked for an email address during the installation. In my experience, many times an email does not always arrive immediately. It would be much better to have the key prior to the installation. I am not able to turn on my Wondershare Time Freeze at the moment but I may try it later. Thank you GOTD team and Badosoft.
I uninstalled/installed this software again. The “Anonymous Browser” remained in the not working beta state.

I installed without incident. Even the beta version of the browser worked for me. Unfortunately, "beta" is the key word. It works for me now, and doesn't for others. Next month, the reverse may be true.
Must say I don't like giving my email, but let's face it, if they spam me, I'll set a rule on my email to send their emails strait to the recycle bin.
All in all, I have no real use for this software. I just wanted to see what it was.
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 on a 3.2Ghz x4 Phenom with 4GB RAM + 2GB video RAM.

As an online marketer, I couldn't agree more with Andy (#26), despite the fact that he's received a number of "thumbs-down" votes. As a marketer, the most important communication you'll have with your (potential) customers is the FIRST one, usually the "sales copy" contained on your sales page. The text from the company contained in comment #1 is really equal in importance, since it creates the all-important "first impression" in the minds of people who have had no experience in dealing with you or your company (and in the case of many software developers, they are often one and the same!).Having said that, I also understand that to many developers, English is not their primary language. However, if you're trying to market your product to an audience whose primary language IS English, it becomes critical to craft your communications as "perfectly" as possible so that your audience isn't "put off" by what THEY perceive as a lack of command of the English language (regardless of whether that's a fair correlation to make or not).To put things as simply as possible, you could have the absolute BEST software product in the world for its type, but if you're not able to get - and HOLD - the attention of people in your target market, by communicating with them in an effective and persuasive manner, then you're going to have a difficult uphill battle ahead of you, and that difficulty will be reflected in your sales numbers.I offer the above criticism without any malicious intent. I only wished to convey to the developer the importance of being able to communicate effectively with people in their target market. Since the product being offered here involves matters of anonymity and security, gaining the TRUST of your customers that their identity will not be compromised is of UTMOST importance, and trust is something that's difficult to attain but quite easy to lose!As far as "beta" software being offered on this site, I have no problem with that as long as the software is clearly identified as being a "work in progress," and I would assume that in such instances the people who accept the role of "beta-testers" would perhaps be compensated over time with a full working copy of the "finished" product.Stepping down now, fully expecting the "thumbs down" counter associated with this comment to start increasing as the deadline approaches to the end of this giveaway...

I was excited to try an IP hiding program, but since I've been waiting over 2 hrs. for a key (after applying twice with a legitimate email address)I began reading to find out if others had the same problem.

I opted out of the privacy browser because, according to Eulalyzer, it was "extremely high" in the lack of privacy department. Who would have thought, for a privacy program :) I also chickened out after reading the kinds of problems people were having. I just repaired my machine from frequent BSOD's from some unhappy program, so I wasn't about to go there again in any hurry! I think I'll wait until this company has a chance to get itself together properly. Hopefully, it will.

Thank you all for your valuable input!

I have read all the comments about this product, and decided there is too much RISK involved.

Instead of selling this, why don't you solicit experienced SW Testers from our group to, in fact test it, before you put a version number on it!!!

I would be very interested in TESTING some or all of these products, as I have 20+ years of SW testing experience. For my efforts, you could provide a valid key for the products I would most likely use.

I'm sure Karl, and others, would appreciate the opportunity as well.

Just a suggestion. My email is included in all comments made to GoTD.

No, I did not install this product even into virtual machines, of which I DO test other products.

Obviously FREE version enables you to surf the web more slowly, but it's a very good software.

Why do people like you jump to wrong conclusions without actually trying any sw or even read the blurb?

For anonymous surfing, Tor works - too well for the government! - but it's slow.

Likewise, Jon Doe works, but without a paid account, that's slow too.

Unless you spend money, I haven't found a solution that meets an acceptable surfing speed.

I'm not even going to try this software.

"make sure to backup your files before you encrypt it. Save your important files to usb stick or an DVD."

Yeah, right!

The interface window is too small and not resizeable as well as being dark. This makes it difficult to read properly without peering closely at the screen or magnifying it, and consequently I have no wish to continue with this so it has now been uninstalled. Why do developers often create interfaces that cannot be resized ? I really do fail to understand such a fundamental omission.

@22. It's free for 3 days :-).. And with most software offered here. It's "free" for up to a year. After that, your PC explodes ;-)

Not hearing many people mention TOR or even for on the fly, Hidemyass.com. What would be nice if programs like this got serious and would encrypt your data from the moment it leaves the keyboard. Lots of variables I know but still, the network spooks can still see everything you key in, even if it's encrypted once it leaves the email/web servers. Even better.. a portable version would be worth paying for. Just sayin..

IE has Private Browsing mode.
Chrome has Incognito Window.
Both are FREE.

I do not even bother. Who cares? Only the paranoid imagine that others want to find out what they browsed. Hey, the world has 7.12 Billion people. And ordinary folks are not the President of the United States or the Queen of UK. No one is interested in what you browsed. Don't flatter ourselves. We are not that important.

Developer's intro is generally a good idea, GAoD is advised to encourage it.

In this particular case though, it brings to mind the apt definition:

Debugging: The process of uncovering flaws by packaging pre-release software as finished product, then waiting for irate customers to report problems.

I'd add that security software that seems insecure is a contradiction in terms.

Consequently, my well meant advice to the Developer is:
- To avoid creating poor reputation, do necessary work before offering the product, even for free. The above feedback indicates that this is required.
- Proper development work would enable you to express more confidence in your product. If you don't trust it, you can't expect users to do so.
- Do not ask people to disable their protection or contact their AV developer. Very few, if any, are prepared to do either.
- Unnecessarily insisting on a permanent email creates further suspicion.
- Preferably change the company's name to something better sounding than Bad-o-soft.

Looking forward to seeing this otherwise promising product back at GAoD in better marketable condition.

It's ironic that a "privacy" program comes requires a valid e-mail address (throwaway or minutes mails wont work) for registration.

Why hasn't the NSA thought of this?

i used one of its folder protector, that would allow the user to hide any folder with a password.I had done everything right, later somehow, it failed to unprotect that folder and i had to msg to the customer service for advice. It couldn't be undone, the folder remained vanished even after i removed the program.
So , i performed a system restore and was able to view the unprotected folder again.
I havn't tested its other features like hiding the IP or protecting the passwords etc etc. But that single feature was enough of a headache for me. So i had to uninstall it. But i can't speak for the other things it was made for and nor can i advice to other people.

But stay away form the folder protector, if not done properly there is no going back. Its a little robust for my taste.
I am downloading this, but thank you GAOTD anyway.

#1:

If preserving privacy and anonymity is the main goal of your software, you should not collect any email at all.

Now, I've got a few remaks.

"WARNING: The encryption process could get interrupt."

- That deserves a thoroughful explanation. Why does it happen? If it happens once, will it happen again?
OTOH, does the decryption process work all the time, flawlessly (I mean 100.0%, not 99.999999999999999..99%)?

"Please note that due the high amount of tickets we receive daily [...]"

- Badasoft, come back here when you pass the alpha stage of your software.

"[...] answers can take up to 72 hours. Please also note that we cannot answer to any individual questions!"

- At first, I understood this: not only it takes a very long time to get an answer, but I won't get it anyway. Please, explain what is an "individual question", so I can get an answer to a well formed question (providing examples would be nice).

"[...] feel free to open a ticket on http://www.badosoft.com/support."

- The link leads to a page starting with "Dear visitor! Our live support chat is in general available Mo - FR from 10:00 - 17:00 CET (Central European Time)[...]". CET??? How does it relate to UTC or GMT? GOTD user, before waking up at 3 AM (local time), ask yourself what "general" means, lol.

- On the support page, the link "Get support for Privacy Optimizer" leads to a FAQ. For any question (and ticket, of course), clicking on "Submit a ticket" is the way to go. Not very intuitive.

IP Hider + Password Manager + Privacy Cleaner + Web Protection, all in one single amazing package (==> Big PLUS: no need to install multiple software on your desktop).

So a tool like this is definitely a Godsend.

I’ve just tried a couple of its features with no hassle so far!

But there is a problem here...

Since all passwords and account details are stored within Privacy Optimizer, what happens if we lose the GAOTD key due to a PC crash?

So my suggestion is to switch to FREE programs...

To protect your privacy and securely delete files & folders for FREE:

* (Portable) Privazer
http://www.privazer.com

To keep your important information like passwords, credit card data in a secure place for FREE:

http://lastpass.com/features_free.ph
http://pwsafe.org

To hide your passwords and credit card data from keyloggers, spies, and hackers like a PRO for FREE:

http://www.oxynger.com (==> Great FREE APP almost nobody out there is aware of)

And finally to surf anonymously on the web for FREE:

http://ultrasurf.us
https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en
http://www.digi77.com/stealth-walker-vpn (==> VPN + TOR + DNS encryption)

Just to mention a few one...

FREE & ALWAYS UPDATABLE APPS without any KEY ACTIVATION hassle !!

Enjoy!! ^_^

I agree with #5: if you are selling a product, you get the same treatment as any other product available on the market, "version 1.1" does not mean "can be of low quality; therefore be gentle with reviews".

Additionally, the emphasis on collecting a valid e-mail keeps me from being interested; I prefer to not opt in rather than hope I can opt out later.

Installed on Win7 Ultimate. 64 bit machine - Corrupt browser, re-install. Glad I created a restore point before installation - Revo uninstaller found bits and pieces all over my registry - places that should not have been affected by this Progrm. Sloppy or Malicious? Both? -- Waste of time and could be dangerous.

Note that Karl's very good review, as usual, has been voted way thumbs down, unusual. Attempt to manipulate ratings by Badosoft?

Uninstalled BAD -- O --soft. Well named. Stay away.

The problem with using programs that offer to hide your IP, is that your favorite web sites may not function without it. This is especially true of sites that sell products and services. To protect against fraud, they record your IP. If they can't have that, you aren't doing the transaction.

Installed on Win 7 okay. Decided to try the anonymous browser. After installation browser wouldn't start because program was 'corrupt'. Then the fun started: couldn't find anonymous browser in control panel and even Your Uninstaller didn't show it. Had to uninstall whole program instead. Then had to do system restore because Hola unblocker add-on in Waterfox wouldn't load.
Sum up: Don't bother. Changes internet settings and causes some confusion - at least it confused me.

As soon as I see a program of this type, that is, a program that "Protects" data/files/folders I begin to wonder what would happen if the program fails and if so can I get back my data.

Windows isn't exactly known for its stability, and so in my opinion a freeware version that allows recovery is imperative, I didn't see one on their website and so I'll pass on today's offer.

Bear in mind that if you protect, encrypt data a recovery strategy should be implemented beforehand.

Installed the long way and registered without problems on a Win 8.1.2 Pro 64 bit system.

Only after receiving the key, the initial software downloads the installation files. You can add a beta software "Anonymous Browser" from Khrona LLC, Houston Texas.

A company without name and address:

Software and Hardware professionals from Austria and Croatia were occasionally working together on different projects and decided to invest their knowledge and experience in a Software development consortium called Badosoft.

Upon start a crowded dark and not resizable window opens. The start is not very good:

I wanted to test the "Anonymous Browser" - yes it' really beta...

http://www1.xup.to/exec/ximg.php?fid=18655306

The AnonymousBrowser.exe is from July 2013 and still beta???

With the next button you can change "Windows privacy" settings, than there is a file shredder and a folder protector, which I didn't test.
And you can be sure, that I will never test a credit card manager with real data from an unknown company. Never!

I uninstalled/installed this software again. The "Anonymous Browser" remained in the not working beta state.

Hide your IP more comfortably
Fix lag in online games
Stop unwanted disconnects
Create your own speed test server
Integrated privacy web browser
In my case : Not working...

Uninstalled via reboot.
