Turn off your automatic updates of this app... As stated above, if you update your registered version will go away. 3 days after it was sent out on GAOTD... Either buggy as hell or a really bad marketing ploy....

It works get. The only thing negative is the fact that it asked if you want to download the most current version. I did and now they want money.

#I had the same exact issue, it will only allow me the trial version...

:(

I am running Windows Vista and the program would not install at all until I manully created a file for it in my programs list. After creating such, it installed and ran fine.

It wanted to update so I let it and it wiped out the free version from GAOTD with the same version with a 30 day trial. DON’T UPDATE!!!
I have about 15min before the trial is over, so this is cutting pretty close.

It has created a few problems which I am trying to fix, Its scheduler has come up double on me and my system seems to be running a bit strange.

I don't normally post comments for the GOTD download but I felt that I should today. First, I appreciate any company that makes their product available for free, trial or via GOTD. Thank you Elcor.

The installation went smooth with no problems on my Windows XP PC. I wasn't really sure what this utility offered based on the product name and lengthy explanation. Perhaps Registry Booster would have been more appropriate but maybe that name was already taken. After running the various cleanups and optimizations I did not experience any problems with my system. I always am a bit scared when a registry utility program changes my registry. I noticed a very slight increase in speed. This may be because I use CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/) a freeware program to do some of what Premium Booster does.

I generally would recommend this product with one very strong word of warning and recommendation to Elcor. The GUI (Graphical User Interface) in its attempt to make things look simple has actually made things harder to navigate. For one thing there is no maximize button so I was only able to see 3 out of 600+ registry errors. It would be impossible for me to review the issues that are going to be corrected by clicking through 3 at a time. Also, I accidently didn't get my registry backed up because of the confusing and non-standard "continue to next step" and "start backup" button placement. I'm glad that I didn't need to restore my registry. The developers may want to look at CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/), a freeware yet much more professionally looking and easier to use, user interface.

Except for a frustrating user interface I would recommend this product and thank Elcor for its free use.

It screw up my PC and now I have to format my hard disk because I just can't do anything, neither can access to WinXP safe mode... totally bad. It give mes the STOP: ERROR 0x000000BE, so I just can't log in, and as I said, neither in safe mode. Tried to repair windows but problem persists. I think it screw up a very important WinXP file.

I will never downloas soft from this company again. I'm, by the way, an experienced internet/PC user, son it's not that I'm just a lazy or a silly guy... this program sucks.

I think that this is a great program!! My computer was barely running despite my best efforts and another program to keep it "clean" and running. I installed the Premium Booster and a few clicks later, everything is working great! Defrag took 2 minutes instead of hours and I found registry errors the other program missed. This is excellent! Thanks for offering this program, GAOTD!!

Having downloaded and installed several GAOTD offerings in the past, I know how to open the downloads, run activate.exe, and install them, so that's not the problem. However, activate.exe won't run. The error message says it's either corrupted, already running as part of another programme, or needs to be re-downloaded. I deleted the entire first download of this programme, redownloaded it, and same thing again. After seeing the reports of a trojan and other problems, I'm calling it quits and won't be installing it, even if I could get a working version of activate.exe. I use CCleaner, mentioned by several others, and also use Advanced Windows Care Pro. The latter has worked well, but did need some fine-tuning because it wanted to change things I wanted to keep. Maybe my computer will run infinitesmally faster if there are no shadows under the menus, but I can live with that terrible performance hit. Other than that kind of thing, it does a great job now it's fine-tuned to ignore a few things. I still use v3 of System Mechanic. I tried v5, but it had a terrible UI that was not intuitive and it made all kinds of changes I didn't want to have made, at least not with clearly showing what they were before they were actually put into effect. I uninstalled System Mechanic v5 and went back to v3.8 and it's doing a good job. (I use WinXP SP2.) After my experience with v5, I'm not in any rush to try the latest. (I thin v7 just came out.)

I was looking forward to trying Premium Booster, but I'll skip this one. Thanks anyway, GAOTD. Despite all the people who bitch as if they were paying high prices, the majority of us do appreciate the service you provide. If a particular day's programme isn't of interest, I skip it, but a few people with no class and far too much free time feel compelled to be crybabies about it. They must have been hell to live with on Xmas Day because I'm sure they never got the toys they demanded from Santa.

Questionable capabilities, still not sure what it's supposed to do be sides backup and compress the registry. Clicked on the "Update" button, it then downloaded and installeed the updates...the problem "NOW BEGINS", as the update is a NEW Version or Power Boost that requires you to "BUY IT"...I thougt this program was FREE??? I give this program a THUMBS DOWN.

Prior to this program, my computer would always hang upon reboot or start up. I KNEW there were a zillion invalid registry entries but was apprehensive about messing with them. I went for it with Premium Booster and lucked out. I've rebooted and it's like night and day. No more hangs, programs load quickly, everything is smoother. I'll still use Glary memory optimizer (GAOTD awhile ago) since per Premium Booster's FAQ, it's compatible with other optimizers. EXCELLENT giveaway, thanks GAOTD.

I wanted to update my earlier comment, which has not been posted for some reason. Initially I was against this program. I decided to downloaded and install to check it out. I liked the registry degrg. I have other utilities but none to do a defrag. It increased ny Windows by 1%. This program only takes up 6MB of space so I will keep it. If it updates to future versions I think this is a keeper. Only time will tell.

ALERT!! I downloaded, installed and ran this program... I clicked on the Start-Up button... and it identified a number of low/mid level problems... BUT IT ALSO SAID THAT THERE WAS A HIGH LEVEL TROJAN HORSE IN THE PREMIUM BOOSTER PROGRAM ITSELF!! Then the program froze.. twice. Will someone else run this option and see if they get the same results?
Just tried it again.. things work fine 'cept the Start-Up option then the program locks up and is unresponsive....

I downloaded this program, and was immediatly disappointed. I had understood that the program was a program GIVE-AWAY. What I downloaded was a time-limited (30 day) sharewear program that stated ths in the opening screen. I will admit that I am new to your give-away community, and I am forced to ask if this is the norm?

ATTENTION ALL: I know if you look at the startup scheduler it reports that there is a trojan. This is inaccurate. I scanned SCHEDULER.EXE with multiple virus scanners and found that it was 100% safe. The reason it shows that there is a trojan is because some snot-nosed brat decided to leave that comment on their online "Wizard Base". I can assure you that this is not infected.

Also, for that user who said it permanently changes your XP properties (#8), On the "Optimize" tab, SIMPLY CLICK "TURN OFF OPTIMIZATION". Simple as that.

Thanks GOTD for this awesome software

Like #23 I downloaded this program and even ran it but when I tried to register, I could not. I didn't have a registration code.

Help! What kind of permanent good is this program going to do me if it expires in 30 days? In your blurb about Premium Booster 2.2 it states it is a full, registered copy. So how do I register it?

I hate to admit it, because I'm usually quite wary of this kind of program, this one really works for me!

The process was quite scary. I had several crashes and had to make a hard reboot three times, because my system froze. But my system survived the whole process and is a lot faster now.

I'm not sure about the internet settings, however. But internet pages do seem to load faster. The only thing being that I use programmes like Joost, Babelgum and Miro which are p2p based and the settings seem rather low for that kind of program. I'll use TCP-Optimizer to correct that problem if it occurs.

Thanks Elcor Software for the roller coaster ride, luckily things turned out o.k.

I download and unpack without trouble, but the activation key request tells me - after a wait - that is can't connect to GAOTD, and it crashes. I have tried several times. Do you have an issue at GAOTD at present, as all other web sites and mail show that I have no connection issues here?

One result of running the program was that my msn mail wouldn't open. Fortunately I was able to find a fix on the internet to reinstall the required dll. I use ccleaner without a problem and RegistryFix also. I tried the free RegScrub and I couldn't watch YouTube. If I find too many other negatives, I'll run Norton Ghost to restore my system to "Pre-PB" condition

Downloaded, activated and installed just fine. It showed it was registered. Ran it and, interestingly, it found entries in the Registry that supposedly had been removed by my regular Registry Cleaner. It seems to have actually removed them.

You can fix individual problems and skip the rest. To fix problems manually, simply click on the red x and it will fix the entry and change the red x to a green check mark to show it has been fixed. Do this if you only want it to fix certain entries.

I did not have the scheduler problem that others have reported.

Having said all that, I closed the program, then a few minutes later, I launched it again and this time it was NOT registered! What's up with this???? Are we back to trials? I uninstalled it, cleaned out the Registry [why must these programs leave all this behind...and particularly registry cleaners?] and reinstalled it. It will NOT register!!! So much for Premium Booster. I give it a thumbs down for not being able to register it or keep it registered.

Went to their website to check out the program's information. Found a dead link on the "review page". Left a comment and received a very quick response from Nick Nifontov, who had corrected the link.
I downloaded and installed the program. I saved off my current system settings within the program. I'm not sure how this differs from restore points. I then carefully went through each step of the program. Between each step, I did a system restart, to ensure nothing had been harmed. Yer, it did only show a 1% defragmentation. It also found 476 errors on what I thought was a carefully cared for system. I did not use any of the "Optimze" settings, because I am really not sure what this section means. When I got to the "Startup" section, I also encountered the message that program's scheduler contained a virus. I emailed Nick Nifontov again, and received the following reply "Thanks for your bug report.

This false alarm. Sorry for this stupid bug in current build. We'll asap fix it in next build."
Hope this helps!
