Okay, it installs flawlessly. But where in blazes have they hidden the registration dialogue in which to enter the registration key. It's not in Help. It's not in Options. I cannot find it anywhere.

I haven't found it either. When I click on the ? (Help) and then "Register" on the left column, it bring up the dialog that I must buy the program and register it within 15 days. There is no place that I've found to enter the license code.

Your article has educated me. The other day I send 3000+ pictures from my vacation with Binfer. No Kidding. It’s a amazing tool for sending pictures with ease. A nice photo sharing tool to add to the list.

I downloaded this app because it seemed to offer a lot more than just collages. It installed and works fine on my Windows 7 laptop. I tried a calendar and a greeting card as well as a couple of normal collages. I stumbled a bit on getting photos cropped, sized, moved, etc, but it was mostly a user issue until I caught on. All worked fine and I'll probably keep the software. I make a lot of collages that hold dozens of photos and I'll probably continue to use PhotoSpills for those.
Although this appears to be good software, $50 seems really expensive?? I think I saw a $30 price on their web site (?) but even that might be high for what the software does.

I just wonder what is inside the 111MB download when the actual program is less then 50MB?
These days you can not be to careful when downloading encrypted, binary or compressed files from the web.

Thanks GOTD Team and Pearl Mountain Software. Seems likes we are kind of left guessing is this Standard or Pro? But after installing and registering, it is a Standard Version Personal License, but i could not find a comparison page.
The standard version only allows me to produce 1 page projects. This kind of makes the comic book template redundant to me.
Just for fun, I clicked on "Download more Templates" it takes you http://www.picturecollagesoftware.com/resources/addon-resources.html But it seems that the template packs are only for the Pro version.
Sorry, but today's GOTD Collage Maker 4.1.2 is not for me. Will look at Jahid's alt. suggestions.

You should be able to use the template for Standard version.
Even if the software is described as "Pro", after giveaway installation it is a standard version.
The Pro is just an attention grabber for marketing purpose.

Hi - Tom here - (physical dual boot - Win 8.1 & 10 TP) I too was a little deflated when I found this was just the 'standard' edition - you would hope they would want to "improve" their BEST products & then take away from that to make their "standard" version (at $39.90 - not on my budget & not recommended to my family for a gift - sry). @ ric - The Pro templates install to a different location and are not recognized, I guess they want us to upgrade to Pro.
Picture Collage Maker does NOT support Shape Object/Color Frame/Multiple Pages Project/Download add-on templates.
My 2 cents, this may of been a keeper for most if perhaps a Pro version giveaway could of been sponsored by Pearl Mountain.
Please, don't get me wrong, i appreciate very much what the GOTD Team/Developers do and the giveaways they offer us.

Installed and registered on Win7 Service Pack 1 with a few minor hiccups, it took a couple tries to register as was showing up as a trial version for the first couple attempts at running the program.
Program opens offering the user a couple quick options then u r off and running.
does what it claims smoothly and accurately, a program your Kids will enjoy and no doubt many adults also.

Collageit does what is suppose to do...Make a collage of photo. I have used it since last year. Very simple, has features to line up the picture...Very easy and fast! I took pixs at a noontime family event, use Collageit, went to CVS to make large prints, and shared them at the picnic lunch about an hour later. Everyone was impressed. Great program!

Attention with http://freepicturesolutions.com/free-collage-maker.html (above as Free Collage Maker) as my AVG warned me about an unwanted application downloader and removed the threat, thus whatever was downloaded (ca. 266KB) from the site when clicking the download button. Thus no software to install. If your virus software does not warn you, install it if you are willing to take the risk. I wish people would not post links to softwares which they did not try themselves first, just to impress others as if they are experts at finding freebies.

'Free Collage Maker' is an Ad-supported program. It basically includes third-party components or services which may not be related to the main program's functionality. Probably that's the reason for getting alert by AVG as the setup is PUP downloader.
But I didn't see any such alert on my system during the installation process few months ago.

Pearl Mountain Picture Collage Maker 4.1.2 is nothing but a clone of Amoyshare Photo Collage Maker 4.1.2 offered here last November 21st (or vice versa). You can read my comment there (post 9) about backgrounds, frames etc. usable in both programs.

Installed and registered without problems on a Win 8.1.3 Pro 64 bit system. A clean install.

The resource page (http://www.pearlmountainsoft.com/resource/) gives useful hints. The link leads to the "Pro" version, it installs a "standard" version.
Upon start an unneded splash screen to select different option, leads to the main window.
I selected a template ... Drag&Drop of pictures did not work on my computer:

The images should be placed in the free fields (drag photo here) and not stacked in the upper left corner. Tried twice - could not create a working collage.
Uninstalled via reboot.

Sorry Karl, you might have made a mistake somewhere somehow, here's what I did using the same template as yours, what you need to do is holding the picture with the right button of your mouse and release it exactly on top of the wordings "Drop Photo Here" and the picture will place and accommodate itself just fine like you see on the sample here, also notice the windows application title, it says Picture Collage Maker Pro, just to add to the general findings and participation here.

I have to agree with Karl on this one. Installed on Win 8.1 fine but it is the *standard* version, not pro. Drag and drop does not work. The only way to get the photos in the frames is to double click on the frame which gives an open file dialog box. Manny, what OS are you using?
