Registered with a key received on Cyberlinks site, but the program shows version and SR number and it licensed to Microsoft ,not to GOTD as usual .

Strange When i start Program i get a message Box Saying PhotoDirector was not Activated because a Connection to the activation Server could not be established. Check your internet connection and then try again. You hace 30 day(s) left to use PhotoDirector without online activation. ??? Yet i installed and put in License Key and when checked in the About, it shows my SR number, shows Licenced to Mark. A tab shows Register so i registered, Just in case.
BUT NO WHERE i can Find to activate to get rid of start up grey box that States not activated and 30 day limit??
so is my PhotoDirector Licensed, Activated or What!!! i will uninstall and Reinstall but i bet same thing will happen Again. any idea's has anyone else have this Problem?

Unless your a regular Lightroom user (of which I am) you will find many of the features available in this software for free. Having said that, there are also lots of features not available, and considering Adobe Lightroom isn't really that expensive nowadays (V5) then Im suprised Cyberlink didn't offer a limited V7 instead of this. All said and done, for free it actually packs quite a punch but still no match if you want to start paying for anything that does the work from ground up using RAW.

PhotoDirector 6 Deluxe is a decent product if you know what your doing. Your getting an older product, but it still does a great job and has enough features for most people. ;)

If you didn't trial this same giveaway in January, then you may wish to consider if its massive 246MB download is really that necessary for an Adobe Lightroom me-too product which in "deluxe" guise is bloated with stuff from more expensive version(s) but from which you're locked out, and which isn't really on a par with photo editing software you can generally get free of charge from the manufacturer of your own camera anyway.
Worth a look, I guess, if you're curious and can afford the time, and maybe even the possible cost, of the download of this obsolete product, just so long as you realise that Cyberlink's me-too LightRoom GUI is, in this 'DeLuxe' edition, hoopla in the service of selling-up rather than evidence of ability.

DL'd and installed registered without issues. This is an old bare bones version, and I uninstalled. For an EXCELLENT free editor try Photoscape:

Mike OD, Just be extremely cautious as to where you download Photoscape from, the latest versions were loaded with hidden background tasks ( I use that broadly). It appears those bad downloads have destroyed the previously excellent software as has Freemake to theirs.

I had version 3 of this product several years ago, and I really liked it. Checking around the internet, I see that more recent versions, 5 6 and 7, generally get four stars in reviews. So I will download this. Much thanks Cyberlink and GOTD.
