Well, it's been about 2 weeks. Still waiting for my activation code. Am I the only one??

I'm still waiting for the activate code. Did they run out of electrons? Sent them an email - no response. Too bad. The program is interesting. Only problem so far is the browser slowed to a crawl when scanning one of my folders. No problem with other folders. No idea why. However, with such a lack of support, I can't recommend buying it.

The following day I actually got a letter with the codes from Franzis. I had been waiting 7 hours yesterday, then gave up. Today I they came through after 2 pm. So I applied the Registration code and unique ID code, and the program opened up. Then one had to enter the long Registration code into the program again to get it to activate. That's were all goes wrong again. The program gives "Incorrect Registration number", or words to that effect. In the letter from Franzis was email address fagen@franzis for any registrtion problems. I wrote them twice asking for help. I told them I made sure my AV, and other spyware type programs were off. Also l copy and pasted directly from his letter to the program, and made sure no extra spaces were before or after the code. Tried several times then program tells me "No longer in trial mode. Too many activation's. Buy Now". I also sent him a screen shot of exactly what I entered. Not once did they reply. Now I will not buy from them at all. Imagine paying over $100.00 for a program and the reg code is not accepted and support ignores you! A complete waste of time on two days. Uninstalled!

Has anyone gotten their code yet?

It's really disheartening to see what has happened in these comments, I see a lot of people had problems with registering and are furious they have to wait a few days to get a serial code. You're still getting it for free! The way people rant on you'd think you'd spent vast amounts of money and weren't going to get your goods. Obviously the download was more popular than they thought, give them a break.

What disgusted me is that some people have marked a comment as not useful, when others downloaded and installed without problems and left positive comments. Are you that bitter that you resent people who got the software before you? I saw one there with a rating of -4 just because he liked the software and had no issues installing it. Seriously?

Just a quick note that I received the reg code and serial number about an hour ago, just installed it, ran a quick test, and it seems to be working fine/it looks to be fully registered. Thanks.

Today (about 12 hours later) Franzis sent me the required info.
Windows 7 HP sp1: took just a few mins to install and register the software without a hitch!
Now I can play! yay

Nice hint - to take also the Registration Code as the Serial number - it works.

I have 2 of their programs installed on my computer but even with that, they have never sent me a registration code...How sad...

Managed to download and activate the programme with difficulty, but finally succeeded. For many who would like a free photo editing programme, i suggest downloading Gimp or Gimpshop.

Their naming convention is a kind of interesting, on their site they have previous versions list, and there're 2 version of PHOTO WORKS projects 3, and 2 of COLOR projects 3, and COLOR projects 4 is seems to be their latest version.
Screenshots on this page are seem to be of COLOR projects 3, which was on giveaway earlier this year.
Tutorials on their site are only for COLOR projects, and they appear to only show before and after pictures, without describing any concrete steps to achieve that result.

I never received an email from Franzis even though I got to the last page(confirmation bar). Now what?

I cannot find the program in my start menu. Everything went fine installing. Alsocan not find the file under either program files folder. What am I missing?

I've never gotten my "confirmation email". And time will run out in 25 minutes. Guess I'm outta luck!!! Would like to have tried this program :( Somebody needs to get their act together.)

This is absolutely nuts - how do you run out of serial codes? I have never heard of that happening in my entire digital life....what, they run out of gnomes to go and mine register keys? If you're going to give your product away on GOTD, one would think you'd keep your stock up and ready....

Vas ist lose? Can you spell hideous mess? The person who thought up this process needs to have a few weeks (months, years) of quite confinement to get the drugs out of their system; and then try again. It is insane. I have spent over an hour trying to get this installed. At my normal rate, they owe me money. And I will not accept Euros.

Starting with one of there silly screens requesting information they have no right to, and demanding my agreement to conditions that surely violate some European laws, they are certainly not acceptable to me. When it is all set and done, this is not really a free program, based on the data they insist on collecting.

I have gotten as far as multiple unreadable German email responses.

Is there going to be a rational solution to taking advantage of this "free" application?

Please advise, since it is certain it will not be accomplished today.

Waiting 7 hours for the confirmation codes to be mailed to me. (See my first comment-#67). Applied at the website several times. Checked Spam and Delete folders. Ran a search on my entire email client. Nothing. So I give up now. Will unsub from all his extra emails, and if they continue to come, mark them as spam. What a lousy developer. Don't like game players. None of his programs are worth all this crap and wasted time, to me. And if it should come later tonight, well I am no longer interested!

Hi Beth. I ticked both boxes. Don't think I had a choice if I recall. But I don't have a problem with their marketing emails. They are not as bad as folks say imho. If I did I'd unsubscribe. There are worse companies out there!

I am already registered with Franzis as I have some of their excellent software. Had no problems with them before.

Todays giveaway looks interesting to me and I would really like to test it out but like many others, I cannot even install it due to the registration process!
The installation got as far as the reg splash screen. I hit 'internet' button and had my email address confirmed via a response email from them (in English). All good so far.
I responded by clicking the link in their email as instructed then received another email - this time in German! :o(
Using another website, I tried my best to translate it and it looks like there's a hold up of some kind, possibly regarding the serial numbers issue. (Btw, the email process took around 10 minutes. But over an hour later, the reg splash screen is still open on my desktop, no further forward.)

It is a strange problem I must admit, and GAOTD's rules are to install within a time limit.
What I would like to know is this:
when (or if) I receive the necessary details a day or two later, can I still install this software, even if it is outwith the time limit?

Can't get it to activate. Have installed the trial program, but the registration code they sent keeps bring up an incorrect serial number message.

Waiting and waiting. A email was sent to my junk folder in German or something, but it didn't contain any Product ID or registration code. These types of registration processes are rather annoying to say the least.

So they have no serial numbers available but will automatically send me one when they get more, will it still be a viable giveaway if I don't get it in time today?

i am aleady registered with Franzis,but I must agree the registration is a complicated and probably unnessary rigmarole.At present the installation has been stuck for 30 mins trying to load mirosoft visual c++2088.
