Photo Stamp Remover is a photo correction utility that can remove watermarks, date stamps and other unwanted objects that appear on photographs. Offering a fully automatic process, the program uses an intelligent restoration technology to fill the selected area with the texture generated from the pixels around the selection, so that the defect blends into the rest of the image naturally.
What takes hours to correct using the clone tool, can be accomplished in a minute using Photo Stamp Remover.

Watermarking is really an annoying thing. When I saw that the picture I like had a watermark, I was very upset and didn't know how to remove it. This software is really great, and it solved my troubles easily!

Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong when I get the "Offer is expired" page after I ran the setup.exe and clicked the "Get free activation key?" Same thing happened in December when it was last offered. My comment was not published nor did I get a feedback from the GoTD staff or from SoftOrbits. I'm using the browser Opera ... does that make any difference?

Cool program!! I've tried it on several pics and was able to remove a phone pole w/ wires; a custom watermark, and multiple wires that distracted from a nice sunset. Very pleased with results! It's a keeper in my book!

I had no problem at all downloading and getting the code. No trail version either, but a full program.
Haven't try any pictures using the program yet.

Removing copyright notices from pictures still means you are libel for their use. If a picture without the watermark is used in a manner that is against copyright the user could face full penalties and fines. It is better to not use this since authors add watermarks to protect their content. I recommend you skip this one.

DB, it doesn't just remove watermarks, it removes anything you don't want in a picture. Say that you have a image of a lovely lake, but it has boat in the image that ruins the picture for you. With this program you can remove the boat and have an unspoiled lake. That is what I use this program for. The version from 2017 has a few quirks and I hope this version has corrected some of them. I am certainly getting this program.

Velvet,
Then you should rename the program to object remover as the title suggests removing copyright notices from photos that are usual stamps.

I have sheet music that has a watermark over the entire page so you can barely make out the notes.
Is PSR smart enough to remove the watermark and not mess with the musical score?

dan , You can always try to remove that, but I doubt that all notes are still perfectly readable.

dan , NO!

dan ,

Doubt it. You probably want to use a "normal" image editing program that can allow you to play with the upper and lower pixel value thresholds for things like contrast, brightness, etc.

Then you set those thresholds such that the musical notations become a more solid black, and force the "background" watermark/stain to become a more solid white. The printed result should look close to a new piece of black-and-white sheet music.

Ok, dunno whats special about this, its a TRIAL VERSION - not a free version of the software as they state, there is no registration code, no way to even get one, so why is this saying it's free 50.00 version when all it is is the regular trial version you can get off their site. Disappointed.

Reply   |   Comment by Thomas  –  4 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-3)

It appears it's doing something random or they have now fixed the link, the first time downloading I got photostampremover*.exe now it is giving me the photostampremove*.zip and asking me to submit to get free reg code on install, I enter my email address it says check email for registration link but didn't get one, so I hit back on my browser to go back to enter my email address and it then says I'm approved or whatever and asks me to enter my name then the next page gives me a reg code, lol, think they need to work a little harder to make sure their stuff works properly before telling people to do this or that. Never did get the registration email...oh well, at least it gave me a reg code in a round about way although it really doesnt tell you what version (ie, personal, pro, etc. it listed 3 different versions at first, now I Can't find that page of the different versions for it on their website). it is and their website does not have a 49.99 version I can find anywhere, again, not a properly done gotd.

Confused.... is this free or is it a 50% discount? If it is free, what's the difference between it and the one at 50% discount?

This program runs under Vista without adverse alerts, and going by the way it was linked it could run under XP SP3 as it's executable is built to be loadable in NT 5.1 which equates to XP SP3 There is NO requirement for WIndows 7 or over their choice to exclude XP SP3 and VIsta SP2 is purely a marketing one to give the false impression that their product is a modern product using modern algorithims not supported on older systems which it is not.

The Get Activation Key Now on their webpage is deceptive as pressing it DOES NOT display the activation key there and then but gives an anouncment they have sent it to the address just submitted so once again another email harvester giveaway vendor handing out the same key to everyone using incredibly unreliable email delivery system and harvesting email addresses with no legitimate reason. I HOPE they imediately delete entered email addresses after attempting to mail out the activation key so they are compliant with GDPR requirements snce they have not requested explicit consent to store personal email addresses nor stated why they feel it legitimate to store giveaway particiapants email addresses.

I've been using version 10.2 for several months since the last time it was offered here, and for me it does everything it says it does. Simple and intuitive. Has a good clone feature as well. Well worth a try.

I don't think it was intentional. The giving you the program so why would they try to fool you into thinking it was something that it isn't

I don't know what the deal is with the version so I'm not sure if I should install this over what I've already got.
I will say I've used the software several times. I'm terrible at photoshop type editing and could never what this
software lets me do with ridiculous ease. Even if you don't highlight what you want to remove very carefully it still seems to magically make it all disappear. Only one time was I not able to get it to remove what I wanted but I think
I was trying to overextend its purpose.

But how does it work ? Good, bad ?

Reply   |   Comment by Scott  –  4 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Scott, yes... both good and bad... the photostamp removal process is entirely dependent upon the complexity of the phot content and the stamp to be removed ... it can be good with some images and bad with others. The best one can say with any review of this type of content sensative program is whether the user interface is intuative and non-glitchy and there are no glaring bugs and a sufficient range of controls to tweak problem photo stamps.

Practically the magic wand colour selection tool is not like real graphics programs magic wand in this case selecting a single object surrounded by NON-MATCHING colours will also select matching colours in any region of the photo so it is completely unusable to select one object of a particular colour range while not affecting similar colours elsewhere!

I found this has no sanity protection on its memory allocation requests by loading a 8858 x 12402 pixel JPG file exported from ronyasoft poster designer at maximum resolution (just under a 110Mpixel image)... and this program crashes when attempting to remove a selection signaled by the C++ runtimes requesting to terminate the program in an unusual manner... inpainting is very poor compared to the actual program called Inpaint given away by a different vendor a few times in tha past making completely illogical choices of content to use to inpaint the selected area. But there are other options than inpainting... for me texture generation mode is a processing failure it apears to be stuck in some kind of loop and will result in me using End Task in task manger if this does not do something soon as it's already been over 5 mins trying to max out a single core.

I tested ALL methods on some black text on a section of light grey background next to a person with no overlap so a very simple stamp removal for any photo object removal tool since the background is solid no gradients or textures... and inpaint failed abysmally, Hole filling ignores the selction area restraints and send the entire background colour black... Quick removal also failed abysmally and clone tool while better provides no numerical sample of clone source to ensure the background to be cloned is exactly the same as the background of the target area and no blending tool to smooth any transitions... and of course the texture generation mode stalls at around 15% on the progress bar and procedes no further on this 2,888 x 2,888 pixel image. Which I do not consider to be a particularly high resolution image

Note this is a 32bit program so running it under a 64bit version of windows will NOT give it access to more memory no matter how much RAM you have installed.

What version is "Photo Stamp Remover 2019". Their homepage claims it is version 10, and yet I already have version 10.2 on my PC and it's been there at least a couple of years.
Looks like some skulduggery is going on here to misrepresent the version number.
