Dear users,

To everyone who has issues with installation or activation of the software.

If you are getting 'files are corrupt' message or the installation process does not start, jumping directly to the message 'successfully activated' then follow the instruction below:

1) disable the anti-virus suite and restart the computer. You need to disable all the anti-virus systems if you have more than one installed. Make sure it won't start automatically upon the system boot.

2) download the program archive once again and extract the contents to a dedicated folder

3) Carefully follow the installation instructions in the readme.txt file.

There should be no problems with the installation. Make sure you switch your anti-virus back on after the installation. Please mind that all the files are checked for viruses beforehand, so you may rest assured, the installation is 100% safe.

If you have other issues, feel free to contact our support team at giveaway@giveawayoftheday.com

Sorry for the inconvenience
--
Always yours,
GOTD Team

LIke this program a lot - downloaded no problem, instant activation and set up. Glad it is pro edition offered or I wouldn't have bothered, so thank you for that! I took about a half minute to look at their quick training video and it did help, so I recommend doing that, just shows you around a bit The interface is straightforward and easy to use. I first analyzed, then ran the cleaner using the maximum setting except for registry clean which I set to nomal. It did a lot of good for my computer which I generally don't clean up much. Next I did a defrag and set up the turbo to run at start up, first going through the turbo settings and making sure I knew what was being disabled and not. Really like that feature.

I can honestly say this is one of the few programs of this type that ACTUALLY has sped up my browsing and processing - considerably in fact. I'm going to get this for a second computer as well.

My only criticism which is minor is I suggest the developers add some kind of display that shows the progress of the defrag, such as a simple progress bar. It takes a bit of time to defrag and without some communication or visual clue, it is tempting to think the program is stuck or not functioning properly with just a text that says "defrag" in progress" but nothing else.

Good offering and glad to have it, thanks again.

Package unzipped and then ran the Setup which start up and indicate that the program is being activated, and then ends like "normal", and leave no trace on the harddisk at all.
The program is not installed....!
Looks like the GOTD install program doesn't include the program....!

Wise care seems to be safe but it also can do harm. The driver care messed up my desktop completely, changed the resolution and scattered my icons everywhere. It is probably the best, that is to say, the least harmful, of the "cleaners'.

It's asking me to upgrade. I thought this was the 40$ pro version, yet no where do I see an activation code. I looked at setup read file, but notta. Where do I look?

Reply   |   Comment by joel  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

The Spanish word for 'nothing' is 'nada,' not notta.

As for this program, I think it wise for people to be very cautious about programs that 'clean and speed up your computer, getting rid of junk files.' I used a well-known one last year and lost a critical windows file. Fortunately, I have quite a bit of PC savvy, and after a lot of techie work, I was able to restore it. Now I use only CCleaner, as it has never messed up my laptop.

Reply   |   Comment by Barb  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+10)

Barb,
notta is an American word for nothing.

Taken from Urban Dictionary :
"Opposed to popular belief that "notta"="nada" notta actually is taken from the phrase "not a thing".
In short, notta just "not a" smacked together.
[e.g.] Hey Bill what you doin? Notta damn thing, Greg.

dick durham, We've been getting several message about corrupt installer/file. We're really not sure what is going on. All we did was modify the program to make it full version for all users, and then we've sent the file to GiveAwayOfTheDay admins. He has wrapped the files around with their own installers, and that is what I assume you are having problems with? In which case, I strongly encourage you to contact them regarding the problem.

Yet when you check their about me page the company was just founded this year 2017.....so how is it 5 years on the market????

and what 5 star awards? from who? when? million downloads already in under a year?

There seems to be great concern as regards to using such a program and crashing your system...
While this is always an awful scenario there is an easy way out...

There is a program: AOMEI Backupper.
It is a spectacular EASY to use hard drive cloning or program backup utility. It was offered on GAOTD once. However, there is a FREE version on their site.

Personally, I clone my hard drive once a week. Sometimes more often.
Some time ago I was caught in such a situation where a program took out my OS beyond repair. A clone of the drive saved my bacon.

Typically I have 5 clones with clone "date" tags on each drive. They span a few weeks. Each is in a removeable drive tray. I pop them 25% out when not in use or when the clone copy is completed.

With a current clone you will never fear ransomware/viruses/malware or OS crashes.

In as much as most folks only back up rather than clone, a backup will not save an OS related problem.

MS restore points are VERY unreliable. Don't bet the farm that they will work when needed.

Others rely on virtual sand-boxing of new programs. That's great, but if the OS should ever cave in on itself for whatever reason and you don't have a recent clone of your drive you may be in trouble.

That's my 2 cents
I hope it saves someone in the future.

Apparently Pegasun and Synei are one and the same - have a look at the screenshots on their websites:

http://pegasun.com/system-utilities
https://synei-system-utilities.en.softonic.com/

In 2015, techadvisor.co.uk was not overly impressed with the Synei version of the product, though to be fair, they were evaluating the free version, while this offering is for the Premiere version. Here's the review:

Understand reluctance to try this. (Some years ago, a "deep clean" from another software house totally ruined my PC! Be careful if you have dual boot; sometimes these cleaner programs don't understand that the registry items for duplicated software need to be on two separate partitions). However there are some very brief but positive comments on this software here:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/Synei-System-Utilities.shtml
(Pegasun used to be called Synei)
If somebody finds fuller review, please post!

I have only one PC, and it is so precious that I can't afford to try this untested program to clean it up. It may cause my PC to fail, which will be disastrous.
I think I will wait for other more experienced users to thoroughly test and try out the program first.

Reply   |   Comment by Peter Ong  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+1)

Peter Ong, yes, understood, lost a good friend that way; computer failed he died 30 minutes later of a broken heart! !

Two things I suggest. Google create a "recovery file" and also do a HD backup and store that drive in a safe place. "Recovery" allows you to go back to a better time.. like last week when the computer was working fine.

Backup HD disk: If you screw up the computer or the HD fails of old age, open the $20 "hot swap drawer" pull out problem HD and put in the backup hard drive. Be safe... there are "viruses" other than those carried by mosquitoes. You and your computer sound vulnerable. Get a nerd friend to help you take these safety measures. I have not downloaded this program yet, but I will.

Reply   |   Comment by Marce  –  6 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

Peter Ong, You should be imaging all your drives every month. If things go wrong you simply use the newest image to reimage the damaged drive. If you're not backing up your computer on a regular basis sooner or later you're going to have a disaster. It's only a matter of how soon.

Looking at the product homepage "Awards" was interesting: http://pegasun.com/Company/Awards ~ I hardly recognized many awards or sites. They look fishy to me. The "PC Advisor" linked to a UK site 'tech advisor' which had no mention of any awards but merely concluded, "VERDICT - Synei Disk Cleaner generally finds a lot of leftover files to delete, but as with all similar tools, you need to treat it with caution. Only run the program if you've a full system backup to hand"

Oh-oh, not ANOTHER programme with a "deep cleaning" facility ( and possibly the ability to RUIN your hard disk -- UNLESS they give you a CHOICE of what to delete or "clean up"....

I won't judge till I have tried it, but by now so many people have pointed out the dangers of "over-cleaning" a computer, it should make one very wary....

I might well try the other functions, but I will wait till some other person (perhaps with less to lose -- like he/she was about to re-install the OS anyway) tells us if the "deep cleaning" has an options of what NOT to clean, before I even RUN it....

The other stuff? I'll give it a go, and perhaps come back with some comments....
