Just installed and tried it. It does _not_ work as expected. I protected a pdf against printing an copying of content. After that, printing and copying content was as easy as normal.

Did some further experiments... "protected" a PDF and ticking copy and printing protection, set password to 123 and produced the "protected" PDF document... then loaded the "protected" document and unticked the copy and printing protection and left the password input box blank.... processed the "protected" PDF file and the resultant PDF file was still a rasterised copy but the password copy and print protection had been removed completely... so this will remove that type of protections from PDF files as a side effect of it's anti-copy processing. Shows how pointless the password protection is in PDF protections!

tested it with a PDF protection removing program and then an OCR program... no real protection as already reported and yup it does significantly inflate the size of the PDF file as if it's not compressing the created raster pages optimally or maybe not even at all.

How can it prevent the document being captured as an image from the screen and then rendered into text/ word/pdf? It does say that the PDF can be opened and view.

It converts the document into a high-quality bitmap but this increases its size by more than 18 times. As with Acrobat, the protection can be easily removed. You can then run text recognition in an OCR program.

Indeed. If you can view t you can screenshot and then run OCR on that. Not sure how anything can get around that.
