Hi. Everyone
This program is for outputting watermark.
Watermark is displayed even when outputting to Paper or XPS, PDF files.
Some programs (such as Internet explorer ver 11) may not output Watermark when output to XPS or PDF files.
Also, outputting from the APP programs does not support Watermark.

When this program is installed, Watermark is set by default.
Of course you can change this or remove the Watermark.

if you have any questions, please let me know.

The install (which took me 2 hours and 45 minutes) was unbelievably complex, awkward, and cumbersome.

The smart Aleck in charge of coding this creature of the deep apparently has no experience with different hardware and software, nor any common sense.

Just a few notes:
1) The different screens appearing during the registration process cannot be dimensioned and always stay on top, si it is very difficult e.g. to consult en email with a license key.
2) Dimensioning appears to heve been fixed on a single modern device, e.g. a tablet.
3) A Captcha is used, without any need or justification.
4) An "About" screen cannot be found.
5) All in all, an example of the old adage "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing".

William W. Geertsema,
Did the installation process take more than two hours?
I thought that the installation process would simply be a few clicks of the buttons, but it would look complicated for the user.
It would be a great help if you let me know what you were uncomfortable with.
And this program supports most printers that work with Windows.

First, to clear up any misconception, the license given is full and valid without any term or license period.

Installation was simple if you follow the instructions in the README to the letter. The activation was fast, just getting an activation code via email and copying it into the software.

I am sure the software will be easy to run; it's hardly rocket science. But the GUI is atrocious ! Even though there is more than ample room available there are trucations all over the place. For example a confirmation pop-up displays just "Y" and "N" instead of "Yes" and "No". At the top of the main screen are two check-boxes; underneath it has the very expressive "A ... " and "CA ...". There are no pop-over labels that give any detail. On the main menu there are many more truncations all ending in " ... " like "Even if this box is checked ..."

Worst of all IMHO is when you click on "Exit" a confirmation pop-up displays "Y" and "N". Click on "Y" and you get another confirmation box with "Y" and "N". Choose "Y" and the thing finally quits.

This is totally unacceptable and leaves me thinking that this was rushed to market before the programmers had time to construct the GUI and that this is barely beyond alpha-testing. So although I will play with this some more, today's Giveaway gets a 'thumbs-down' from me.

Paul Binns,
Very strange. In my development environment (Windows 7, 8, 10), "Yes" and "No" are displayed instead of 'Y' and 'N' in Conformation Box. Also, the entire contents are displayed instead of "...", such as "A ...".
Could you please tell me in what environment the phenomenon occurred?

killedthecat, The idea was for security so that nobody could copy the document, an alternative to encryption especially for non-text documents. However, yesterday we had a programme to remove watermarks, so they are no longer of any real use.

killedthecat, Even if you are an individual user, you can print it selectively if you need a watermark for the document to be exported.

killedthecat, e.g. a graphic design company produces a sample design and wants to give the client a copy for approval but does not want them to be able to say no thanks we'll go elsewhere and the ex customer then uses the proof sample without paying for the work done. Generally this is normally only needed by professionals producing sample documents. I presume xSecuritas is permitting commercial use of the giveaway otherwise there is no real point to the giveaway other than for some visitors to try it out and critique it in some way and then uninstall it because they have no strictly personal use for it.

In Enterprise companies, there is often a lot of printing. For example during a product's development, there may be a team to write the documentation, and each person's contribution will need review, which means their document will likely be printed multiple times over its development. Due to a stack of printouts the project leader is getting in their inbox, there can be a lot of confusion as to the state of a particular document. Therefore, a Draft version of a document might be printed with the word "Draft" as a watermark on every page. Eventually when the document is approved, a version with the word "Final" may be printed. Some person's task will be to assemble the various Final documents to see how everything looks as a potential releasable document. When the project lead (or whoever is responsible) approves the entire set, the files will be printed without a watermark. If the in-house printing capabilities are sufficient for the product, the manual may be produced on a simple 8x11 or A4 size paper (depending on the county's standards). Otherwise, the final versions will be sent to an outside printer to make the manuals.

This is only one example. Some companies may wish to have their logo as a faint watermark in the background, especially in finished documents. Therefore, what watermarks are printed can change depending the stage of a document.

A lot of printer drivers have an option to print a watermark. That in itself should be reason enough to understand that there has and probably will be a demand for printing watermarks. If there was no demand, these printer companies would not have bothered.

I have used a similar product to what Output Watermark does for many years. It was a simple program that was Freeware. I got a lot of use out of it.
