TK, the versions I bought were v 18 and the latest version 20. I still have this free v 19 also. There is no difference between the free and the bought versions of a particular edition. You have a good selection of UK and foreign language channels to choose from (although maybe German language stations are best represented) + some US, and you get good sound and picture with even just a regular Internet connection. Later versions add more channels and features such as the ability to record programs.

How about a list of countries and programs? I don't need 100 programs in languages I don't speak.

How do you install this? It only offers me a choice between a registered version or learn more about the program.

It doesn't say anything about recording the program, so I assume it doesn't.
In this respect, the Audials TV Recorder, also offered here from time to time, would be superior.

I have purchased this software and I am very satisfied. The most current version is OnlineTV 20, but this version is just as good. If you like it, you will probably pay to keep upgrading from year to year. I do. Bottom line, a really good Giveaway of the day today.
