If only the sound error can be corrected when using this on mine. Laptop has the same issue. I followed their instructions to the letter and still will only record video and no sound. Prompt pops up to tell me the issue prior to recording.. The previous 2 versions of this have the same problem.

I appreciate your program, but 100 channels from 13 Countries is just a little.. The program Hypnotix in Linux Mint or MX Linux 21 offers more than 800 channels from dozens of Countries.. free!

Does not even reach 100 channels: USA 7 - Austria 4 - Belgium 1 - France 4 - UK 10 - Switzerland 3 - Germany 37 ... Total: 66 channels :-(

Can you search for certain content (such as Deadwind or Law & Order:UK) and potentially find channels to watch them on?

Martin, You are offered a tiny amount of TV and radio channels. In the movie section, you can find old - like real old movies. Then you can search for moore and modern stuff, if you are willing to pay for it. Personally I was disapointed, and I choose to watch my channels on a computer, when I'm on the road. I'd hoped for just a little bit more free stuff like documentaries - and at least a little bit of up to date content besides Al Jazeera and BBC

Allan F, Thank you very much for the info - it's just what I needed to know!

Installed and registered with no problems. Updated channel list and picked BBC to watch, opened and ran very well considering how slow my internet provider is. Thanks.

Hi Elvy,

How did you do that? I got error when I tried to register it with the serial number.

Addendum to my comment #5:

Otherwise it's working fine.

I was able to watch CBS News, BBC World and Disney Channel for a few seconds each.

Thanks GOTD.

Hi,

Thanks for the nice software.

I have onlineTV 15 from this site previously. This one asked to remove it, and I gave it the OK.

Now, this version have some message windows popping in non-English language, I think could be German.

How can I fix that. I don't know what it's saying.

I'm in Saudi Arabia right now, and, changed the country accordingly.

This is troublesome. Wish I kept the older version.

I haven’t downloaded or tried this app, but I’ve got a few questions first.

Do these TV apps really work?
What kind of channels do you get?
Do you get local channels, so local that you can cancel your cable tv?
What is the quality like?

"Do these TV apps really work?

Yes, they work to view basically the same content you're allowed to view on the channel's web site for free. In the US that generally means OTA [Over The Air] broadcast channels, though even PBS has a paid or premium tier nowadays that you cannot watch without a subscription.

"Do you get local channels, so local that you can cancel your cable tv?"

onlineTV 16 Plus allows you to watch local and international content -- it apparently acts like a VPN to watch content that would otherwise be blocked based on your location -- as long as the content is free. Whether it allows you to cancel your cable or not is up to you, and what you want to watch. Lots of people only watch OTA broadcasts, but the number of channels they can receive is often limited because digital OTA signals can be blocked by buildings etc. -- onlineTV 16 Plus could be a nice alternative, with an Android app if you have an Android TV box or setup where you can mirror your phone. If you like to watch paid content OTOH paying for individual subscriptions to your favorite channels could be as expensive as your cable bill, if not more.

wynford,

Short answer, NO. Don't cancel your cable subscription. Of the 100 "stations", you will be extremely lucky if 20 to 25 are in English.

** - I haven't evaluated this piece of software, but speak from experience on other similar offerings over the years.

Useful software for people on the road who wish to watch their favorite programming. A bit long-winded to install, but worth it! There is also a newer Free OnlineTV 17 version but it comes with adds!

dbnnet, That will be expensive for persons, who can stream the channels they already pay for at home. Have you seen the limitations, before you have to pay for content?
