Got it on GOTD 40 mins before close, v 1.4.13.375 Registration perfect, Merge feature works as described BUT Split function not working. Windows 10, latest update so has .NetFramework4.8 installed. Using default Output folder, no split files seen. Box says split successful, but "File List" box says "Error" under State and "Done" under Settings. Am I missing something? Mary Johnson, any chance we GOTD ppl get an updated update that works on Windows 10 21H1

I got an error message "error creating file sharpshell.dll" Access denied. I had an older version. But now it won't work after I tried to install this one. When I opened the older one, it says the license was not generated for this computer. And it just shut down. But I've had the same computer for the last 5 years. Now I have to uninstall the older one since it stopped working.

Does not support Windows 7, as info says, because it requires M$.NET 4.8 or higher, and that does not support Windows 7.

Downloaded, attempted to use and, like the others, it did not save the designated portion of PDF. Went to MSTech website and went through the process to download trial software, thinking GOTD serial number would suffice. Was sent an email with a link to (again) download the program but the link will not work. It is a great idea, but I'm through trying to make this work.

This looked like an app that would be tremendously useful.
It seemed to download OK and seemed to install OK. clicks on the desktop shortcut resulted in : NOTHING, NADA

Tried on a 21 page document (splitting) - works well. Thanks GAOTD and MSTech. I had trouble activating the program - discovered that changing the default installation settings (which are given as an option when installing; i.e. I changed installation folder to Program Files) causes the program to reject the activation code. Only when I accepted the default install folder which is placed on C:\ drive was I able to activate.

Dear Mary (MSTech Support),
The software update to v1.4.14.380 does seem to fix the split function of PDF Split Merge. You do have to be careful, however, to use the program's explorer function in setting the path to the output folder. You cannot just manually type in the output path. Evidently PDF Split Merge does not parse the manual output path correctly, and you'll get an error message (in the File List's State column) much the same as with the previous version 1.4.13.375. Just a word to the wise.

Tried to split a 130-page document into individual pages. App said "Selected files splitted successfully", but in fact nothing had happened. The State column for the doc now said "Error", but there is no way to find out what the error was. There is no Help document; the menu item goes to their site, where the only Support option is to file a ticket.

You are absolutely right. I got the same message, "files splitted successfully" and the "Error" message when I tried to split a simple 10 page PDF. I tried to split the same PDF file with another program with similar Merge-Split functions and the PDF split perfectly into 10 individual files. There is something drastically wrong with MSTech's offering here. And with no functional help file, this program is a candidate for the Recycle Bin for sure. But I'll wait to see if anybody here can figure it out. Anybody?
