MSTech Image Resize is a handy and efficient software which makes you able to resize, compress, rotate, rename and convert your images in both single and batch mode.
Why MSTech Image Resize?
It’s effortless to install and use, without any confusing extra settings.
All you need to do is summarized in three steps:
- Select the file or path
- Select "MSTech Image Resize Basic" From the Windows Context Menu
(Right Click - Shell Menu)
- Set the resizing parameters
- And then press "OK", that's it.

Download, install and activation all worked fine. For me this is an upgrade from a previous version. Program is helpful when you simply need to resize some images. Thank you!
Would like to see an option to find the optimal resize for a given maximum file size. For example, a site allows uploads of no more than 100K per file, and you want to upload the best possible image that fits within that size. Would be nice if the program would figure that out and do it automatically (especially in batch mode), instead of making you do lots of trial-and-error attempts.

Installed and activated fine.
Hit the browse button and it only shows local drives...all my stuff is on a local network (Private home network - nothing special).
It is not possible to access mapped network drives. A shame really because I may have found this programme useful!

After following all directions --filling out the information-then going to register the given serial number online a notice pops up questioning my internet connection--which obviously is working fine--very strange!

vistamike, Bonjour, j'ai eu le même problème. J'ai opté pour l'activation hors ligne et envoyé un émail à l'éditeur qui m'a renvoyé un fichier de licence en me remerciant d'avoir choisi son produit.

Shane Cory Potter, I've been using this program for years. It's free, easy, and works great!

Terry, Photoscape is so much better than what is being offered here a good comparison would be if Photoscape was the best steak you ever ate and what was being offered was cow tongue.

Shane Cory Potter, you are right, PhotoScape as been on my PC for years and I won't change it for something less. I recommend PhotoScape for others too. Thanks.

Shane Cory Potter, you are comparing a multi-faceted program with a single dimensioned one? Best to compare apples to apples not apples to just the left over core.

Hott2,

But, comparing apples to oranges happens as a natural process of life.
If I go to the Farmer's Market and see two vendors, one offering red apples, and another offering light-green apples, I am sure I will be comparing the two. If one of the vendors tells me I can have an apple today for free but they need to have my name and address today as well so that they can send me promotional materials for other types of apples, or even bigger versions of the apple they offer today, I will have to weigh that into my decision. If I choose that vendor, but the vendor's registration process is difficult or unachievable on that day, even if they fix the issue, I will also weigh that in, ... along with their regular price, the terms of use of each vendor's apples, and so on.
At this point, I have compared apples to apples only.
If while considering which apple vendor to go with, someone recommends a third vendor that is offering a full bushel of apples at no cost, and no need to register with the company, I still would be comparing apples to apples. But if the recommendation comes with the additional information that the third vendor also gives out a full bushel of oranges, and a bushel of several other fruits, plus vegetables, and they all are well-endorsed by a large group of people, I might find myself in a position of no longer comparing apples to apples, but I will be fine with anyone's assessment that I have broken a rule of life.
MS Tech Image Resize Basic compares fine with Photoscape and IrfanView for general resizing results. This Basic edition certainly does not compare to other "Pro" resize programs, such as Imagener, Gigapixel, or AlienSkin's BlowUp (now part of ExposureX). The edges of straight lines are way fuzzier than the competition. Possibly, when MSTech's Pro edition comes out, it will compare more favorable to the other resize "Pro" products.
Regardless of how good or bad any program is, there is no need to fault someone for comparing apples to oranges; we all do it because it is natural.
